"Now, everyone. We know you all want to get to the main event, but we've got something special in mind for you tonight before that." Everyone was confused as after the forms, it was usually just onto the four way battle royale "Before the main event, we wanted to give you a little peak at what two of our performers are able to do. Earlier we witnessed an amazing display of power from three of our best warriors. Only one of them was meant to participate in tonight's event, but I wanted to give the other two a chance to show off their own fighting prowess. So... if everyone wouldn't mind, please welcome Marc and Kenneth! Call this the Demigod Expo." Everyone was silent as the two walked on stage "Alright, bow..." They both did respectfully "Touch gauntlets." They held their fists out and bumped one another "Take one step back..." The two did as they were told "Alright, you two have two minutes. Have fun."
Kenneth opened with a flying roundhouse to Marc's head, but he blocked with a flying knee strike. They both landed and Marc stepped forward to punch. Kenneth took a step back and used a punch of his own to block the strike. Marc hopped forward and sent up a front instep kick, but Kenneth blocked with his forearm. He jumped to the side of Marc and used his new angle to jump easily away from a punch. Kenneth jumped forward and punched at his ribs, but Marc lifted his leg up to block the attack. Kenneth stepped back, then swung a left roundhouse kick at Marc's stomach.
"Ah... hahaha," Mark laughed jokingly as the kick made contact.
Kenneth circled around Marc and leaned away from a crescent kick, then he leapt forward. He hook punched at Marc's head, but he used a hook punch of his own to entangle their arms. Marc jerked his fist up and punched Kenneth in the nose, which knocked him back. They both jumped back and Marc swung a punch at his eye, but he completely missed.
"Still ready to go, Marc?"
"You took the punch man, let's go."
Kenneth was about to attack again when Marc heel kicked at his ribs. Kenneth used his arm to block the strike and Marc's foot pushed his arm into his side. When Marc put his foot down, Kenneth tried to hook punch him, but Thrud's son grabbed his wrist. He pulled him in and Kenneth used this to punch Marc in the nose. Marc barely even reacted to the strike, but he did palm Kenneth in the shoulder to knock him back. They both step back and put their guards up simultaneously.
"Ready for more?"
"Hel yeah, let's do this."
Marc smiled and jumped forward with a punch, but Kenneth slapped it away, and stepped backwards. Marc pulled his fist back and Kenneth ran toward him. Marc swung his leg up in a hook kick, but Kenneth just grabbed his ankle. He stood straight in front of Marc, then dropped his leg, and punched at Marc's head. He ducked away from the first one, then blocked the next. He stepped back and punched Marc's hand into his head, which knocked him backwards. Marc shook his head and glared at Kenneth again before jumping and swinging a hook pinch at his head. Kenneth jumped away from them and they circled around one another.
"Getting tired, Marc?"
"Nah, you're just dodging around me. Not much energy to lose there."
"Do not get too cocky." Marc swung a roundhouse kick up at his head, but Kenneth blocked the strike, and jumped back "Striking still takes energy."
"Oh, just shut up and fight."
"This coming from you?" He jumped forward and thrust a side heel kick into Marc's stomach "You leave your torso open a lot."
"Yeah, but it doesn't really hurt." He swung his knee up at Kenneth, but he slapped the attack away "I'm a bit of a tank." He tried a knee again, but he slapped the attack away.
"Sure, but..." He leapt forward and jab punched Marc in the forehead "Even a tank will crumble under enough pressure." He punched Marc in the chest again, then blocked a wild upward kick.
The two circled around each other before Kenneth swung a roundhouse kick at his head. Marc grabbed his foot and pushed him back, then swung a front instep kick at his groin. Kenneth casually jumped to the side of the attack, then jerked his head away from a straight jab. He moved to the side of Marc and blocked a roundhouse kick that was aimed at his chest. Marc put his foot down, then lifted it back up, and thrust a side heel kick at his ribs. Kenneth swung a rotating backfist into his leg and knocked it aside. Right after the block, he jumped forward, and roundhouse kicked at Marc's chest. He let the strike hit him, then he elbowed Kenneth's hamstring, causing him to step back.
"Oh, seems like you're not quite as durable as I am."
"No, but notice how you have landed far fewer hits on me than I have you. Your lack of speed is what will be your undoing here."
Kenneth dove in and ducked underneath a punch to his nose, then buried his fist in Marc's stomach. He barely even flinched at the attack as he swung a knee up into Kenneth's nose. He grunted as his nose spurted blood, but he kept his shoulder burning in Marc's sternum. He elbowed Marc with the arm he had buried in his chest, then stood up, and punched him in the nose. Marc staggered backwards and swung a punch at Kenneth's head, but the son of Hermes simply stood there and let it sail in front of him. The two walked back toward the center of the arena and put their guards up once again.
"Ready for more?"
"Not even half the time's done. Hels yeah."
