Chapter 15: Together

"I'm sorry kid, your mums been killed in a car crash" my dad said over the phone

"She was the best thing that ever happened to our family" he added

"Fuck off dad" I spat

How dare he act like this now she's dead even though when we were younger we had to watch him beat her, watch as people my dad was involved with hit and hurt my mum instead of my dad because he wasn't home at the time they came.

"I know your just upset kid" he said

"Don't act like you care now, you ruined all our lives growing up, your kids had to watch there dad beat there mum and now you want to act like you care and play that sad act... i ain't doing this shit" I said before ending the phone and slamming it down

I burst into tears before anger overcame me, I grabbed the close thing to me and chucked it at the wall, smashing the picture that was on the wall... the picture of me and my mum

I walked over and picked it up, I traced my finger over the broken glass, going over the outline of my mum in the photo, I winced as I cut my finger on the broken glass

My bedroom door swung open, someone put there arm around my shoulder and brought me into them

"Come on let's clean that cut up" Lotte said softly

She took me to the kitchen and cleaned it up, I looked up and saw a bottle of vodka on the top of the fridge

I stood up

"Where you going" she said softly

I ignored her and grabbed the bottle before walking out of the house, slamming the door

I walked to the lake and sat down looking out at the lake

Flashback:

"Come on mum it's not that hard" I laughed as she tried to kick the ball

"Right you go in net then" I said pushing her to the net

I clicked the ball, my mum went to kick it, it bounced off her ankle leaving a bruise there

"Alex!" My mum shouted

"Good save mum" I teased

Mum started laughing as she walked over to me

"Come on kiddo let's go home" she said softly

Flashback 11:

"If you get into arsenal you and me will move down to London okay" my mum said hugging me

"Thank you mum, I don't know what I would do with out you" I said pulling out of the hug

We opened the email

"Omg! You got in" she shouted bringing me back into a hug

"I can't believe it" I said shocked trying to process it

Flashback 111:

"You look beautiful" mum said as I walked down in my prom outfit

"Thanks mum" I smiled bringing her into a hug

"Look at you all grown up" mum said getting tearful

"Don't cry you softie" I teased kissing her in the cheek before saying I had to leave

Flashback 1111:

"You know Alex" my mum said as we sat in the living room

"Hm" I said paying attention to the tv
