Beth woke up and found a note on the floor of her cabin once again, so she picked it up, thinking it was from Nate again, but it wasn't. When she read it, she was confused, but also scared as it was clearly from Dreama. It was a thinly veiled threat and she could tell that they weren't messing around. She didn't know how to respond so she just put it in the chest in her room. She figured if she walked out and acted like nothing was wrong, they may just leave her alone. She put her combat boots on and a sweater over her tank top, then opened her door. Before she could take in how early it was, red orange dust fell down on her from above.  She coughed and fell against the doorway as she tried to wipe it out of her eyes. She looked up at the camp and saw everything was set ablaze. She walked down the steps to her cabin and looked around, horrified as to what was going on. She walked through the camp slowly, seeing corpses and skeletons all over the place. She walked around and heard the screams of her friends, but it was strangely dead. No one was around, or if they were, they were already disfigured corpses. She looked up at her own cabin and saw Mikayla impaled through the flagpole.
"What... what is going on?" She asked herself while walking through the carnage.
Blizzard ran past her, the deer's distressed and panicked calls hurting every part of Beth's being. As she kept walking, she could feel something sneaking up behind her. She looked back but didn't see anything or anyone. She would've expected to see a raven or any other animal, but there was absolutely nothing. She kept walking and came across Nate's cabin. She looked into the burned door and found his skeleton inside on the bed. She walked toward him and looked down into the... still glowing eyes? It didn't make any sense to her that his eyes were still glowing, but it didn't matter. She got out of his cabin instantly and... the skeleton seemed to shift in the bed. She barely even noticed the sound of the bones rattling as she walked outside again.
"Am... am I the only one left?" She asked, while still feeling something constantly creeping up behind her.
"No... you are not." She tried to identify the voice for a moment, then felt the wind of a swing come at her head, so she ducked under the attack, and saw Estevan glaring at her with a small knife in his hand "Just you and me now."
She ducked under a punch to the nose and jab punched him in the stomach, which made Estevan stumble back. He growled and stabbed the knife into her shoulder, then grabbed her other arm with his free hand. He pushed her back against Nate's house and against the torch on his wall. She yelled out in pain as the flames burned through her shirts and skin and revealed her flesh. He threw her off of the torch and let her fall to the glassy dirt ground.
"Thought you would be stronger if we were all alone," Estevan told her as he walked down the steps toward her "Oh, well."
Beth groaned as she got back up, then she used her forearm to block a hammer fist to her temple. She palm struck Estevan's arm and grabbed his wrist, then swung the arm down. She pushed him back and punched at his nose, but he stepped away, and punched at his nose. Estevan stepped back and slapped her fist down, then slipped the knife into a reverse grip, and swung at her head. She grabbed his wrist and swung his arm down to avoid being stabbed. Estevan swung his other fist up and tried to hook punch her neck, but she ducked underneath the attack again. He looked down at her and side kicked her in the stomach, which knocked her down to her knees.
"Wow, I expected this to be a challenge, but you are nothing but a fraud, now are you not?" Estevan taunted as she held her stomach.
Beth coughed and gasped for air and used Nate's burning cabin to pull herself back up. When she got up, Beth grabbed him by the shoulders, and slammed her knee into his ribs. He grunted and stepped back, then batted her hands off of him. He swung a hook punch at her head again, but she weaved underneath it again. Beth got back up and punched Estevan twice in the sternum. Estevan grunted and dusted himself off, then punched at her neck. Beth slapped her attack down, then wrapped his next punch under her armpit. She elbowed the inside of his elbow and pushed his arm away, then wrapped an arm around his neck. He struggled against her, then she threw him down to the ground against another cabin.
"How is that? Am I more of the challenge you had hoped for, now?" She asked while Estevan pushed himself back up to his feet.
"This is a bit better," He admitted "But still nothing in comparison to what I had been expecting." He stood back up and cracked his neck, then ran toward her again.
She ran at him as well and Estevan jumped, thrusting both feet into her chest at the same time. Beth stumbled backwards and fell over a log, nearly falling head first into another fire. She rolled backwards and fell on her stomach, then groaned while pushing herself back up to her feet. He stepped toward her and Beth punched at his neck, but he just pushed her arm down. She punched at his chest, but he used his other hand to slap her arm away. He spun around and got closer to her as he swung an elbow at her temple. Beth leaned back to avoid the strike, then swung her elbow into Estevan's neck. He bent down and grabbed a jagged twig off the ground, then tried to stab her with it. Beth managed to grab Estevan's wrist, then twisted it quickly to get the weapon out of his hand. She pulled Estevan toward her and headbutted him in the nose, which made him stumble back.
