Kenneth was still breathing heavily from his showdown with his father, but they figured he should be fine to walk. He put the key into its hole and turned it, causing the door to raise up. The moment they saw the Gorgon Blood, Eden instantly snatched it up in her hand. What none of them had noticed was that Athena had attached the bottle to a strike, which ran a bell. The clang of the bell sounded all throughout the city of Olympus and the four looked around. They heard hooves stampeding toward them... and realized what Athena's back up plan was.
"Ugh... really, a bunch of these morons?" Mikayla asked while covering her hands in magical power.
"I think we can take them," Beth replied while unsheathing her newly reinforced weapons and holding them at the ready.
"Yeah, I uh... I do not think I am... I am up to this," Kenneth admitted, and then, he fell on his back on the floor.
"Kenneth!" Eden turned and knelt down to him "Are you okay?"
"Y- yeah..." He replied while trying to sit up "The race... took a lot out of me..."
"Hey, sh, sh, it is alright. We will take care of this." Kenneth nodded and layed back down while Eden stood with her two friends.
She stood next to Mikayla and passed her to Beth, who nodded before directing her gaze back to the horde, and reminding them "Leave a trail for Kenneth."
Mikayla took his chained daggers off of her hips and spun them around in her hand. Eden created a staff and got into a ready position with the weapon held behind her. Beth raised her shield up in front of her face and pointed her spear at the enemy horde.
"Let's go."
The three Demigoddesses began to charge at their enemies and the horde of Satyrs and Centaurs ran back at them. Mikayla leapt up into the air and swung her weapons around. She spun around in the air and when she landed, her weapons cleaved through a few Satyrs and a Centaur. Eden used the roots in the mountain to throw, stab, and grab enemies, the very unlucky ones were dragged down under the ground. Beth's power over weapons came in incredibly handy in cleaning up the horde as she brought several long, bladed weapons up, and chopped away her enemies. Mikayla was beginning to get overwhelmed and a Centaur was getting ready to do what they do best when a spear was thrown through his head. He fell on his side and Beth called her spear back to her hand, the two nodded to each other, and they continued fighting. Eden created a dome of roots around herself and from within, she stabbed her staff into the ground beneath her. Roots stabbed up from the ground and impaled several enemies, but that was simply a drop in the bucket of all of these enemies. She dropped down into the city's tunnels and popped back up before using her dome as a wrecking ball. While she was not interested in killing her opponents, unlike most of her friends, she would if it was necessary, and at the moment, lethal attacks were the only option.
"God, these things are just never ending!" Mikayla exclaimed as she used an explosion spell to throw more of their enemies away "How many of these rapists did Athena gather?!"
"All they tend to be interested in is banging women!" Beth reminded her while shield bashing another Centaur off the edge of the mountain "Probably just needed to tell them a couple girls are coming!"
"Oh, that's just tacky!" She engulfed her weapons in magic again and spun around with the chains at their longest, cleaving away almost a hundred hooved enemies in one motion "Why didn't they just take her? There are so many of these guys, I doubt she'd be able to fend them all off."
"Mikayla, they are purely mortal, so if it came to that, she could just take her true form, and incinerate them all instantly," Eden explained as she wrapped vines around a Centaur's neck, snapping it slowly "Plus, do you really think she gathered all of these at the same time?"
Mikayla groaned and decided to end the conversation as they continued running through their enemies. Eden created a while made of vines in her left hand and a sword made of roots in her right. She swung the whip and wrapped it around a Centaur's neck, then pulled him in, and stabbed him through the chest. A Satyr swung a punch at Beth's head, but she grabbed his fist. She stabbed her spear down at his head, but he just grabbed her pole. She pulled him into a knee strike to his groin, then rolled over his back, and stabbed him through the spine from behind. Mikayla threw a bunch of magical pink fireballs at a group of enemies and tossed them over the side. They were getting closer and closer to the best area to get off of the mountain, so they knew they were close to their goal. Mikayla turned and instantly stabbed the closest Centaur in the chest. She pulled her blades out and let it flop to the ground and they saw that there weren't too many left. Another Satyr charged Eden, but she jumped over him, and decapitated him with another root sword. Beth just sighed and walked up to a seemingly shocked Centaur, calmly kicking him off the mountain before he got his wits back about him. Mikayla stabbed another Satyr and one of them finally got the idea to run... which wasn't an option. Mikayla didn't want any reinforcements coming so she just created a spear made of magic and tossed it through his chest.
"How you two doin'?" Mikayla asked, panting for breath as she sheathed her weapons again.
