Finally Some Relaxation Time

After putting their things down, which was very little, each group took in their rooms. They were all about the same size as the largest room in their cabins, so they felt at home again. Instead of being made of wood, they were made of drywall with different wall designs. They all had windows in their room that gave them a view over the city, which would give them some time to see the Athenian Warriors coming if they ever tried something.
"Guys, this place has a massive t.v.!" Marc exclaimed.
"Room's got a great bed," Kenneth noticed.
"They have an awesome bathtub!" Nate yelled, causing the other two to look at him, clearly judging "What? I like baths."
Beth and Hayden were in their room just relaxing when Hayden asked "Oh, right. You wanted to know what he and I talked about?"
"Yeah! Because to be frank, you two have never had a civil conversation without trying to rip the other's head off."
"His past, that's all I'm going to say," He replied "He asked me not to tell you or the others, but let me just say, it's bad. It's really bad."
"Oh... wow, I am sorry."
"Tell that to him once he shows you. For now though..." He got up off the bed and started sifting through the clothes he had brought "Put something on. We're heading down to let you finally have some fun for once in your life."
Beth looked at herself, "what's wrong with my outfit now?"
"You look like you've been sleeping in the forest for days. We'll be spotted in seconds. Just change into something... wow, I really sound like Dallr, huh?" Beth rolled her eyes and got up, taking the clothes from his hands.
She kissed his cheek, "Fine." She pulled down the zipper on her top then looked back at Hayden, "Cover your eyes."
"Why it's not like I haven't seen anything-mph!" Beth covered his mouth and then her eyes darted around the room.
"Because Nate could be listening in. He's next door, don't forget. You know how he is about me-"
'Think I give a shit?' Nate thought into her head, that same far away echoing voice seeping into her thoughts 'Beth, over half of us have seen you naked... okay no never mind. Just me and lover boy.' In the trio's room, Nate just put on some jeans and a white short sleeved dress shirt, Marc put on... basically a more upscale version of what he wore every day, and Kenneth put on a plaid dress shirt and blue jeans.
In the couple's room, Hayden had brought an all black suit that his father had given him. He put on the coat and dress pants, then put the serpent symbol silver cufflinks on the wrists to complete the look. Beth, on the other hand, didn't have any clothes from her mother, so she just put on a red dress she had in her bag and ran her fingers through her hair.
"Can I turn around now?" Hayden asked.
Beth grabbed her shoes and started lacing them on, "yeah."
"Marc, give me my shirt back!"
"Come and get it!"
'I hope you two are less chaotic than the three of us.' Nate turned back to his group and asked "Hey, wanna have a shirtless pillow fight?"
"Yes!" The two both exclaimed as they all got shirtless and swung the pillows at each other.
In Eden and Mikayla's room, the two very quickly showed to have differing tastes in clothes, especially for partying. Mikayla just put on some new running shoes, black tights, a black t-shirt, and a jeans jacket. Eden, on the other hand, put on a red dress that fit her small size, a necklace that Demeter had given her with a crystalized ancient fossil at its center piece, and high heel sandals with gold strand bindings.
"Alright, how do I look?" Mikayla asked as they turned to face each other.
"Same as always," Eden sighed as she put a golden bracelet around her wrist "What about me?"
"Same as usual. You're still short-"
"Oh, hahah."
"And you're still kinda pretty."
Eden looked at her roommate silently for a moment, then sighed, and asked "Why are you so blunt?"
"I've grown up around Nate and Beth, of course I'm blunt."
