Boar Battle

A few years later, Nate burst into Beth's cabin, which enraged her in the moment before he asked "Hey, have you been at the barrier recently?"
"Ugh, no. why?" She asked while sitting up.
"Okay, firstly, put some damn clothes on. Second, it's cracking and... something is trying to get through."
Beth scrambled out of bed and Nate looked away as she got dressed in a black tank top and jean shorts, then they rushed to the barrier. A group of people were also at the point where the cracks had originated and they heard the impact of something big slamming itself against the barrier. Nate couldn't tell what it was, but it didn't seem like a normal animal. Sure, most animals would attack something until it succumbed to their assault, but this felt different.
"Wait, hold on..." Nate looked over at Beth "How long has it been since Athena's threat?" Beth looked up at the sky and thought about it, then looked over at Nate.
"Shit."
"Shit."
"Shit."
At that moment, a humongous bore shattered the barrier and ran into the camp. It took most people a moment to digest what had happened, then everyone turned, and ran. Nate and Beth were no exception as both were confident in their combat abilities, but they also both knew when it wouldn't be a good idea to stand their ground. The boar picked up the pace as it got closer to the group and impaled two people on its unusually long tusks. The poor girl flew into the river as it bucked her off and bled out while drowning as well. Someone fell and it trampled him to death, crushing his spine and head as it did so. Everyone began running in different directions, just hoping the boar would not come their way. It ran directly at Beth and when she noticed this, she dove to the side. As she rolled, she could hear a scream as someone was impaled again.
"Yeah, your mom's pissed," Mikayla said as she slid next to Beth "You need to give her the answer she wants."
"Alright, alright. I will."
"My brothers in the camp!" Roman yelled as he threw weapons to others "This is our home! If we're beaten now then the rest are as good as dead! So look alive, that is what we're fighting!" A bunch of Demigods, male and female, rallied behind him "We've got minimal backup, so I wouldn't count on any outside support here." Everyone drew their swords, and prepared to do battle with the boar, then charged at the gigantic animal as Roman yelled "Prove you've got the will to survive this battle!"
They all charged in to protect their home, knowing all the lives in the camp were counting on them and their allies. This was just a single boar to take down and then this nightmare would surely be over. Even more Demigods grabbed swords, axes, and any other weapon as they made sure as few people died as possible. Nate and Beth grabbed their weapons and looked at each other, knowing that defeat would not be allowed here. Nate called Gulltoppr to him and they raced toward the boar.
"Alright, guys. We're here, what do we need to do!" Beth turned around to see Hayden, Eden, Marc, and Mikayla.
"It does not matter what you do to make this happen, just make sure as many people survive this day as possible. Eden, I would suggest you and Eir search for anyone you can help on the spot. Marc, you and Hayden go try to find a weak spot, and Mikayla... you do the same as the boys." They nodded and charged off in separate locations.
The boar jumped at two people, but Gulltoppr ran into it, and slammed his horned head against its side. The two giant animals tumbled to the ground and Nate landed on his feet. The boar had been about to kill two Demigods and Nate pointed to get to a safe distance as they had bows. They nodded and scrambled to their feet before running away.
Beth watched as Gulltoppr struggled to hold the boar down and rushed to help her furry companion. She grabbed a bow and fired several arrows into its back, which seemed to get its attention. It ripped its head away from Gulltoppr and kicked him in the throat with its hind legs. The Asgardian Horned Lion yelped and fell on his side after the kick. Beth noticed Kenneth creeping up behind the massive pig and they nodded to each other. Beth continued to back up while shooting arrows at the boar, its slow, menacing movements toward her giving Kenneth a good opening. Just as she ran out of arrows and it was about to charge, Kenneth stabbed it in the side with the spear he was holding. It shattered and it turned back to Kenneth, trying to spear him with the tusks.
"Alright, keep distance in mind!" Kenneth yelled as he jumped back just in the nick of time.
"And stay in its blindspot!" Beth yelled, neither of them noticing Nate charging at it with a sword in each hand.
It charged at Beth, who rolled out of the way and when it jumped at her again, Nate saw his opening. He slid on his knees underneath it and the two blades managed to break the skin. He turned on his knees as he continued to slide in the mud and backrolled to stop himself. It landed on its stomach and Nate watched as it took a second before it took off after another group of people again.
Now that Eir, Freya, and Orpheus were down in the field, everyone was fighting the boar. Eden watched as it attacked more people and got an idea from vines hanging down from a tree. She ran at it and launched herself onto the boar's back. She grabbed it and created a bunch of vines to try and hold it in place. She wrapped them around its legs and neck, not tight enough to suffocate, but definitely strong enough to keep it held down... until it wasn't. It roared and broke out of the vines and before Eden could make even more, it bucked her off. Eden went flying away and slammed against a cabin, knocking her out upon impact. It looked down at her and roared, then charged at her once again.
