Hermes quickly departed after giving the group some... rather troubling news. Apparently, Athena had taken her warriors into the Nine Realms! Sure, the Gods there were more powerful than most Greek ones, but the Olympians were on an entirely different level. They were all used to the Athenian Warriors, so they could handle them easily while everyone in the Nine Realms other than Marc would be caught unawares. They had to come up with a way to get to the Nine Realms in a timely manner, but then Nate remembered something.
"They shouldn't be able to have gotten into the realms without an Yggdrasil seed," He reminded his friends "As far as I know, there aren't any in the Mortal World."
"Actually... I think there is!" Mikayla chimed in after a short pause "I heard of this place that specializes in containing divine artifacts and creatures. I never wanted to go myself because if they found me, I'd be imprisoned."
"That may be where we need to go, then," Beth groaned "So how do we get there? Where would we even find it?"
"Apparently it's in Florida," Mikayla sighed.
"Of course it is," Kenneth groaned "Gulltoppr?"
"Gulltoppr... only problem is, we've got one way to actually know where it is," Nate replied.
"Well... does anyone know where the closest computer is?" Mikayla asked "I looked around on the internet, which is where I heard about this place, and if I can get into it, we can probably find at least something that would help us."
"Hm..." Beth sighed as she looked down and tried to remember where anywhere that may have had a computer "Oh! I remember now!"
"Where? Where did you see one?" Mikayla asked.
"I am not sure if this is the kind of computer we would need, but there was a gas station left of here. We would need to go the exact opposite way of when we went to Las Vegas."
"I think you saw a God damn cash register," Mikayla groaned "Beth, that's not a real computer!"
"No, no, I know what a cash register is, I saw a back room with a computer."
"Oh! Well then, that'll do. Come on, we should go as soon as possible."
They all agreed and hopped back onto Gulltoppr to start... what they expected to be the end of their war with Athena. They rode out to the edge of the woods and walked through until they found the gas station. At this point it was closed, at least the store was, so it would be slightly more difficult to get in but easier to be unnoticed once they figured it out. Just in case, they decided to keep Gulltoppr in the forest for safety. The last thing they needed was for the police to be on them because of a wild lion being on the loose.
"Alright, there's no one here, quick smash and grab," Mikayla whispered as they walked up to the entrance. "Uh; first we're gonna have to deal with that." She pointed up at a security camera.
"Got it. Beth, boost?" She nodded and got down on one knee, then threw Nate up to the camera, which he ripped off the wall while falling back down "Alright, now. Getting inside is the next obstacle."
"Even simpler than getting that thing disconnected," Beth told them "It is a simple key lock, right?" They nodded "Does anyone see a piece of scrap metal anywhere?" They all looked around and Nate grabbed the broken security camera and brought it over to Beth "Good, melt it down please." He nodded and melted it down by closing his fist around the camera "Now, hand that to me please?" Nate looked up at her and held it out, showing that it was still melting "When it had cooled a bit." They waited a few seconds for the metal's glow to die down and she took it "Okay, not..." She put the small piece of moldable metal into the keyhole and let it form itself into a key, then she turned it to let them in "There we go."
They walked into the gas station and Mikayla grabbed any cash left over in the register. It wasn't much, but if they needed to bribe somebody, it would likely be enough. The melting metal trick wouldn't work again, so they just used brute force. Nate kicked the door in and they walked into the back office. Strangely, it seemed larger than the front of the store, but it wasn't what they were concerned with. When they found the computer was locked with password, Kenneth cracked his knuckles while stepping forward. Hermes' son used his top speed but only in his fingers and after testing out almost seven quadrillion passwords in under five seconds, he finally figured it out. The computer finally let them in and they began to look through the web for any information on the facility they were trying to find.
"Hey, Nate!" Beth called out, "You think anyone would notice if I take some candy and these gloves." She held up a red pair of fingerless gloves.
"Probably not," He replied while he and Kenneth searched through the web with Mikayla "Take whatever you want, just not too much. The camera they can write off, but the door... oh, they'll know there was a break in. just take whatever you want, not like I can stop you... okay, I can, but I won't."
Beth snickered and slipped the gloves on and put some candy and snacks into her bag, "I have the best best friend ever."
"Got it!" Kenneth exclaimed as he slapped the table "Nate, could you write this down... right." Kenneth momentarily forgot that they both had terrible handwriting "Eden?"
"Mhm?"
"Okay, so it is underneath the Cruise Terminal Five in Port Canaveral." She wrote it down and after filling a few bags with any snack they could find that looked interesting, they left.
While they were riding, they discussed what the plan was to break into the place. Since it was underground, Eden would be able to detect it by channeling the energy of the roots and finding where they stop abruptly. Mikayla would get them in with whatever spell she could conjure, stealth was advised but none of the group were afraid of garnering a little attention. Beth and Kenneth would find a boat for them to take to Norway for the entrance to the Yggdrasil. Nate would be in charge of finding a seed of the World Tree so that they could actually enter the Nine Realms, plus a Realm Travel Rune Stone to get into Midgard. Nate's job would arguably be the most complicated so Mikayla and Eden would help him. Gulltoppr would be hidden away so that he wasn't put in danger by being a mythological creature out in the wild. The ride was long as the group didn't exactly feel like using Gulltoppr's super speed. Sure, Athena was probably already ransacking the realms, but they knew they couldn't stop her the way they were now. They would need better armor and weapons, even if most of the group already had upgraded armaments.
"So... where'd the new arsenal come from?" Nate asked while riding through Georgia.
"Oh, we had a talk with Hephaestus," Eden explained. "He saw that our weapons were outdated and damaged so he gave us new ones."
"Ah... couldn't have brought anything for me?"
"Yeah, sorry. We didn't have a chance to ask for your measurements," Mikayla groaned "We don't analyze people like you tend to." The group continued to joke and laugh with each other all through the night and fell asleep in Florida.