They all left their rooms and went to go do their own thing, whatever that may have been. Eden went straight to just do some people watching as she had no idea what to do in a place like this. She could tell that some people were judging her, but in all reality she knew she would never see any of these people again after they left. Nate and Marc went to go to the bars to see if mortal alcohol levels were as high as the ones in Asgard. After about fifteen minutes, they realized that the heaviest drinks were barely even getting them buzzed. No matter how many they ordered with admittedly stolen money courtesy of Nate's World Lag, they still couldn't get drunk. Both gave up after a while and went to go do something else and walked past Mikayla, who was fixated on something. She had come across this betting game people had started called Strip Ping Pong. She knew the general rules of normal Ping Pong, so this wasn't anything she couldn't understand. While watching it, an idea began to grow in her mind as she looked over at Eden. Kenneth had gotten into Poker and knew how to play, plus being able to move faster than any human could comprehend gave him an advantage. He figured that if he was going to win money, why not take a page from Nate's book, and just make sure he did in fact win.
"Well, boys. I think I will take my winnings and... add to it," He said as he pushed all of his chips into the hole "How about this, no one holds back, no reserves. Deal?" His clearly drunk and angry competition all put their chips into the hole too "What do you say, boys? Is this how we will end it?"
"Yeah."
"You're gonna lose it all, boys," The other one said.
"Hm... well, let us just see about that." Before either of the men could retort, Kenneth used his super speed to move faster than they could even imagine, so to them it looked like he was still just sitting there "Alright, now let us have a look at both of your cards." One of them had a six and a seven while the other had a king and an ace. "Hm... okay, so I have an ace of clubs and a queen of diamonds. I am not sure if that will get me where I need to go, so let me just..." He went over to the dealer and swapped out his queen for another ace "There we go. They will never see it." He went back to his seat and time ramped back up to its normal speed.
"Okay, men. You will now show your hands." The three showed their hands "Mr. Kenneth is the winner. Would you like to keep and cash out now or go one more round?"
"I think I will take my winnings and cash out, thank you very much," Kenneth replied as he walked away with his money, passing Nate who had separated from Marc.
Nate had decided to get behind the bar and start making Asgardian drinks, but the alcohol level in the normal drinks was illegal, so he had to dumb them down. People seemed to really like them so Nate gave the normal bartenders a list of the ingredients and how to prepare the drinks. While he was behind the bar, he noticed two Centaurs dragging a pretty red haired woman into the elevator. The Mortals could only see them as two normal men, but Nate could see their horse legs. Given Centaurs' reputation, Nate knew that the woman was screwed in more than one way.
"Huh, speaking of which..." He went over to a group of young men and asked "Wanna put in a bet for which of my friends are gonna bang first?" They agreed and half went with Beth and Hayden while the other half went with Eden and Mikayla "Alright, I know at least one of them is gonna go at it tonight, so meet back here tomorrow, and some of you will lose some money." Kenneth looked over at him and Nate sensed his judgement "What? You got money, so will I, we need a fucking car that can carry Gulltoppr's big ass... ooh, let's go get a truck."
"Can I get in on the bet, because I am saying Beth and Hayden."
"Deal."
Said boyfriend had overheard what they were saying and asked "Wait, you and Eden aren't together?"
"What? I mean, I had a crush on her for a while, but it never went anywhere," Kenneth responded.
"And if you're about to ask about me and Mikayla, no," Nate told him calmly while making another drink completely by reflex.
"Oh, well then... thinking Beth's gonna be one more person who'll be disappointed."
"Oh, yeah. I think the people who got on Eden and Mikayla just won," Nate said while looking over at them.
"Wait, what? Why?" Kenneth asked.
"'Cause they both just got tricked into drinking Lotus wine," Nate explained completely nonchalantly.
"Oh."
"Myeh."
The boys stopped paying attention as Mikayla and Eden put their glasses down and the former asked "So, wanna take a jab at this Strip Ping Pong thing?"
"Uh... sure, but I think it would be a bit unfair as you are wearing a bit more than I am."
"Eh, we'll give you more cups, come on."
After a few games and Mikayla losing her shoes and jacket and Eden lost her dress and one of her sandals, Nate put his voice into their heads with 'If you're gonna fuck, go to your room.'