"Not bad, a little winded," Beth replied while chuckling, "What about you?"
"Tired... wanna take a nap," Mikayla answered.
"I can understand that," Eden sighed as she created another weapon made of roots "But I think there are more. We have only taken care of a few dozen, and by my count... that was about half." The two taller girls looked down at their older friend in disbelief, then looked to where she was pointing with her sword.
"Oh, come on! How many of these guys are there!?"
"Let's just hope this is the rest of them," Mikayla groaned "Come on."
The three ran toward the second wave of hooved opponents and leapt into the air. As the other two fought off their own opponents, Mikayla battled two at once thanks to her dual daggers. Beth saw one Satyr pick up a bow and batted it out of his hand before spinning, and stabbing him through the heart. She looked back to Eden who was facing the Centaur archer and she tossed her shield to her small friend. Eden walked toward the terrified Centaur, who fired a bunch of arrows, but Demeter's daughter blocked them all. Since he wasn't paying attention, he didn't notice Mikayla sneaking up behind him, and he fell once his spine was severed. None of the three fully understanded how Athena had gathered so many of these... but they also didn't exactly care because they were falling faster than the Athenian Warriors. At this point it seemed like anything but actual Gods would be barely a threat to them anymore.
"Wait, where's the Gorgon Blood?" Mikayla asked as she stabbed another Satyr behind her.
"It is safe with Kenneth, do not worry," Eden replied while dragging another Satyr under the mountain, forever entombing the hooved sexual deviant.
"Okay... I think that's the last of them..." Mikayla panted as she used another magical blast to throw the rest either to their deaths or far enough away to make sure they couldn't be followed "Now, come on! We gotta go! God damn it, why is life so difficult." They all slowly ran toward the edge they were going to make for and they saw Talos waiting to help them, so Mikayla dragged a few bodies with them to leave a trail of blood for Kenneth to follow when he had gotten his strength back.
As they were running, a large shadow of a...winged lion soared over them, which prompted Beth to say "We... may have a situation here." The Chimera slammed into Talos, the gigantic automaton falling down the mountain, and being more and more destroyed every time he bounced off the rock surface, then the winged lion landed in front of them with Heracles on its back.
"Back... back! All of you!" He yelled at the three... well four now that Kenneth had caught up with them "Take one more step and I'll kill you all!"
"Heracles, the hell?" Beth asked "What have we done to you?"
"Nothing, but you are standing between me and the throne of the God of War."
"But... but you're already the god of Strength."
"So is Cratus!"
"Why are you yelling?" Eden asked, "We can hear you just fine."
"You are not going to stand between me and that throne room."
"And you are not standing between us and getting out of here to save our home, so I guess we are at a standoff."
Heracles stood up on the beast's back, then hopped off after slapping its neck. It roared and as he was in the air, it leapt behind the four. Now they were boxed in with a God on one side and a fearsome creature on the other.
"Now, stand down, and come with me to Athena," Heracles told them.
Mikayla pulled her blades off of her back and replied "Not a chance!" She ran at Heracles and he just batted her away with his mighty club.
"Mikayla!" Beth yelled, watching her friend slam into the Chimera's side "Oh, that is it!" Beth put her spear on her back and summoned an axe to her hand "Time to see what you can really do, Hercules."
"Do not call me that! No one ever gets to call me that!"
The two ran at each other and Beth kicked him in the groin to make him drop to his knees. He looked up and had to use his club to block a downward axe swing to his head. The two weapons clashed, but since Beth had the better leverage and position, she managed to bush the head of her axe into Heracles' shoulder. He grimaced and looked down at the open wound that let the golden ichor that ran through his veins trickle out. He snarled up at her and threw her axe back, then let out a yell which shook Olympus itself. Everyone tried to maintain their balance, but only Eden was able to by wrapping roots around her feet to keep herself standing. They all looked back at their opponents and the three Demigods got back up. Eden, Mikayla, and Kenneth turned to face the Chimera again while Beth faced Heracles again.
"You will not stop my ascension, not today."
"I do not care about your ascension, but we are getting out of here, right now," Beth retorted, then the two ran at each other.
