"What are you going to do with it? Cooking hangover soup?" Jungkook asked, irritated.
"I've got two big tupperware containers full of it, I got them from my grandma before I left," Jimin told me and I listened.
"Do you know her recipe? Does it have a lot of chili and garlic in it and, most importantly... Ginger too? How old is the kimchi?" I asked him.
"Yes, with lots of garlic and chili and ginger in it too. I think it was two months old and is well infused." he answered my questions.
"Okay, bring me a tin and a spoon. Do any of you have any medication? I still have ibuprofen, but only 4 tablets left, so we should save them in case it gets worse. I want to try natural remedies first." Immediately after my request, Jimin disappeared and returned shortly afterwards with a blue plastic box.
"And what do you need this for?" he wanted to know as he handed it to me.
"The combination of chili, garlic and ginger is a natural antibiotic that helps to reduce or prevent inflammation and Hobi is on the verge of pneumonia. I hope I can prevent the worst from happening. Now we'll bring his fever down a little, but not suppress it completely, because the fever is fighting the illness and the kimchi will prevent pneumonia," I explained to him as Jin came back with the cloth strips and warm water and placed everything on the bedside table. I wrapped Hobi's calves and then fed him three spoonfuls of kimchi, which he swallowed, but not without grimacing. Kimchi on an empty stomach, which was affected by alcohol, wasn't exactly pleasant, but it would definitely help. As he needed rest, the others left his room with one last worried look. I kept wiping the cold sweat from his forehead, he was sweating and glowing, but at the same time he was so terribly cold that he was shivering, so the second blanket I put over him didn't help. As his chattering teeth got louder and louder, I slipped under the blanket and hugged him tightly, snuggling up close to him to warm him with my body. It seemed to work, because he stopped shivering and fell asleep peacefully.
I spent the next few hours making new compresses every few hours, wiping his forehead, feeding him kimchi and making sure he drank enough water. The rest of the time, I just held him in my arms to keep him nice and warm. I dozed off a few times myself. In the evening, Jungkook brought me fried fish and wild herb salad with lemon juice and a porridge for Hobi, which they had mixed from coconut and mango pulp so that he had something other than just kimchi in his stomach.
"How is he?" he asked me after he had given me the food.
"A little better, it seems to be working... His temperature has dropped a little and he's not shivering so much," I replied, chewing, as I was so hungry that I immediately stuffed some fish into my mouth. I hadn't had anything for breakfast or lunch because I had completely forgotten about Hobi. That was probably the reason why Kookie brought me my food. As always, he warmed my heart because I was so touched by his care, so I swallowed quickly and leaned in for a kiss. Smiling, he came towards me and kissed me gently. When we broke away again, I sighed contentedly. Even though I had to get used to having three boyfriends at once, I couldn't say that I liked any of them more than the others; my feelings for all three were slightly different, but equally intense. That made me confident that I would be able to build a bond with the others too. Well, that wasn't even necessary with one of them, I'd already been in love with him for years. I was no longer as skeptical as I had been at the beginning when Jimin had told me about his idea, but I would probably have helped him anyway... who could escape Jimin's big, beautiful and incredibly cute eyes and deny him a wish? Well, certainly not me, I was weak when he looked at me so pleadingly...
