Odin transported them back up to the Yggdrasil with a seed to let them go back to their world. With their weapons sheathed, they were all ready to end it. The tree opened and they all stepped through, just waiting to be put back into the Mortal Plane. Once they were back, they got onto Gulltoppr, and started to head back to the haven. What were they going to do when they got there? Each of them had their own plan. Eden got off of Gulltoppr and began to bury the bodies of the fallen so they could grow into trees which would nurture the Mortal Plane even more than normal ones did. When Nate got off, he went back down into the water to look for anything that might give them an edge... and found nothing but seaweed and even more bloated bodies. Mikayla looked for a few books or magic totems she could learn quickly from. Unlike Nate, she actually did find a few Vanir magic and Egyptian magic books. She put them in a little bag and put them on the back of Gulltoppr. Marc just wanted to appreciate the permafrosted lightning bolt one last time in case he never got to see it again. Kenneth looked for anything that could help him go faster in the fight as he knew who he would hunt down, and she would be one of his hardest races he'd ever run. Unfortunately, his search was just about as fruitless as Nate's had been, all he found were burnt winged shoes and those were essentially useless to him.
"Alright... everyone ready to go?" Beth asked, "Because if there is anything anyone wants to do before we finish, now is the time." They all looked around at each other for a moment before they all walked back to Gulltoppr "Right... I was kind of hoping for a distraction before we did this, but okay." They got onto Gulltoppr and he ran as fast as he could back to Los Angeles.
They rode so fast through LA that most people didn't even notice they were there. They raced up the hill to the Hollywood sign so fast some of the grass began to catch fire. However, the fire was put out well before it could get out of hand thanks to the snow that was still falling thanks to Demeter. They tied Gulltoppr to the pole of the sign under the H and like in Salt Lake City, Nate gave him a ball made of Bifrost to play with. Unlike the rest, the Asgardian Horned Lion looked like he didn't have a care in the world. He was just relaxing, having fun with his ball. Nate couldn't help but just watch his furry friend for a moment and wish he could be that care free. The others walked through the gates to Hades and Nate had to tear his attention away from his furry companion to follow them. As they walked back down into Hades, the souls in Asphodel walked right by them.
"Alright, we have to go as fast as possible," Beth told them "We do not know how much time we have, but it can not be much. My mother is not one to wait past the time she allows."
"Beth, remember these words, Hel, mark them down," Nate replied while cracking his neck "This fight will bring the end."
"But then what?" Kenneth asked "What is the plan for the friends we have lost along the way?"
"We can only remember them, keep who they were alive through us," Eden answered "Are we all afraid? Most likely, we are about to go face several Gods in combat. Is it likely for us to die? Absolutely, even with the help from the Nine Realms... but we will carry the torches, the flames of all those who gave their lives in the fight against Athena at the Haven."
"Eden's right, we won't let their deaths have been in vain," Mikayla agreed.
They walked to Charon's boat and he didn't even need to ask where they were going. Hayden had apparently told him about what their plan was. The boat ride was silent, the only sounds being the souls walking the Asphodel and the boat slicing through the calm waters. When they got to the dock, they all got off and didn't even look back. They walked to the doors and Nate casually kicked them open. The group walked into the throne room and Hayden already knew what, or more accurately, who they were there for. He nodded and let them pass through the gates into Olympus... however, what they were met with was not what they had expected. What they found in front of them was a large battalion of Athenian Warriors standing at the foot of the stairs, it was clear they had been waiting a while.
"Did you not expect this?" Athena asked as she appeared behind them, having used her little pocket dimension to speak to the God Killers without any interruption "Of course you would need to come through these gates. Why would I not have my army stationed out here? Now... I would like to hear your feeble last words."
"Yeah... we've got words," Mikayla told her quietly.
"And now you're gonna hear 'em!" Nate told her forcefully "Today you and your regime will fall." He turned to her and gave Marc a mental message to get ready, so he began to charge up his weapon "Your bones will crush to dust... we'll spread your ashes through the wind!" With that, Marc used all of his power to blow away the pocket dimension, bringing them back to normal time.
"So be it, attack!" With the command given, Athena's soldiers charged toward the small group of determined warriors "Know this, my daughter. You and your friends die today!"
