Chapter 38: I can't

I groaned as I turned over in Alessia's and my bed, shoving my head into Alessia's pillow on her side

I've had non stop headaches ever since the match two days ago, I've been advised to stay at home and get some sleep

Sleep. Funny...

If I can't sleep at night how can they expect me to sleep during the day

Alessia was still at training, or I think, I don't what the time is so can't judge when she's about to get home

Well judge I didn't need to do as I heard the front door unlock and Alessia's voice walk through the door

She was on the phone to someone clearly, I stayed in bed knowing that she would find me here easily

I listened to her conversation, now finding out it was her mum

She said goodbye to her mum before making her way up to me

She sat down in the edge of the bed and put her hand on my cheek softly

"How's your head?" Alessia asked

I shock my head, talking seemed like a massive effort right at this point in time

She smiled softly down at me before leaning down and pressing a kiss to my forehead

"Did you get any sleep?" She asked

I shook my head again

"Don't know what they were thinking, sleep was the thing that caused this and they magically assumed I'll be able to sleep it off" I scoffed, finding energy to speak about something I strongly disagree with

"I know, I know, I'm here now" less said before standing up and taking her jumper off, going round to the free side of the bed and getting in

She rested her head on my chest and wrapped her arm around my chest, she pressed a kiss to my neck before whispering that she had got me

Just like old times I slowly started to drift to sleep, relaxing for the first time in days

When I woke up Alessia was now gone, her side of the bed cold telling me she had been gone for quite a while

I slowly got up and made my way downstairs

"Less" I groaned as I rubbed my eyes

"Hey sleepy" less said as she grabbed my wrists and pulled me closer to her as she was sat on the sofa

"Where did you go?" I mumbled as I laid down next to her

Before I could get a reply I was already drifting to sleep, Alessia draping a blanket over me as I used her thigh for a pillow

This was the nicest feeling ever, being able to wake up and go back to sleep so quickly

After a few days of just sleeping I started to get restless again, becoming harder to get to sleep again

I decided that I would busy myself through the day and then I would be tired enough to go to sleep, I still arnt aloud to train yet which is causing most of my boredom

"Your working yourself to hard" Alessia mumbled as she wrapped her hands around my waist and rested her head against my back as I stood and changed one of the countertop lights

"I'm not less" i said as I focused on unscrewing the light bulb

"A few jobs around the house won't hurt me" I shrugged

"A few is an understatement" Alessia scoffed

I finished changing the light bulb and turned around to face her, my back leaning against the countertop as her head rested against my chest