They did as he told them and walked up to their room and the fun began. Mikayla pinned Eden to the wall of their room and kissed her neck. Eden gasped as she felt Mikayla slip off the straps of her red dress. Once Mikayla tore the dress off of her roommate, she swung her around, and threw her down onto the bed. Before Eden even had a chance to react, Mikayla pulled her shoes off and took the braid out of her hair before crawling on top of her.
"You should've been Aphrodite's daughter," Mikayla told her while pinning her to the bed, making sure that Eden knew what she was going to be in for all night.
Nate came into Hayden and Beth's room and asked "Okay, while the others are having their fun, how about we come up with a plan for after we leave here?"
"We have one, get to the White House, talk Athena down, and then we go home," Hayden replied.
"Well, by the time we get back, you'll only have like a third of a year left at the camp. Remember, once you're twenty five, you're out."
"Oh, yeah... I forgot about that," Hayden sighed "Well, you guys are allowed to leave, too."
"Yeah, and thanks to Kenneth constantly cheating to win in gambling, he's amassed a few million bucks in winnings."
"Huh, guess whoever leaves first gets to keep most of it to get a house," Nate said "But before then, let's come up with a plan. So, it should only take us about two days to get from here to Washington if we go non stop. That means we can stay here for another day or two, then ride there, get a room at a cheap motel near the White House, then go talk to her. I think it should be the three of us who go up to her since we've all got some level of a strong connection to you." They heard some kind of creaking but assumed one of them had just shifted on the bed, so they continued planning.
"The others should definitely keep watch outside in case Athena or her warriors try something," Beth added as she pulled up a picture of the White House from a bird's eye view on the computer in the room and pointed at a few points. They sliced into Nate's finger and drew circles on the screen to plot out the others' positions. There was no need to take a picture or anything because thanks to the powers he gained from Heimdallr, Nate had near perfect photographic memory. They had to cut into his finger a few times because the cut was so minor that his accelerated healing closed it in a matter of seconds.
"Okay, that's starting to get on my nerves. Knock it off!" Nate slapped the nail file out of Beth's hand "Now! How about we-" They heard more rocking and bed creaking in the room next to them "Oh, for the love of..." He got on the bed, walked to the wall, and kicked it to shut Mikayla and Eden up, but it was clear they didn't hear or just didn't care "Ugh."
"Wait, who is that?" Beth asked as she sat down on the bed as Nate hopped down off of it.
"Oh, Eden and Mikayla are going at it, and I don't mean their sparring," Nate replied "Oh, you and Kenneth are getting twenty bucks."
"Wait, that bet was actually a thing?"
"Yeah, why?"
"Hold on! Mikayla and Eden are a thing!?" Beth exclaimed.
"Uh... I mean, I guess?" Nate replied, confused.
"No!" Beth whined and flopped down onto the bed with her face in the pillow.
"I- I'm sorry, am I missing something?" Hayden asked as they looked down at her, brushing her hair out of the way. She hummed sleepily.
"I think we both are," Nate replied, then he nudged her in the side with his foot "Hey, idiot. You good?"
"Don't call her an idiot."
"I've called her worse."
"I'm never gonna win with you, am I?"
"Nope." Nate flipped her over onto her back "Explain, idiot."
"Ugh, my ship is ruined now!"
"The Hel's a ship?" Nate asked.
"Basically when someone wants two people to get together. Was it Kenneth and Eden?"
"Yes! They were supposed to fall in love!"
"You know Kenneth's gay, right? He'd sooner fall in love with me," Nate informed her.
"Wait what!?" She sat up and glared at him fully awake now. "And you did not tell me this before now, why!?"
"Why would it matter!? It's not like I knew you wanted those two to get together."
"You are constantly in my head."
"I go into your head for stupid shit, I avoid any romantic type crap."
"Ugh! Whatever, we have the plan now!" Beth yelled at him and her face went back into the pillow and she was out 2 seconds later.
"Is she always this much of a bitch?" Nate asked Hayden.
"I will drown you."
"You've tried before."
"Just get the hell out!"
"Alright, alright. I'm out."
