As Helios saw the Demigods coming, he figured something was about to go down. He decided to guide the sun down because he figured that a fight in broad daylight would be boring. As he decided to add some drama, even more arose without him having anything to do with it. As the Demigods looked around, Kenneth found the one person he hated more than Athena. The two glared at each other for a few seconds, Nike's piecing brown eyes clearly visible in the dimming light. The Goddess winked at him, then ran down the city of Olympus. Kenneth followed her and they stopped in the middle of an abandoned alley.
"It was you..." Kenneth growled "You were the one in my house that night." Nike nodded with a smug smile "You killed my mother! Why... why!? You could have left us alone! You could have had anything you could have wanted!"
Nike looked around, scoffed, and told Kenneth "That is exactly what I have now."
Kenneth snarled as his nostrils flared, then he retorted a simple and sinister "Not for long." He cracked his neck and Nike began to run away again.
Kenneth chased after her in a rage and engaged in another violent game of tag. They ran through Olympus, over and around buildings. They ran up the highest peak to the throne room, then dropped back down to the flat courtyard in front of the stairs to the thrones. As the other Demigods rushed to face Athena as well, the two speedy deities dashed throughout the courtyard. They ran around and through the pillars in front of them. To Nike, this was just a game, but to Kenneth, this was purely for revenge. He barely even cared about Athena anymore, sure he would help if he was needed, but Nike was his only target. The group was about to run up the stairs when Nate stopped and looked around.
"Get back!" He yelled, but by the time any of them could react, Nike and Kenneth had knocked them all down to the floor "Come on!" He told them as they all got back up to their feet "We have to get Beth up there!"
"What? You do not plan on coming with me?"
"Oh, to Hel with that!" Nate exclaimed as they came to the bottom of the stairs "We've got our own shit... to deal with." Cratus landed in front of them with his massive sword over his shoulder.
"You," He snarled as he swung his sword down and slammed it onto the stairs.
"Beth, we'll take care of him," Marc told her as he took his mace off his hip "Get up there."
She nodded and began to run up the stairs, only for Zelus, still bandaged from his battle with Nate, landed in front of her and asked "Now where do you think you are going?" Beth unsheathed Gungnir and Hofund and held them out to him "Oh, no, brother. She has some Aesir treasures. What are we going to do?" The mocking statement was followed by some chuckles and the five began to battle.
"Beth, let us handle these grunts," Nate told her as he ducked under a swing from Cratus.
"Yeah, you go get Athena!" Marc agreed as he blocked a swing, to which she nodded, and began running up the stairs to the throne room.
Athena sighed, turned to Orthus and told him "Get the meat." She turned and was about to sit down on Zeus' throne when she heard a sword cleave through flesh and the pained cries of two dogs "What?" She looked down and saw that Beth had wasted no time and skewered Orthus on Hofund "Destroy her." Several Athenian Warriors ran down the stairs.
Beth watched as about a dozen of her past allies rushed toward her, but she cared very little. She jumped at the first one and cut him in half as smoothly as a hot knife slicing into butter. The next Warrior rushed her and she simply impaled him through the throat with Gungnir.
She tossed him off the side of the staircase and pointed Gungnir at her next target before saying "Eldsprengja." A burst of flames shot out of the tip and completely incinerated the warrior.
She continued running up the stairs, spun, and cut both of another Athenian Warrior's legs off, letting him tumble down the stairs. She took another step and used the flat side of Hofund to slap him away. She turned the blade again and slit another Athenian Warrior's throat.
"Finally," Aiden grumbled as he aimed a rocket launcher down at Beth "Round two, you little bitch." It took a moment to lock onto her as she was constantly moving around, but he finally managed to shoot a rocket at her.
She looked up and dove away from the rocket, then dodged a few more, and jumped at Aiden. He shot her out of the air, but because of her armor, she was able to withstand the attack. He retreated back into the throne room and Beth walked up the rest of the stairs.
"Alright, mother. You have dispensed with your army, now fight me yourself," Beth told her mother who hadn't even turned to face her "It is time to end this."
"Hm... not quite yet," She replied while sitting down on Zeus' throne "First, you must defeat an old friend." Just as she finished that sentence, Aiden walked out from the area he had been hiding in.
