Beth opened her eyes and could see the sunrise beginning to rise over the horizon to her left. She sat up and yawned before looking over at the lawn chairs. Neither Nate nor Kenneth had moved much in the night if at all. She turned and stared down at the mangled stub of what was left of Nate's right arm. When she had first met Athena, she would never have expected her to have done that to someone. She thought she could ease pain and help people make themselves better and stronger, like she did to Aiden. However, she didn't really know the full extent of what she had done to Aiden besides giving him a new eye and an upgraded arsenal. She got up to her feet and walked down into the main kitchen to find Eden cooking them some food. She had already made high class versions of the food they would always eat back home. She was wearing a pair of simple white sweat pants and a gray long sleeved shirt so as to not burn herself... and yet it rose up to just above her navel. Likely an idea given to her by Mikayla.
"Good morning, Eden," Beth greeted her as she walked into the kitchen.
"Good morning, Beth," She replied with her usual warm smile "Did you sleep well?"
"Uh, kind of..." Beth replied while stretching her neck "My spine feels a little stiff."
"Oh, I am sorry about that," Eden said while looking back at the food. "Breakfast should be ready in a few minutes. Could you wake up the boys and get Mikey out of the pool on the back of the main deck?"
"Are you sure you do not want to go get her?"
"And let you handle the rest of the food?"
"Okay, ouch, but fine."
Beth walked out of the kitchen and into the elevator to the main deck and saw Kenneth poking Nate with Beth's spear. He was still asleep and thankfully, Kenneth wasn't using the blade. If the roles were reversed, she was quite sure Nate would've been using the blade of the spear. As she walked up, without opening his eyes, Nate grabbed the spear with his left hand.
"Alright, I'm up. Jeez." He pulled the weapon out of Kenneth's hands and threw it behind him before opening his eyes "Eden cooking?"
"Mhm," Beth replied.
"Alright, let's go."
"No, first we need to get Mikayla out of the pool," Beth sighed.
Kenneth looked over at Nate, who let out a long groan, and got up while sighing "Fine." He walked down the stairs and into the pool room where Mikayla was swimming and yelled "Magic midget, get the Hel out of there!"
"Ask nicely."
"No! Get out here!"
"Fine."
She swam over to the edge and pulled herself out of the pool. Kenneth and Beth looked away, but Nate didn't as he was completely numb to her body. She was only wearing a bikini, so she was almost entirely exposed, but again, he was numb to it. She dried herself off and put on some jean shorts and a sleeveless t-shirt. After putting flip flops on, they walked into the dining room closest to Eden's chosen kitchen. They all sat down at the table and found a feast that even the Gods would never have imagined. Mikayla wondered how long Eden had been awake... and then she remembered how versatile she could be with her powers. Using any foliage she may have brought with her, or any plants already on the ship, it wasn't too far fetched to assume she used them to help.
As they started to eat, Eden asked "So, how did everyone sleep?"
"Not bad," Nate replied "Until this dumbass decided to start poking me with Beth's spear."
"Hey, I am the one who had to sleep with that image of your arm stub in my head, I will take any retribution I can get."
"Boys, boys. Maybe you two can annoy each other after we eat, okay?"
As they ate breakfast for the first time in ages, they actually just had fun in each other's company. They always enjoyed being together, sometimes more than others, but for the first time in a long time, they could just relax. For once, Nate didn't look like his mind was constantly thinking about the worst possible scenario. None of them were wearing armor and in fact, they were all wearing more basic clothes than they generally did. The biggest thing, though, was that no one had any weapons on them. Not even Beth, who had the best reason to be constantly armed.
"So, now that we've got a few days to just chill, anything you guys wanna do?" Mikayla asked, "I could probably make sure this place is running at peak efficiency by noon."
"Hm... well, maybe we can all have a private party," Beth said in response "Nate has always had a thing for music. Maybe he could be the d.j.?"
"Yeah, I'll take a stab at it," Nate agreed while eating his chicken and waffles "Any of you bring any fancy clothes?"
"We still have that stuff from the hotel," Eden reminded him.
"Wait, what? How do any of you have anything from that chao- you know what? Who cares? I'm not the one who's gotta get dressed up."
As the day went on, Mikayla made sure everything her friends wanted to do was done. Anyone wanted to use a waterslide? The water would be flowing so it would work. Anyone want food? Well, Eden had blown her load with breakfast so Mikayla used a spell to keep the food coming. The day was long and filled with fun, any boats who passed watched as an amazing cruise was taking place, but all there were were five powerful Demigods having stolen an entire ship. Gulltoppr was still asleep downstairs, which didn't surprise any of them. If he really wanted to, he could most likely sleep for all of their entire life times, but seeing as he was their friend and usual mode of transportation, they had to get him up more often than that. While looking around the ship, Nate found some fireworks, likely for one of the nights. Knowing they would likely never get this kind of opportunity again, he made sure that everything they needed to light them was ready.
As night fell, their admittedly small party began and everyone was dressed up, well aside from Nate, but everyone had expected that. As the party started getting going, Mikayla used some of her magic to create more party goers for the party to feel even grander. The extent of her magic was something not even her friends, or even she knew, but it made life a whole lot more fun. She could only create versions of people she had met, so every so often there would be a duplicate. People passing in the night watched, envious about the party they were missing out on. Kenneth ran races around the deck while Eden helped prepare more food. Mikayla had stripped down into her bikini again and led a pool party. Nate set off the fireworks and gave them a Bifrost upgrade to make them even more stunning. Beth was leaning against the wall with a drink in her hand while in a short tight red dress and black heels. She sighed thinking about Hayden. She wondered what he was doing right now. Nate noticed this and kept the music going and walked over to his friend.
"Thinking about Hayden?" He asked as he came over and leaned on the wall next to her.
"How did you-"
"Didn't have to read it." Nate grinned at his best friend "And let's be honest, he's probably just doing what Hades did whenever he was waiting for Persephone."
"That being?" Beth asked.
"Absolutely nothing!" Nate exclaimed before taking another swig of alcohol "Come on, just relax, there's probably a Hayden in the pool or some shit." He walked off and Beth sighed, deciding, like usual, Nate was probably right, so she looked around, trying to find a Hayden clone.
