AMY AND ERIN exited the patrol car. They were wearing police uniforms. They approached the vehicle that they pulled over.
"Morning," Erin greeted the man. "License and registration, please."
The man leaned out of the window. "What's the problem, officer?"
"You got a brake light that's flickering. License and registration."
"Right. It's going to be in here somewhere." He reached forward to grab something and saw another patrol car approaching them. Amy had her hand on her gun. She didn't trust this guy.
He did as he was told. He gave Erin his license and registration. As she made his way back to the patrol car, she got out. "Sir," Amy spoke to him. "Sir, get back in your car."
That was when he pulled out a weapon. "Gun!" Before he could get the chance to shoot Erin, Amy put him down. Shooting him several times. Roman and Kim joined them.
Roman checked the back of the car. "Holy," he muttered.
"You got kilos?" Erin asked him.
"Nope, we got a body." Kim found a phone in the car. The detectives approached Roman. "They took his hand off."
"Driver's phone," Kim walked up to them. "Couple of numbers saved."
"Well, it's a start, I guess," Erin said.

"The driver of our target vehicle," Jay spoke. He put the picture up. "Ignacio Perez. Organized crime snatched him up last year on drug conspiracy charges. They found four bricks of Sinaloa heroin on him, but he was never charged."
"So, he cut a deal," Antonio said. "Get the case file from Narcotics, see who Perez was flipping on. Maybe they connect to the body in the truck."
"Yeah, the real issue is, not even trace amounts of heroin were found in the truck or on the body."
