Carnage in the Courtyard

Back down in the courtyard, Marc and Nate continued battling Zelus and Cratus. Marc gave himself a power boost by electrifying his blood, making it rush faster and hotter. With this energy increase, he threw himself at Cratus. He began barraging him with punches, pushing him backwards. The open courtyard was much like the combat stage they had at the Haven before it had been burned into a pile of ash. His rush finally ended and in his break to take a breath, Cratus attacked. He pulled his gigantic greatsword off of his back and swung horizontally at Marc's head. He ducked under the attack and leapt into the air with a spin. He lifted his mace up into the air and slammed it down onto the ground, creating a thunderous shockwave to push Cratus back.
While Cratus and Marc fought using mostly their pure brute strength, Nate and Zelus used skill, speed, and combat smarts. Nate used his twin blades to push Zelus back, then rolled over his back as the Minor God stabbed at him with his spear. Before Zelus could turn around, Nate kicked him in the back, sending him flying up into the air. Fortunately for Zelus, his wings let him stop himself, so he turned, and dove down at Nate. He pulled his blade back and stabbed down at his head, but Nate rolled behind Zelus. As his blade dug into the quartz floor of the courtyard, Nate got back up to his feet. Zelus ripped his blade out and the two glared at each other while circling one another. The two ran at each other and Zelus swung at Nate's head, but he blocked the attack just in time. He was knocked backwards and backrolled when he landed, using his blades to stop himself completely. He got back up and rolled his shoulders, then attacked again with a swing to Zelus' neck. He stepped back and swung his spear's blade at Nate's head. He blocked with his left sword and used his right to push the weapon away from his head.
"This all you got?" Nate asked as he leapt into the air "Come on! Our last fight was way harder!" He brought his blades down at Zelus' head.
"Oh, I thought this was you just trying to distract us," Zelus told him while pushing back "Do you actually believe yourselves capable of defeating us?"
"Seeing as we've beat you all before?" He asked as he got an idea "Yup." He backrolled and kicked Zelus over the edge, knowing it wouldn't end the fight, but it would give him room to breathe.
Marc leapt at Cratus and swung his mace at his head, but he jumped back to dodge the attack. The Demigod landed and slammed his electrified fist into the Minor God's jaw. Using the momentum of his fist, he jumped down onto his palm, and thrust both heels into Cratus' chest. He stumbled and accidentally turned around, an opening Marc tried to exploit. He landed back on his feet and swung his mace at Cratus' spine, but he used his gigantic sword to block the strike. Cratus gripped his sword's hilt with both hands, turned back around, and they swung at one another. Their blades collided and the clash caused sparks to fly out everywhere. Using his weapons' momentum, Marc spun around, and swung at his head again. Cratus jumped back to block the attack, then side stepped a downward swing. When Marc brought his weapon back up, Cratus used the flat of his humongous blade to stop his attack from connecting. When Marc's weapon crashed into his, Cratus began to push back while turning his blade so that the sharp part moved toward his opponent's head. They struggled against one another until Marc pushed Cratus' weapon to the side and kicked him in the nose.
"This is ridiculous," Cratus sighed "You seriously seek to oppose the might of Olympus?" For some reason Zelus began to attack Marc as well and the grandson of Thor could see Heimdallr's son running up the steps to the throne room.
Athena knocked Beth to the brick floor and was about to kill her when she heard the doors open. She looked back at them, but whoever was had already made it inside. She looked around for a while before Noah sprouted up from behind her. She turned to look at him and ducked under a slash from his sword.
"Remember me, Athena?" He asked, his Bifrost arm still unstable, but more controlled than when she had last seen him.
She looked back at Noah and in that split second, Beth recalled Gungnir, and got behind her mother. She kicked her in the back, which sent her towards Noah. He created a wall of Bifrost in front of himself and used it to knock her backwards. For that brief moment, they both felt like children again, thinking back to the first time they had ever met. In that moment, the fight with Estevan was the most intense thing Beth had ever thought she would face. Now she had faced down actual Gods and was fighting for the sake of all worlds. Athena, while she stumbled toward Beth, shortened the pole of her spear and lengthened the tip into a full length blade. With her new sword, she turned, and swung at Beth's head. She blocked the attack and they pushed against each other for a moment. Athena pushed down and locked their blades together, then sprung back out. She threw Beth away and knocked Hofund out of her hand, which stabbed into the floor behind her. Noah took notice of this, but he didn't have time to grab his father's blade. Athena brought her sword up above her head and swung down at Beth, but Noah intervened with his own sword. He pushed Athena backwards, then she kicked him in the stomach. Noah stumbled back a few steps, then tumbled down onto his back. Athena turned back to her daughter, but she was gone.
As she looked around, Athena muttered "Where did she...?" Athena heard footsteps coming from behind the thrones "Hm." Beth jumped up onto Athena's throne, then leapt up into the air.