Beth threw the axe and knocked Heracles' club out of his hand, then swung a hook punch across his jaw. While he was stunned from the strike, Beth grabbed him by the neck, and thrust a palm into his nose. This seemed to snap him out of his stunned state and he grabbed an arrow from his hip strapped quiver. He stabbed her in the kidney with the poisoned arrow and she grimaced from the pain. She looked down at the weapon lodged in her side and noticed that there was some kind of pale green liquid dripping from the wound. She broke the arrow's handle, then grabbed Heracles by the waist, spun around, and threw him toward the edge of Olympus. When he was about to fall off, he stabbed another poisoned arrow into the side of the mountain. Heracles swung himself back up and when Beth ran at him again, he struck her across the face with his club.she grunted as she was struck and tumbled to the ground. After a moment of being dazed, Beth shook her head, and got back up to face her opponent again.
"You've ruined everything for me!" Heracles yelled "I've worked so hard to gain my throne! Ares no longer deserves his."
"Neither does my mother and look where that got her." Beth hook punched him across the jaw again, then grabbed him by the waist, and began to try and crush him to death.
He growled as his ribs began to crack, then he grabbed her head, and began to squeeze. Beth yelled as she felt her skull slowly begin to crack and concave in on itself. She let go of him and swung a punch up at his jaw, but he grabbed her wrist, and threw it away. At this moment, Beth slammed her shoulder into Heracles' sternum. He let her go and Beth swung her elbow into Heracles' temple, which knocked him down. He scrambled backwards up to his feet, then she slammed her shoulder into his chest again. Heracles stumbled back and she ran toward him again. Heracles took his bow off of his back as his club had been lost and struck Beth. She stumbled backwards and saw him fit another arrow into his body, so she used the shoulder strike again. He was pushed back by the attack, but was unharmed and took aim as she ran at him again. When he loosed his arrow, Beth jumped, spun horizontally in the air, and swung a roundhouse kick into his neck. She landed and when Heracles got back up to his hands and knees, she instep kicked him in the ribs. He staggered backwards and Beth kicked the bow out of his hand, leaving him almost completely unarmed.
"How about we see what you can do without your weapons."
"I am still the God of Strength, girl. Don't ever forget that."
She hook punched him across the face, then swung an uppercut up at his chest. Heracles blocked the strike and punched her in the jaw with the same hand, then roundhouse kicked her in the ribs. Beth palm struck him in the nose, grabbed him by the back of his head, and pulled his head down into a knee strike. She let him go and heel kicked him in the stomach. As he staggered back, Beth linked her fingers, and leapt toward Heracles. He looked up at her and grabbed her by the throat. He pushed her back, stepped forward, and uppercut her in he floating rib. She fell backwards and took in a couple deep breaths, the punch having knocked the wind out of her. She rolled back up to her hands and knees and looked up at the arrogant God, then rolled over her shoulder, and slammed both feet against his chest. He stumbled back and she leapt up, delivering two powerful hammer strikes to his head. When she landed, Beth spun around and landed another devastating hook punch across his jaw. Heracles stumbled backwards and Beth spun around again, then leapt up, and swung a roundhouse kick at his neck. He managed to grab her leg and when she landed on one foot, he side kicked her back. She hobbled backwards and just barely managed to keep her balance as she put her foot back down, then he swung a powerful punch into her eye.
"Oh, I have had enough of you." She grabbed him by the shoulders and pushed him back "Just..." She hook punched him in the jaw "Go!" She roundhouse kicked him in the temple "Down!" She grabbed him by the side of his head and swung a hammer fist into his other temple.
She leapt up into the air and took her spear off of her back again, ready to end it. He looked up and grabbed her spear and neck, then pushed her backwards. She fell onto her back and rolled backwards to quickly get back up to her feet. She leapt up into the air again and stabbed Heracles in the shoulder, then she landed, turned, and slung him over her shoulder. She slammed his face down onto the ground and ripped his spear's tip out of him. He began to slowly crawl away, but Beth decided to add more pain.
"Nah, we are not done." She picked him up by the back of the neck and turned him around "You have been a pain in my ass." She slammed him down onto the ground and put her knee on his chest to hold him down. "Now I will make sure you know never to mess with us again."
She hook punched him in the jaw, then punched him in the nose, and hammerfisted him in the eye twice. She hook punched him in each temple, then hook punched him in the throat. She swung a punch into the side of his head, then another two into his eyes.
She was about to continue, but Eden grabbed her wrist when she pulled her first back up and said "Hey, Beth. I think you got him."
"You want what he is having?" She asked, nothing having registered that it was Eden holding her back.
"No."
"Then let go."
"We have to go. Chimera is dead and Heracles is out cold. We can leave." Beth looked up and saw Eden standing behind her "It is okay, we can go." She nodded and got up off of Heracles, her arms and hands covered in gold and red blood, then they left the mountain before anyone could stop them.