Marc lunged at Kenneth and thrust a hook punch at his stomach, but he just dodged out of the way. Marc tried to kick him, but Kenneth knocked his foot down before it could even swing. While Marc was on one foot, Kenneth kicked him in the back, but the son of Thrud pushed him back with his shoulder. Kenneth stumbled back and pushed a punch to his nose away. The two punched at each other and Kenneth's fist collided with his opponent's jaw while Marc's buried itself in his foe's ribs. Kenneth grunted as he was pushed backwards a centimeter, but then he took a step forward. He pushed Marc back and he could tell he was tired. Nate, who was sitting in the wings above the arena, could tell that Marc was out of gas. He tried to push his fist further into Kenneth's stomach, but he took a breath in to make sure he couldn't. He had closed his eyes while taking in the breath, then opened them again, and pushed Marc down to the floor. He pushed his arm as far as it could go, then he stepped forward, and let Marc fall. He landed on his back with a loud thud that shook the entire arena. Kenneth was about to cheer when he suddenly fell down onto his knees. He flopped down on his back and the two started laughing.
"Oh... huh. With about a minute left on the clock, I guess we can call this match a tie," Orpheus said as he walked up onto the stage "Neither fighter seems to be able to continue the match! This fight had no consequence for defeat or victory, but still, what an unpredictable outcome!" The crowd was cheering at this point as they had been pretty silent for most of the fight, everyone eagerly watching as the two battled "Now, are you all ready for the main event?!" The crowd cheered and two Valkyrie carried the two boys off the stage "Now, let's get onto the battle royale." The entire audience stood up and cheered so loud that earthquakes started to form all around the world "Let's go!"
Everyone began clapping as Estevan and a son of Dionysus walked up onto the stage. Most were confused where the other two were, but some saw Nate and Beth just in the rafters. Estevan and the Dionysus kid looked at Orpheus, then bowed. They faced each other and bowed, then put their guards up.
"Begin!"
Before the Dionysus son could even move, Estevan swung his foot into his face in a crescent kick. He fell down to the ground and Estevan walked a few steps away. The son of Dionysus pushed himself up and pulled a tooth out of his mouth that Estevan had knocked loose. Estevan cracked his neck and the two faced one another once again.
The son of Dionysus swung a wild hook punch at Estevan's neck, but he just stepped back to avoid the attack, and asked "Is this all you are going to show me?"
The Dionysus son put his guard up again, then jab punched at Estevan's nose, but he just slapped it away. He stepped back and the son of Dionysus cross punched at his chest. Estevan grabbed his wrist and pushed it down while taking another step back. He used the same hand to slap another hook punch away from his jaw. The son of Dionysus thrust a punch at his shoulder, but Estevan grabbed his wrist. With his free hand, Estevan swung a hook punch at his head, but the Dionysus son ducked under the strike. He pulled his arm out of Estevan's grip and fell backwards. The son of Ares grabbed his throat and pulled him back up into an elbow to the throat. He swung his elbow into the side of the son of Dionysus's eye, then slammed his shoulder into the boy's chest.
"What, is this all you can do?" Estevan asked as he hook punched him across the jaw.
He uppercut him in the stomach, then got behind him, and put him in a headlock. He swung his knee up into the son of Dionysus's kidney twice, then swung him around. When he could face him again, the son of Dionysus tried to plead to Estevan to stop. Before he could even finish his sentence, the son of Ares leapt up into the air. The Dionysus son looked up and Estevan thrust his heel into his nose, which knocked his opponent out cold. The crowd didn't even cheer at this, they all just gasped at the absolute brutality. The fights tended to be pretty equal, but that was nothing but a slaughter.
Estevan was looking around for a new opponent when Nate's voice rang out with "Well, that was boring..." He jumped down from the rafters and walked toward Estevan with no visible signs of readiness to fight "Guess who's next."
"Oh, are you sure you are ready to be humiliated in front of your father?" Estevan asked as he summoned a spear to his hand.
"Ya know, it's funny. I am sure about that." He dashed forward and palmed Estevan in the nose, which made him stumble back "I'm feeling completely sure about it."
"Oh, that is it!"
Estevan threw the spear away and summoned a sword, then ran at Nate. He jumped, spun, and swung the sword down at him diagonally, but he just leaned out of the blade's path. He spun back around and slashed up at Nate's chest. He ducked underneath the attack and Estevan spun a third time. He swung down horizontally at Nate's head, but he just stepped away from the attack.
"Wuh? Huh? How did he do that?" Nate asked, mimicking Estevan in a mocking tone.
"Do not mock me..." He picked up the spear and threw it at Nate, but he just rolled toward Estevan underneath the tipped weapon.
He tried to attack Nate again at close quarters, but it didn't work, so Estevan created a bow, and fired it at Nate, to which the son of Heimdallr said "Oh no... arrows. How... fearsome." He could barely even hide the disappointment in his voice, but then he decided to mimic him again "Uh oh. Even that didn't work? Man, I am really screwed now."
"All of your arrogance will go up in smoke one day."
"Oh I'm perfectly aware," Nate told him while calmly catching another arrow "But it ain't gonna happen by your hands." Before Estevan could attack again, Nate dashed forward and slapped him in the face again, which enraged Estevan and sent him into another melee barrage "Sure... completely ineffective, so go ahead, and keep doing it." Estevan jumped away and Nate yawned while stretching, as if he never even noticed any of his opponent's attacks.
