Calm before the storm

The night after the game, a huge party was thrown for Beth as she was the newest member of the camp. No new member had won a game themselves in ages, to the point where Orpheus was the only one who could remember. Noah and Kenneth were dramatically more dressed up than she was used to from them, but Noah was still in pretty normal attire. Everyone was celebrating her arrival and the usual glory of the game. People were laughing, eating, drinking, and dancing to any music they could find. The camp had very little technology so the camp was lit up with torches and lamps. The Athenian Warriors were all huddled together and looking over and Beth, who was standing next to Kenneth. Estevan was no where to be seen, but to be perfectly honest, no one truly cared enough to look for him. Noah had reverted his eyes back to their usual swirling purple form and he was dancing with a child of Circe named Mikayla.
Seemingly the leader of the Athenian Warriors came over to Beth and tapped her on the shoulder while saying "Hey, I would like to talk to you."
Beth turned around and asked "Okay, what is it?"
"I am quite sure you have heard of the prestigious and coveted Athenian Warriors by now, am I correct?"
"Oh, yes! I have, I was actually thinking about trying to join," Beth replied excitedly "However, I have been told about what you have to do to join and it is... kind of extreme to say the least."
"Yes, I am perfectly aware of the test, I was forced to take it myself," She replied before taking another drink "However, the aftermath is beautiful. You are given permission to have a weapon early, and are also allowed out of camp on certain occasions."
"Really!? Wow, that sounds amazing. Why are you asking me, though? I just got here."
"Well, there were a few of us who saw you battling that coward, Noah," The leader replied, hissing the boy's name as if it disgusted her to even mention "He is always using those little abilities of his to evade damage because he knows he is unable to take an actual hit. He disgusts me and all of us true warriors."
Beth decided not to take this route any further, so she went another direction, and asked "So, I would be able to join if I take your test?"
"Take and pass," The leader reminded her "There is also something you must do between fighting your entry battle and taking the entry test."
"What is it?" Beth asked, curious and eager to finally be able to join something that she wouldn't be ripped away from within two or three months.
"You must get three other campers to agree to your entry into the Athenian Warriors. These are anyone you should choose with one exception. You can not ask someone who is already part of the Warriors."
"Sure, that should work." Beth turned away from here and looked around at other campers "Maybe I should make some friends here at my party... or maybe I could ask those I have already met." She turned back to where the leader was "Okay, I think I can make-" She looked up from her drink and saw that the leader had gone back to the other Athenian Warriors "Uh... okay."
She went back to her party and decided to just stick with the people she had already met. She figured that Noah would let her enter as he liked how tenacious she was... or at least he seemed to. Kenneth seemed like he would go for it just because she wanted to do it, so maybe he would see it as a good learning experience for her. She wanted to do everything in her power to avoid talking to Estevan because... well he was just kind of a jerk. That being said, she didn't even know where to find him. She looked back around and saw her friends hanging out with others. Noah was still dancing with the Circe girl, and they looked closer than she had seen him with anyone. To most people he was very playfully... almost a bully to a point, but with Mikayla, he seemed much looser. They acted like siblings who could just be themselves around. Kenneth was dancing in a much more romantic fashion with a Demeter daughter. They were clearly romantically engaged. From what she had gathered about Noah, he seemed almost incapable of romantic feeling. She looked around and tried to find Estevan just for fun, but for the life of her, she couldn't find him. It was like he had just up and disappeared after the Capture the Flag game. She had heard that Kenneth beat him pretty quickly, but it didn't make sense to her. They were all on the same team, why would they be fighting? The party came and went, as most tend to do. The sunset that Noah and Beth had fought with and the party had began under quickly turned to dusk, then the party dispersed around an hour past the moon's highest point in the air.
