Infiltrating the Facility

When they woke up, they put their plan into action... after hiding Gulltoppr. They decided to have him dive into the water and hold his breath for as long as possible. Luckily, he could hold his breath for at the most, sixteen hours straight, so they wouldn't need to worry about him drowning. The only thing they needed to stop from happening is him playing with the cruise ships.
"Now... let us get this going. Eden? Phase one." Eden nodded to Beth and got down on one knee.
She put her palm to the ground and closed her eyes as she let out a long sigh. She could feel the roots and vegetation under the ground and around the facility. She couldn't find the exact dimensions, but she could tell it was massive. The place ran deep into the ground and stretched longer than the dock itself. Whatever they were containing, it must have been huge, or they had that many divine treasures and relics. She looked around at the top for an opening and when she found it, she opened her eyes.
"Alright, we need to head over there, next to the third dock over there." They ran over and Eden stepped onto the grass again "Okay... Mikayla? Mind taking a big step back?" She nodded and took a step back "Okay, you are standing right above an entry hatch. However, there are two guards stationed right below it."
"So what you're saying is, I get to crack some skulls?" She asked while cracking her knuckles with a grin.
"Yes, you get to crack some skulls," Eden sighed "Ready?"
Mikayla smiled and rolled her neck to get it loosened up, then she prepared her assault. She summoned two swords made of light and cut a circle out of the ground directly beneath her. She fell down right behind the two guards, and they naturally told her to freeze while holding her at gunpoint. Mikayla smiled and made the swords disappear before taking her chained daggers off of her hips. She swung the left dagger at the first guard's gun and chopped it in half, rendering it almost useless. Before she finished him off, she turned to the other guard. She stabbed her daggers into the barrel of the silenced weapon. The weapon blew up and Mikayla turned to the first guard. She stabbed him in the collar bone, then wrapped her chain around his neck. Before he could react, she superheated the chain, and yanked it down, decapitating the guard in an instant. Mikayla ripped the serrated weapon out of the guard, then turned to the next, and stabbed him in the chest. He yelled out in pain, but luckily, it seemed the place was soundproofed. She pulled him in and stabbed him in the liver and left lung. She tore her weapons out of his body and whistled to her friends.
"Alright, they're finished!" Kenneth jumped down the hole and stared at the dead bodies "What?"
"I did not think you would do this," He explained.
"I did say I'd kill them, plus they're doing who knows what to who know how many different living things."
"Okay, yeah, I guess that makes sense," Beth groaned as she kicked one of the bodies out of the way of the door. "Time for step three... finding our way through this place."
Kenneth and Beth began to run down one way while the other three spread out. This was clearly some kind of containment facility, but it wasn't just for the divine. It was for anything that bled out from the Mythological Worlds into the Mortal Plane. As Mikayla walked along, she found a Dark Elf contained in a pitch black room. The only way she could tell what it was was because of the plaque above the door. She looked through the window to try and see it, but she couldn't see any movement. It was either asleep or just as black as the room it was being kept in.
"Uh... alright, I guess I'll keep-" She walked through a door and was instantly sprayed with some kind of disinfectant "Moving... oh, wow! That is strong!" She started coughing into her elbow and pushed the door in front of her open to find a bunch of guards "Hey... guys. Don't mind me, just the new janitor. Place is big, not exactly sure where everything is." They all kept an eye on her, but luckily, no blood had gotten on her, so she managed to get past them without the guards seeing her weapons.
Nate walked into a hallway that was guarded... by someone conveniently his height. He grabbed him and silently snapped his neck, then shoved him in a closet, and put his armor on. He put the armored helmet on and walked out into the hallway. What he saw surprised him, a guard posted outside every door. There were about ten on each side and judging from the spacing, the rooms weren't exactly large. The amount of containment units were more than Nate had expected, even for just a single hallway. Eden had said this place was massive, but this was more than he had expected. The guards seemed completely indifferent to his presence, which made sense seeing as how he looked just like one of them. He silently marched past them without looking at anyone, but mentally took note of every name in the cell hall, just in case.
Eden had found a locker room with several people's outfits, but assuming her friends had gone with security guard outfits, she decided to go for a different look. She took a bag and put her current clothes in it, then took what she assumed to be a scientist or lab assistants outfit with a white button up shirt, clear leggings, and a black skirt that fell down to her knees. She kept her regular shoes on because if any problems arose, she wouldn't be able to run in high heels. She took a pair of glasses that fit on her face and used her thumbs to pop out the lenses and put them on. She put her hair into a neat bun and grabbed a clipboard.
"Okay... rune stone and world tree seed," She mumbled to herself as she left the locker room.