"Oh, you are going to regret treating me like a joke!" Estevan jumped at him and swung a punch, but he just sidestepped the attack "What?" He punched at the back of Nate's head, but he ducked the attack, and pushed him forward "Are you playing with me?" Estevan asked as he turned back around.
"Kinda, yeah." Estevan threw a punch at him, but he ducked the punch again, and back kicked him, while asking "Is this it? Is this all you've got to show me, Ares?" He looked directly at the powerful Olympian, which shocked the entire audience as there were very few people at the camp who would mock an Olympian in general like that, non the less to his face "Alright, enough pussy footing around." Nate turned around and cracked his neck "I wanna get to the main event." He ran at Estevan and swept his legs out from underneath him, letting the Ares son fall on his back "But this fight was very nice, with moves like that..." He lifted his foot up and slammed it into Estevan's chest "With moves like yours, it's a wonder how you've lost every time we've ever fought." he pushed him down to the ground again and Beth jumped down "Ugh, finally." he turned around and faced her "Ready for a rematch?"
"I will beat you this time."
"Sure, you will," Nate replied "Or maybe you'll do it some other way, oh we're starting now."
She threw a spear at him, which he caught, but both of them knew that was the plan. She ran at him and tried to use an opening to punch him in the face. He casually dropped the spear and side stepped her attack. She turned to face him and she swung a punch at his mouth. He ducked under the attack and stepped behind her casually, then patted her on the head. This enraged her and she turned around and hook punched at his head. He just weaved around the strike, then ducked underneath two punches to his nose. He stood up and leaned away from a roundhouse kick to his chest, then ducked under another hook punch. He stood up and used his forearm to block a crescent kick to his temple. He pushed her foot away and then jumped away from a heel kick to his chest.
"Well, alright then. You wanna fight for real? Then fuck it, let's fight for real." He pulled his fist back and slammed it into her chest, which sent her flying backwards.
She did a backroll once she landed and got back up while thinking to herself 'Wow, he is much stronger than I thought.'
She scrambled back to her feet and ran at him with a punch to his nose. He jerked his head back to evade the attack, then he blocked a roundhouse kick to his ribs. He pushed her leg down and palm struck her in the shoulder. He managed to get her out of his way and took a step behind her. She turned around and thrust kicked at his groin, but he grabbed her ankle, and threw her away. He hook punched her in the back of the head which caused her to do an involuntary front flip. She landed on her back, then did a backroll to get back up to her feet.
"Wow, when did you get this strong?"
"We haven't trained together seriously in a while. I also hold back all the time."
"So you are stopping?"
"Nope."
"Fine."
She hook punched at his head, but he blocked her strike with his forearm. He pushed her arm down and he elbowed her in the stomach before spinning. He punched at her head, but she blocked the attack, then he blocked a knee to his stomach. She backfisted at his head, but he leaned his head back to dodge the attack again. He pulled his foot back, then thrust a side heel kick at her chest. She grabbed his foot and pushed him back, then she ran at him, and they both jumped into the air. Beth thought she finally had him right where she wanted him and sent a side kick at him while they were in the air. He grinned at her and twisted out of her foot's way, then slammed his own foot into her ribs in a roundhouse kick. She was sent spiraling as they fell to the floor, both landing on their backs, and rolling back up to their feet.
"Where'd all that power go?" Nate asked.
"This is nothing, Nate. Come on."
The two faced each other again and she backfisted at his head, but he leaned away from the strike. He sent a backfist of his own and she blocked it with his palm. He stepped forward and tried to elbow her, but she instinctively dodged the attack. Before he could see what she was about to do, she wrapped her arm around him. She pulled him down to the ground and tried to kick him, but Nate blocked her kick with his own foot.
They pushed each other away and Nate said "Not a hit, but good job." They both rolled back up to their feet and he saw that her shirt's buttons had come undone 'Hm... no, I'm not an Olympian... but I've got an idea.'
She roundhouse kicked at his head, but he leaned away, and while she was spinning, he lightly backfisted her in the head. She stumbled forward and rubbed the back of her head as she turned back to him. She swung a punch at his nose, but he pushed her fist away, and roundhouse kicked her in the stomach. She stumbled backwards and he stepped toward her. He punched at her chest, but Beth wrapped her arm around his. She pulled him toward her and he instinctively grabbed her shirt. She backfisted at his head and he leaned back, which accidentally tore her shirt off. No one really reacted as this was quite common in these battle royales. He stumbled back and threw her shirt to the ground, then Beth rushed forward without thinking. She tried to grab him again, but he spun around her, and threw her down to the floor.
They were about to continue fighting on the ground when a horn sounded and Orpheus said "And that's time!" The two got back up and faced him "Both of you did very well, however because of the rules and how points are distributed, the winner of this Battle Royale is Nate Dallr!" The crowd cheered and the two combatants bowed to each other.
'Oh, I am going to kill you.'
'Gonna be difficult, but I believe in you,' He replied in her head.
'How can you be this annoying?'
'Don't know. Don't care.' They stood up and Nate thought into her head 'Time to face your mom.'
