Chapter 9: Goodbye England

"Look Alessia I'm really sorry" I said as we sat on my bed, talking about what happened

"I know you are Alex, I know you didn't mean for it to end like it did but it still hurts" Alessia said softly

"I was determined to make Emily happy that I didn't even think about anything else"

"I know you are head over heels for her, if my ex boyfriend could have treated me right I would have probably done the same"

"Were head over heels" I corrected her

"I think what made it worse was the fact I was trying to find out my sexuality, I was trying to get comfortable with the fact I like girls... and then I was sort of tossed around by you... I think that's what made it harder" Alessia explained

I stood up and walked to my window

"Fucking 'ell" I said quietly

What had I done...I know how difficult it can be trying to get comfortable with your sexuality with out being treated the way I treated her

I heard Alessia stand up

"What have I done, I'm so sorry I treated you lik-" I was cut off by Alessia wrapping her arms around my waist

"I know by this reaction you didn't mean it, I don't think I could ever see us going further then friends anymore since what happened... you hurt me way to much" Alessia said

I knew I had to mature even though I wish she said she could see a future I know I can't hold a grudge or act hard down by because I put myself in that position

I want to prove to her that we could be more then friends... but first I need to prove to her that I can listen to her and respect her wishes

I nodded and turned around

"I understand, I'll happily take you as just a friend then not have you at all"

We moved onto a different subject...

"So what's happening with you and Emily" Alessia asked

"I'm going to see her to tell her that we can't be a thing anymore" i said

"But what about prom?" Alessia asked

"I'm not taking her to prom after what's she's done... I know it's karma and all but I'm not ruining my prom taking her" I said

"Karma?" Alessia asked

"Yeah for the way I treated you" I shrugged

Alessia smiled softly and went and sat down on my chair

"So who you taken to prom?" Alessia asked

"No one, I'll just go by myself and then hang out with my mates" i shrugged

"What about me and you go together?" Alessia asked

"Would you want that?" I asked

"Yeah I mean forget everything that's happened for one night and then after we stay strictly friends?" Alessia said

I liked the idea... having Alessia by my side at prom

I nodded to the idea

"Let's see what your wearing then" Alessia said pulling open my cupboard

I grabbed the black blazer with the white bottomed up shirt and my black suit pants

"No way my dress is black!" Alessia said

"Matching then" i teased

I put it away as Alessia looked through my cupboard

"I haven't got mine yet" Alessia said as she picked up my kit for UNC
