AMY STOOD IN HER kitchen, preparing coffee to-go. She moved her attention to the tv and realized the reporter was talking about her parents' case. Arrests were made, and the story had finally reached them. Everyone would know what went down that day all those years ago.

And Amy didn't know if she was ready for that. She grabbed the tv remote and turned it off just as Erin walked in. "Morning."

"Good morning." Amy gave her the coffee.

"Thank you again for letting me stay here. And for getting me my job back." Erin smiled before taking a sip.

"There's no need to thank me." Amy grabbed her own coffee, along with her car keys.

"I am grateful though." They headed to the front door.

Amy looked at her suspiciously. "Fine, you can drive." Erin just smiled and grabbed the keys.

"Offender apparently got a new piece," Roman said

"Offender apparently got a new piece," Roman said. "Went popping off at a cookout. Got to love a heat wave in Chicago."

He was walking Alvin and Antonio to the crime scene with Kim. "So, we chase him in here. Subdued him using the minimal force necessary to effect an arrest."

"Jagoff tried to ditch the hardware. Threw it in the yard four houses south."

"I spotted the blood. Opened the refrigerator... never saw anything quite like that."

"Well, I sincerely doubt your shooter wanted us to find this," Alvin stated. "These are unrelated acts." He walked over to Hank.

"This is a black neighborhood," Erin said. "Always has been."

From their spot, Amy had a clear view of the little boy. "We're gonna find out somebody moved that kid here."

Jay walked up to them. "That call that was on the zone this morning? Kid went missing from Rogers Park. I think this is him."