"I am really getting tired of this," Beth told him "Can we finish this once everything is back to normal around here?"
"This is going to be normal for you from now on," He told her.
He stepped forward and punched at her nose, but she blocked with the back of her hand. She pulled her hand back in a fist, then hammer fisted at his side. Estevan used a hammer fist of his own to block the attack, then she punched him in the chest. She used the momentum of the attack to spin around and then she swung an elbow at his head. He grabbed her wrist and kneed her in the elbow, which nearly broke it. He swung her around and slammed her head down against the stump she had fallen over. At this point she was struggling to get up and breathing heavily, so he taunted her as she got back up.
He crouched down to her and whispered "Come on. Get up, I believe in you. Get up, you are almost there." She grabbed the stump and began to pull herself back up to her feet "Yeah, there she is. Oh yeah, oh yeah. That is what I expected from you." he got back up, spun around, and hook kicked her in the jaw, which knocked her back down onto the stump again "You just never learn when you are beaten." She pushed herself back up to him and reached out for him "Oh, is something the matter? Did I hit you so hard that I blinded you?" He asked as he stood there, waiting for her, then she grabbed him "Oh, alright. Fine, I will humor you."
"See...? That right there?" He cocked his head to the side as she stood up straight and looked into his eyes "That arrogance will always be your downfall." She kneed him in the groin, then pulled him into her forehead three times, finally knocking him out.
Beth dropped him to the ground and looked down on him as he laid there unconscious. She took a breath, then sat down on the log, read to just fall back asleep. She wondered if this was just a nightmare and looked around at the carnage that was ensuing all around her. When she was about to drift off, she heard footsteps coming toward her. She looked up and saw several of the Athenian Warriors walking toward her. The closer they came, the more of them there seemed to be. It was like they were all coming after her at the exact same time. Someone walked up on the closest cabin and Beth looked up to see Dreama.
"Well, well, well. Look who it is." Beth looked down at Estevan and grabbed a knife out of his pocket, then grabbed the branch off the ground "You know, if you wanted to leave the Athenian Warriors, you could have just jumped in that lake over there. Instead look at what you forced me to do to our beautiful home."
"Wait, you did this?"
"That is correct."
"But... but, why!?"
"That will not concern you, what should be is the choice I give you now." Beth glared up at her "You can either fight and suffer a long capture, or come with us right now and avoid needless pain."
"You know what? I would think about that offer, but you have killed at least two of my friends," Beth retorted, not even looking at the rest of the Athenian Warriors "So I do not care how many of you there are. I will fight through all of you, and then you will meet your fate."
Dreama glared down at her for a moment, then sighed, and replied "If that is what you desire, then we shall grant it." She pointed her spear at Beth "Get her."
They ran at her and Beth heel kicked the first one in the chest, which knocked him backwards. He was heavy so he knocked over two others, but that still left over thirty for her to knock out or kill. She used her forearms to block a bow staff strike, then stabbed the warrior in the throat. Beth ripped the twig out of his neck, then she side thrust kicked another Warrior to the ground. She stabbed the next one in the leg with the twig, then slashed her side with the knife. She let go of the twig and grabbed another Warrior by the back of the head, then slammed him down against the stump. Beth used a rising block to block a club swinging down at her head, then stabbed the Warrior in the neck. She twisted the knife and threw the Warrior away, then turned, and used the stick to block two swings from a bat. She swiftly stabbed the Warrior in the heart, then pulled the knife out, and let him slump to the ground. Beth wasted no time with the next Warrior and threw him over her shoulder. She looked back and took a mace to the face.
"Aurgh! How many of you are there?" Beth exclaimed as she stumbled back.
She regained her balance, then jumped back, and heel kicked the next Warrior in the chest. He fell back and Beth grabbed another Warrior's arm as she swung down at her. She grabbed another stick, broke it over her knee, and stabbed the Warrior through the neck. She swung around and threw her to the ground, then faced the next. She ducked under a hook punch, then stabbed the warrior through the temples. She kicked the dead warrior away, but then she was sliced in the leg by another.