Just as it was about to skewer her, Orpheus jumped in, and grabbed its tusks, keeping it bay "Why are you here?" He asked the animal, in no way expecting a reply, but what he did get was a flash of fire from the creature's eyes, but it did minimal damage thanks to his invincibility "Oh, so you've been imbued with some of Cerebus' power. Well then."
Mikayla saw Orpheus struggling to hold the boar back so she grabbed some chain. She wrapped them around her wrists and swung them at the giant pig. Orpheus saw the chains coming at them and he pushed the boar backwards. The chains wrapped around its tusks, but this didn't have the effect Mikayla had hoped for. It began to run and dragged Mikayla across the ground. She was thrown through several fences and the back of her shirt was ground into nothing. She felt like both of her arms were about to be ripped away from her body as it dragged her all around while people continued to try and kill it. It swung her around and knocked everyone around it unconscious, then threw her against a brick wall.
She passed out when she hit the ground and Beth ran out with an axe in hand as that was the only weapon they had that was not broken. As she ran at the boar, it slammed its tusk against her arm, which knocked the weapon out of her hand. She fell to her knees and it bit her arm whole running toward the forest. It threw her through the trees and down on the ground above the river. It came at her again and they tumbled down into the shallow part of the river.
"Well then, time to finish this," Beth said as she got back up.
It stabbed her in the arm with the tusks, but she just grabbed it by the nose, and threw it off of her. It came at her again after a moment and she tried to punch it, only for it to slam into her. She fell back into a tree and scrambled back to her feet. It ran at her and tried to impale her, but she rolled out of the way. She looked at the axe she had dropped and ran over to it while it tore itself out of the tree.
"Enough of this," Beth snarled while swinging the mud off of the axe's blade.
She waited until the boar came to her, then swung the axe across its face three times. She didn't do much damage, but did manage to cut the tusks off. This was quickly remedied as they regrew within seconds, even longer than they originally had been. It appeared that in addition to being given the fire eyes of Cerberus, it was also given the regeneration of the Hydra.
"Well, this is clearly meant to be her ultimate weapon," She groaned as her legs gave out and she collapsed to her knees "Two hundred bones to break. Two giant tusks to take. Now that I am finishing this, my pain will be over." She swung the blade through its neck, but this time it didn't regenerate, so she figured out it was just for the tusks "Boar, make no mistake, you are going to die here in this river. You have hurt at least half of my friends, so your escape is the last thing I am going to allow."
It jumped up into the air and she barely had time to react before Gulltoppr knocked her away. The boar landed on Gulltoppr's armored back and he just bucked it off before running back to Nate. Beth panted for breath as she got back up and she threw the axe at its head, but it just knocked it away. Beth dove and caught the weapon, then ran at it and when she came about two feet from it she launched herself off the ground and brought the ax above her head. She swung it down and cried out as the blade sliced through flesh, muscle, and bone, chopping the boar's head clean off. The boar had also managed to get its tusk embedded into Beth's leg before she chopped off its head. Beth gritted her teeth and chopped down severing the tusk from the decapitated boar head. She tossed the ax aside and grabbed the tusk pulling it clean out from her leg.
She cried out and tossed it aside, screaming to the sky, "Coward! I defeated your strongest warrior, your challenges, and now your God damn boar! If you want a real damn fight, come and face me yourself! You are a fucking weak excuse for a Goddess!" Beth stood up holding her leg and started to trudge back to camp, but suddenly collapsed, and fell unconscious.
Nate was helping Hayden pick up the debris of the fallen cabins, they were also looking for Beth as they hadn't found her. Eden had woken up and aside from a lot of blood loss and one or two concussions, she felt fine. She tried to get back up, but the pain from her battle with the boar kept her down.
They were just about to call Orpheus to officially declare her missing once again when Kenneth yelled out, "There!"
Nate turned and through the smoke and dust, using a Bifrost explosion to make a small hole in the smoke. He ran through it along with Hayden and Kenneth and they knelt down to her. Unlike the last time they had been gathered like this, the three all clearly had an unspoken agreement between them. Nate whistled and slapped his leg to get Gulltoppr back to them and they put her on his back. Nate hopped up onto Gulltoppr and helped Hayden do the same as he had never ridden him before. Kenneth walked next to them and they passed the town being put back together. Not much had been destroyed so it was just a matter of putting things back where they belonged and taking care of the blood, injured, and dead.