"Hey there, Ellie," He greeted her, mockingly using the nickname only Nate was usually allowed to call her.
"Aiden, get out of my way," She told him, not even looking at him. "If you do not, I will kill you."
"Oh, you'll try, but I think I'm done talking."
"Sorry, wha-"
Aiden tackled her from the side, which conveniently knocked the weapons out of her hands. He pushed her out to a balcony and threw them both over the edge. As they struggled in the air, they slammed against the side of the mountain. They fell away from each other and tumbled down to an unused part of the mountain. With the body armor he was wearing, Aiden took less damage than Beth, but they were both still fine to fight. As Beth got up to her hands and knees, Aiden used help from his technologically advanced armor to stand up. She looked up and Aiden extended a blade from his wrist, then the two charged at one another.
"Let's go!"
"Fine."
Aiden stabbed at Beth's neck, but she pushed his arm down so he swung a hook punch. Beth ducked underneath the attack and Aiden used the momentum of the strike to spin around. When Beth stood back up, Aiden swung the blade at her neck. The moment Beth noticed the attack, she grabbed Aiden's wrist to stop his attack. Little did she know that he had more than one blade in his armor. While she was holding his wrist blade back, he took a combat knife from his leg compartment, and stabbed at her stomach! Beth yelped and pushed his arm blade down to block the knife.
"Huh, quick thinkin'," Aiden admitted before slamming his forehead into her eye which knocked her to the ground "But you still need to learn to fight dirty." Beth sat up with a groan, only to be kicked in the nose and knocked down to her knees "Come on! Get up!"
He put the knife away and took a sword out of the back compartment. Beth rolled out of the way of a swing down at her head, then jumped back to get away from a wrist blade stab. When Beth got back up, Aiden crouched and spun with one leg extended. She was knocked back down onto her side and when she got back up to her knees, he stabbed her in the shoulder. He pulled her back up with the blade in her shoulder, then tore it out. Beth swung a wild punch at him with the arm that had been stabbed, but he ducked the attack. As he ran under and behind her, Aiden slashed her side, causing her to stumble and fall onto her stomach. He got up and flipped the blade into his under hand before stabbing down at her head. Beth spun on the ground and stood up, letting his blade dig itself into the ground. She kicked it out of his hand and ducked under a stab from the wrist blade. She turned and tried to grab a bench behind her which gave Aiden an opening to slash up her back! She stumbled before falling onto the bench as he glared down at her hatefully.
"Now, how does it feel? How's it feel to be abandoned and forgotten by your team?" Beth was barely listening and swung the bench into his head, breaking it in half!
He fell to his knees and Beth replied "I would not know. It has and will never happen." She grabbed him by the collar and threw him against the side of the mountain.
He fell down onto his back and Beth pulled him back up to his feet. When he was back up to his feet, he pushed her back, and took out a machete. He stabbed at her head, but she clapped the blade between her palms to stop it. She pulled it out of his grip and threw it over the edge of the mountain. He growled and stabbed at her head again, but she ducked, and swung her knee into his side. He fell to the ground and took another knife out of his left leg compartment. He stood back up and yelled as his blade dug into her shoulder once again. She let out a loud grunt and grabbed him by the back of the head while he pushed the knife into Beth's shoulder. She winced as she pushed him down and kneed him in the sternum. As she threw him to the ground, Beth tore the knife out of her shoulder. She dropped the blade to the ground and walked over to him as he pushed himself back up.
"Are you done?" Beth asked.
In response, Aiden swung a hook punch at her neck, but Beth simply knocked it away with her forearm. She grabbed his wrist when he punched at her stomach. She threw his arm away, which gave him some momentum to spin around. Before she could attack his back, he slammed his armor booted foot into her sternum. Beth was about to fall back when she grabbed his armor to stop herself. She pulled herself back to him and slammed her elbow against the side of his head. She reeled back and slammed a hook punch across his jaw once more. She jumped back, then tackled him to the ground, and proceeded to put him in a headlock.
"Do it, Beth," He groaned as he struggled against her.
"Shut it Aiden, just shut it." She broke his neck and left his body "Now... To deal with moth- augh..." She fell to her knees and called Gungnir back to her hand "Lokaðu sárum." She used the Bifrost whip to bring Hofund back to her hand "Alright..." She got back up and began walking up the stairs.