Athena just stepped out of the way of the attack and Noah had gotten back up with Hofund in his hand, which prompted Athena to state "Finally. A fight seemingly worthy of my attention."
They got on either side of her and Beth swung at her mother's stomach, but she let her weapon bounce off of Aegis. Noah used his power over Bifrost to call it to his hand. The two switched swords and Noah jumped at Athena. He swung down at the side of her head, but she raised her sword up to block his two handed swing. Beth swung down at her mother, but she blocked with Aegis again. After bracing herself just a bit better, Athena pushed both of them backwards. They both stumbled backwards and while Beth fell on her back, Athena turned her attention to the Aesir half blood. She jumped, spun, and thrust a crushing kick into his chest. Noah went flying backwards and tumbled behind Hera's throne. She looked back at Beth and held her hand out, a strange white glow surrounding it. The exact same light enveloped Beth and Athena threw her up to the roof. She slammed into the ceiling, then Athena dropped her down into Poseidon's throne.
She turned around and blocked Noah's attack and he told her "Look what your home's become."
"It will be restored soon," Athena replied "Do you really think your father's sword can hurt me?"
"Nah, of course not," Noah replied "But it can hold you down."
"Until I reveal my true power." Athena began to glow brightly, then when Beth sat up, a gigantic white explosion erupted out of Athena!
Both Noah and Beth were thrown up into the air, the gravity in the room becoming erratic and uncontrollable. After a moment, the cold, platinum flames retracted back into her body. Before Noah landed back on the floor, another powerful shockwave rocked the throne room. He was sent flying through the ceiling and began to plummet down to the ground below. He was still holding onto Hofund and his secondary sword, but he didn't know how they could help stop his fall. All he could do was launch himself toward the stairs to the throne room and just tumble down them to avoid any serious damage. After the long, excruciating rolls, bounces, and falls down the stairs, he finally made it back down to the bottom. He groaned and he got back up, but then he saw Zelus glaring down at him again. Noah sighed and spat out some blood, then the two charged at each other again.
Back in the throne room, Beth was all alone with her mother again... but now the situation was much, much worse. Athena had taken her true form now and her power had skyrocketed. Her skin was seemingly made of platinum now and her eyes were a soulless white. Her weapons were also pulsing with her divine power and her armor had turned into Zeus's Aegis chestplate. Beth was surprised she was able to withstand looking at her or even being in the same room, but she could only assume it was because of the power simply being a momentous magnified version of her own.
"Now that we are left alone, daughter..." Athena began, her voice eerie, irritated, and echoing "We can get on with your execution." Beth took a deep breath, then decided to rush toward her mother, knowing she would need to put everything into this battle... not that she wasn't already.
The two swung their swords at each other and they clashed, but Athena was easily pushing her backwards. Beth spun around and tried to kick her mother, which also caused Athena to fall forward. Beth had mismeasured her attack and kicked next to her mother, an opening which Athena took advantage of. She elbowed her daughter in the back and sent her flying forward. Beth put Noah's sword in her hip sheethe and rolled over her shoulder.
She jumped back up to her feet, spun in the air, and yelled "Sprenging af krafti!" A yellow energy blast shot out of the tip of Gungnir as she took it off of her back, but Athena jumped back to avoid it "Höggbylgja!" An invisible attack... which was indicated by a green glow in Gungnir's blade, threw Athena backwards.
Athena landed on Ares's throne and picked her sword up off of the ground. She hadn't expected Gungnir's magic to still be able to effect her, but since it could, she knew she needed to put a stop to it. She jumepd at her daughter and spun around horizontally in the air, trying to take her head off. Beth ducked under her mother's attack, then swung her sword up at her mother. Athena landed and blocked Beth's advance, then stepped back, and spun around with the momentum of her current movement. Beth was wary about advancing on her mother, given the level of power she had, but she had no choice but to fight with everything she had. Athena spun around and swung at Beth's chest, so her daughter swung up with her own sword. Athena's attack was blocked, but it was too heavy for Beth to stay standing there. She began to fall backwards, but she caught herself on her palms. She swung her legs back and pushed herself back up to her feet, then ran at her mother again. Athena swung the sword at her daughter's waist, so beth jumped over the attack. She spun around with her sword behind her back so Athena couldn't sneak attack her in the air. They both spun around and right before Beth landed, their blades collided again. Beth was knocked backwards in the air, but it was nothing too severe. Beth watched as her mother took a step or two toward her while doing a flourish with her sword. She could see the energy building up in her mother's blade and took Gungnir off of her back.
Athena moved toward her and swung her blade at Beth, so the much younger warrior yelled "Forðastu!" She was launched backwards in the air, doing a corkscrew backwards while Athena's blade struck and shattered a blue, static double of her daughter "This has gone on long enough!" Beth landed and ran toward Athena again, her mother mirroring her.
