AMY SAT BEHIND the wheel, driving, hoping the plan went smoothly. Her phone was ringing— it was Jay. She had slapped him pretty hard back at the casino to keep their covers.

She then heard the police sirens behind her. She was being pulled over. Amy stopped the car, and a police officer appeared at her door. "Do you know why I pulled you over?"

Amy shook her head, smiling. "I have no idea, officer." She chuckled lightly.

"You were swerving."

"Oh, I didn't realize that."

"Coming from the casino?" Amy nodded. "Hand over the cash."

Just the words Amy didn't want to hear. "Why?"

"Look, hand it over, we can forget the whole thing." Amy stared this officer down. She almost couldn't believe it. "Or, I could throw you on top of the hood, throw the cuffs on you. Take you in for drunk driving."

Amy shook her head. "No." She grabbed the cash, hesitantly handing it over to him. He put it in the inside of his jacket before making his way back to his patrol car.

Two cars speeded over before he could reach the door— they were cops. Amy got out of her car, the cold air hitting her. She pointed her gun at him. "Drop the piece!"

The rest of the team got out and followed her lead. "Patrolman, drop the gun, or I drop you," Antonio threatened.

The officer dropped the gun and got on his knees. Kevin went over. He searched the guy before pulling him to his feet. "You're a disgrace to the uniform. And you're under arrest. Pretty sure you know the rest of the speech."

Jay went over to Amy and wrapped a jacket around her shoulders. He could see she was cold. "You okay?"

"I'm good."

THE FOLLOWING DAY, Amy and Erin went to talk to the officer who had lost his badge. Turned out the guy they arrested the previous night wasn't actually a cop. He was just pretending to be one.

"Officer Mularz?" They approached him. "Detective Hughes, this is Detective Lindsay. We're with Intelligence."

"We got a couple of questions about your badge," Erin stated.

Sam glanced between them before speaking. "I reported it lost two weeks ago. It's embarrassing. I got my suspicion days coming."

"How'd you lose it?" Amy questioned.