Kenneth and Beth were still sneaking around, but had come across an armory, so they geared up. They figured the weapons they had would likely be enough in hand to hand combat, but they would need fire arms for the longer range as Beth only had one spear to throw, and she was better with close quarters spear combat either way. The two had had to deal with one or two guards, but nothing that even gave them any remote trouble. The issue was finding their way through the place. It was like a maze in the place and since he didn't know the layout, Kenneth didn't want to run through in fear of getting himself lost. This didn't make much sense to Beth as even if he got lost, he could just super speed back to her, but she didn't feel like questioning his judgment. As they snuck through, they found their way from the underground to the portion that was in the water. They found a circular window... and found Gulltoppr just swimming along in the water. He saw them and looked in at them while letting out a strange sound... but it seemed to be a happy noise. Beth smiled and waved back at him and Kenneth poked the glass a few times to ensure they were able to see him. He swam away and went back to whatever it had been that he was doing. They knew they were close to the boats, but they needed to be smart about whatever they took.
Mikayla kept looking around, having found a janitor's bucket and mop to have with her to keep up her facade. She had found cells with living things, but she was looking for a storage area for inanimate items. One door was unguarded so she opened it... and found a gigantic dismembered head. It was floating around its cell, its tangly raven hair floating behind it and its eyes glowed as if engulfed by flames. It turned to her and they stared at each other for a split second. It let out an ear piercing shriek and flew toward her, leaving her only a half second to react. Fortunately, Mikayla used that half second well and slammed the door as hard as she could.
A guard rushed over and Mikayla yelled "What in the fuck was that!?"
"That? Oh, we haven't put it in its containment cell yet. They tend to be very volatile, so the containment team takes a few days to get the preparations ready."
"Interesting, very fascinating," Mikayla groaned as she got back up "What was that thing!?"
"Oh, uh right. It's called a Kanontsistóntie," He explained "Native American."
"Kanontisito... yeah, I'm not calling it that. Any other name?"
"Flying head."
"Yep, that sounds about right."
"You alright? I get the feeling you weren't looking for one of these," He asked.
"Yeah, again, I'm a new janitor around here," Mikayla lied again, sticking with her story "I'm supposed to be cleaning the Nine Realms artifacts? I'm not sure where that is."
"Oh, you're on the wrong floor. As you can probably tell, this is Native American. The Norse floor is two down. Yeah, the orientation here is really shotty, I couldn't find my floor for literally three days, I was on the Aztec floor."
"Huh, yeah, this place is a God damn maze," Mikayla groaned "So, where's the elevator?"
"Oh! So, you actually probably passed it coming down this way. Turn back, take a left, should be two doors down. It's to the right, next to the Skin Walkers. Don't get too close to them." She nodded and walked off.
Nate was getting frustrated at this point as all he seemed to find were Japanese creatures. He didn't know what floor he was on, but it would've been nice if there was a map or something around. He continued walking... and walking... and walking. He could barely even pronounce a lot of the creatures' names, but he needed something to keep himself entertained. Sure, he could just use Bifrost to blow this place up until he found what he was looking for, but that would endanger his friends by getting them buried under who knows how many tons of several different types of materials. After what felt like an eternity of seemingly walking in circles, he finally found some kind of map next to the cell of Gozu Oni.
"Ugh, finally!" He walked over and stared at it for a minute "Okay, so, if I'm on the Japan floor apparently, then the Norse floor seems to be- shut up!" He slammed his covered Bifrost fist on the wall when an Oni let out a loud screech "Anyway... ah! One floor up. Got it... now where's an elevator." He trailed his finger along the page and saw that he was... on the other side of the floor from the elevator "Ugh... great. Fine, time to go for a walk, I guess."
Eden was luckily already on the Norse floor and was making her way down the hallways. She trailed her fingers lazily over the doors, windows, and walls as she looked for a storage unit. She finally found it and used a key card she had stolen off a guard to open the door. As she began to scrounge around for what they needed, she heard someone else enter the room. While she rathered to not resort to violence, she didn't see any other way out. She looked down and spotted a spear, so she grabbed it, and pointed it at the newcomer.
"Woah! Hey, eden! It's just me!" Mikayla exclaimed while putting her hands up "How long have you been in here?"
"Oh, Mikayla, I am so sorry." Eden put the spear down on the table and grabbed it from "Not long really, I just got here."
"Well, why don't I help you look... damn, this place doesn't believe in lights or something?" Mikayla said as she looked around for a light switch.
"Seriously, I can not see a thing and- Mikayla, please do not touch anything." Eden didn't even have to look up from what she was doing to tell her this.
"What!? Why would I touch anything?" Mikayla retorted in mock horror, only receiving side eye from Eden "Alright! Alright, man, you know how to take the fun out of things."
"I know how to keep you from making this harder than it needs to be," Eden replied "Keep looking, maybe use a spell for some light." Mikayla obliged and lit a spark in her hand while searching for a seed.
It couldn't have been hard to find a seed of a tree that gave life to an entire world, could it? From their studies and the tests she remembered, not many, but she still did, she could remember it seemed to be the size of an ostrich egg and pulsed with magic even older than the Bifrost. As for an entry stone, they needed to find one with a Midgard rune on it which shouldn't be too difficult. As she groped her way along, Mikayla's hand accidentally pushed a button down which enveloped the entire facility in bright fluorescent lights.
Just as the lights turned on, Eden exclaimed "I found them... what was that button?" They both looked at it... and it was one of the worst buttons they could've found "Oh, no." The two looked at each other... panicked.