"Augh! Damn you!" She yelled as she punched the Athenian Warrior in the nose, which knocked him out "Pussy ass bitch." Another Warrior tried to run away, but Beth turned her around, and stabbed her through the heart with the stick, then threw her lifeless corpse into a fire, and yelled "Come on!!!"
Another Warrior punched her across the jaw, then she blocked a knife stab. She pushed the Warrior away and then was roundhouse kicked in the temple. Beth fell backwards and another Warrior kicked her in the back. She stumbled forward and then she was punched in the chest again. She stumbled back and had her legs swept out from underneath her and she fell back against the stump again. At this point she could barely do anything, so she just curled up in a ball to protect her vital areas. Dozens of the Warriors came toward her and beat her until she passed out, then they dragged her away through the forest.

In The Morning

Nate woke up and yawned while stretching, as usual he had not gotten a very good night's sleep... but this time felt even worse. He sat up and cracked his neck to loosen up, then noticed that his door was open. It was strange because he had never left the door open... and he knew that he had closed his door. It wasn't blown open by the wind as that was physically impossible. He got out of bed and looked around his doorway. Nothing else in his house had been damaged, which he highly appreciated, but this just left him even more confused. If nothing was broken or stolen, then why did someone come into his house?
He was about to walk down his steps when he noticed that they were broken, so he asked himself "Okay, what the Hel is going on?" He hopped down the steps and looked at his house, finding a knife stabbed into one of its walls, and a small dent in the other side "Okay seriously, this is getting stupid."
He walked around camp and saw that pretty much everyone was almost as confused as he was. He could see people scratching their heads and trying to figure out why there were over a dozen bodies on the ground. Most were dead, stabbed to death, but others were just knocked unconscious.
He walked up to Mikayla and asked "Hey, do you know what's going on?"
"Uh, nothing right now. Looks like we missed a lot, though."
"Yeah, I got that smartass. I mean like, do you know what happened."
"No, how the hell should I know what happened? I was asleep all night. You're the one who can barely sleep at night, I'm surprised you didn't wake up."
"It's not that I can't sleep, I sleep very deeply unlike your dumbass. So what do you think happened?"
"Well judging by all the Athenian Warriors and Estevan on the ground, an animal went nuts or something," She replied "I mean those poor schmucks have stab wounds all over the place, and look at all the blood."
"Were that to be true, wouldn't there be way more damage than just my house and that fire pit?" Nate pointed out.
"Hm, I guess that's a good point," She replied "But that's the only explanation I can think of."
"Hm... maybe-"
"Guys!" They looked back and saw Eden and Kenneth running up to them "Have you guys heard or seen Beth?"
"I literally just woke up."
"I'm just trying to figure out what's going on."
"Well, apparently no one's seen her since last night. We did find this weird dust all over her stairs and doorway, though."
"Wait, wait... she just left her house at night after taking some kinda drugs or something?" Mikayla asked.
"That... I suppose that is how it looks," Kenneth replied "However, I doubt she would do any form of drugs. Like Nate, one of her main drives in life is to become the best warrior she can, and drugs and other substances could damage and slow her body down. I am willing to bet something else happened."
"I think she got kidnapped," Nate finally said after a long bit of thought, and this caused the group to look at him "What? She comes out in the middle of the night, Estevan is knocked out, a bunch of these assholes are dead, and she's nowhere to be seen. What are the chances that she wasn't kidnapped?"
"Well then, if she was kidnapped? Where would she have been taken, and by whom?" Kenneth asked.
"God, you two are just stupid," Eden groaned. "There are a bunch of Athenian Warriors dead on the ground. They probably did this, and she most likely fought off as many as she could."
"Hm... that's true," Mikayla said while putting a hand to her chin "Hey, Nate you're friends with that one Valkyrie healer chick, right?"
"Friends with her? No, she's just kind of my therapist," Nate replied.
"Yeah, good enough. Would you mind asking her if she could fly around the camp to see if they took her anywhere?"
"Yeah, that would probably be a good idea." Nate called Gulltoppr again and they rode off to the Medical Cabins.
"Alright, Kenneth. I think you should do the same. With your speed you should be able to check anywhere you can think og for her."
"Yeah, alright. I will be right back." He turned and disappeared in a gust of wind.
"So, what should we do?" Mikayla asked.
"Probably help clean this place up." Mikayla sighed and nodded, so they walked off to see what damage they could help fix.
