Chapter 34: Russo

I decided to stay home and not travel with the team for there away game against Aston Villa

My brother has been in contact with me about my dad but we still haven't arranged a date for the funeral nor even think about who to invite

I sat and laid on the sofa, Jill and the team had left this morning and were staying over and then playing tomorrow

Out of boredom I picked my phone up and clicked on her contact... Alessia's to be exact

'Hello russo' I sent

'You okay Alex?' She sent back nearly immediately

'I'm fine why?'

'Well you texting me out of nowhere makes me wonder if something has happened'

'Nah just bored, what you doing?' I sent

'I'm in London actually, finished up some interviews I've got down here'

An idea popped into my mind

'Wanna hang out?' I sent

'I mean I'm free right now and not leaving until tomorrow, what you got in mind?'

I smiled down at the message, relieved that she said yeah

'Could go to this cafe i know and then come back to mine?'

'Sounds perfect x'

I sent her the address for the cafe and she said she would be there in an hour

I got up and went into my wardrobe looking for a nice outfit to put on

I went with some cargos, not tight but not baggy and then a white top with a Nike hoodie over the top

Nice but still casual

I put my shoes on and then left the house and drove to the cafe

I stepped into the cafe and saw her immediately, I walked over and saw that she had ordered for both of us

She saw me and stood up, once I reached her i pulled her into a hug feeling that safety feeling again

We said our hellos before sitting down

"So how's Utd" I asked softly as I took a sip out of my drink

"Decent, feel like we should be pushing for a higher position tho" she said honestly

I nodded along as she talked about Utd and how she feels like she hasn't been treated right by the staff, how she feels the team have been treated wrongly from the people in power and how the club still focus highly on the men and hardly anything on the women

"I shouldn't complain though, they have given me this platform" Alessia sighed

I placed my hand on hers

"Less you have every rights to say what you think, you got yourself to where you are right now not Utd" I said

"I know but-"

"No buts" I said smiling softly at her

She softly sighed before nodding her head

"Are you enjoying your time at Utd seriously" I asked

"The team are fun to be around but like I said I feel like we aren't performing to our best standards" Alessia said honestly

"Tell them how you feel" I shrugged

"Only way they will know how you feel" I added

We carried on talking before agreeing to go back to mine, I payed for the drinks and then we walked to my car
