After dinner, we sat together for a while and enjoyed the last rays of the setting sun, which looked beautiful on the beach. Then it quickly started to cool down since we were right by the water. We rinsed the dishes in seawater again and placed them on the rocks to dry before bringing the collected supplies into the storage room. We then retreated to the airplane, closing the exterior door and cockpit door to avoid attracting wild animals and protect ourselves from the sudden cold. It had been really hot during the day, but with the rapid drop in temperature after sunset, it was likely to get very cold here at night. Plus, we had light inside, whereas we couldn't see much on the beach anymore. A campfire would have been nice, but we were all exhausted from the day's events, and I could imagine that everyone, including myself, just wanted to go to sleep. We gathered in the cabin, which resembled more of a living room, and sat on the seats arranged like sofas around a table because we still had a few things to discuss.
"I know you're all tired, but we still need to sort out sleeping arrangements and talk about what we should plan for tomorrow," Namjoon began, earning murmurs of agreement and nods.
"The beds can easily fit three people each, so let's have two triple rooms and one double room," Yoongi suggested, and I looked around. I would probably have to share a bedroom with one or two others. The sofas weren't an option due to their straps and seat depth; they weren't even comfortable for a nap.
"I'll share a roo..." Jungkook started but Jin interrupted him.
"With me, Kookie. No arguments," the eldest stated firmly, and Jungkook pouted cutely but gave in.
"Alright then, Y/N will sleep with Taehyung and Jimin in one room, and I'll go with Yoongi and Hobi," Namjoon assigned, and I saw some angry glances directed at Namjoon, but he seemed unaffected by them.
"I hope you like cuddling," Jimin said with a joyful smile, and Taehyung chuckled as he saw his best friend so excited. My tension about ending up with Hobi or Jungkook eased, and I felt somewhat safer knowing that I would be with Jimin and Taehyung. They didn't give off the same sexual vibes as the other two, and I couldn't imagine them taking advantage of the situation. Of course, I didn't know them well enough to be completely sure, but my gut feeling told me that I was right and that at most, Jimin would smother me with affection... not that I would mind. I did have some concerns because Taehyung had been hostile earlier today, but now he had been nothing but friendly. Maybe he was just being cautious, and the emergency landing had strained his nerves, which was understandable. I remembered how much he had cried when he thought we were going to crash, and immediately, I opened my heart to him again and smiled warmly at him, just as he had done with Jimin.
"Well, since we found water and fruit today, I want to try fishing tomorrow. Fresh meat is equally important for us, so it's best if we all give it a shot," Jin suggested, and everyone agreed.
"Also, we should do something like a funeral or rather a farewell ritual or something to honor the dead because they are already buried, but in my opinion, they deserve a few words..." Yoongi added, and a solemn silence fell over us once again. He was right; we owed them that. Their deaths had saved our lives.
