I walked back and put myself in front of her, looking at her in the eyes, she looked over at me, I saw the hurt and devastation in her eyes.

"Amethyst."

"Rooster." She whimpered.

We normally didn't use our call signs; it was something that was intimate between us.

"He told me to get you home, but we are not going right away."

She looked at me with confusion, but I gave her a smile.

"I have three days until I Mav is expecting me to come back for Aurora – so we are going to spend some time together, actually I have to report to base on Oahu."

"But he said we should..."

"He abandoned you again." I snapped, she looked up at me, her green eyes showing the tears that were starting to fall down her cheeks, instantly I took her face in my hands and wiped away her tears with the pads of my thumb.

"I'm sorry, you know how I feel about him treating you this way, I lost my temper."

I stood up, because if I stayed that close to her I was going to kiss her, and this so wasn't the time, I would be taking advantage of her when she was this upset.

"Did he say where he was? Why he left me?"

"No. I'm sorry."

"I have a bad feeling, he wouldn't just leave me Rooster, regardless of how much you hate him, and hate what we mean to one another – you know deep down that he wouldn't just leave me for no reason."

I let out a deep sigh and ran my hand over my face, realizing that I needed to shave.

"Okay, freshen up, and I will be back soon, do you want a sandwich or something."

"No thank you."

I gave her a hard look.

"You don't eat when you are stressed, I'm getting you food and you are eating, now freshen up."

I walked to the door.

"Where are you going."

The scared tone in her voice made me turn around and kneeled in front of her, taking her hands in mine.

"I'm just going to go and get some of your things from the boat, and I'm going to look around, look for some clues if I can find them.

I turned back around after standing up and reached for the door.

"Thank you, Rooster I mean it, thank you."

I looked over my shoulder at her.

"I would do anything for you...you know that right?"

I watched her cheeks color at my words, and she looked down shyly, I did my best not to smirk at her reaction as I left the room.

The boat was in good condition, but I looked around, getting her bag and her toothbrush and other bathroom things, when I had that in hand I walked over to the back of the boat where the damage was.

I jumped on the back deck looking, it was then in the daylight that I noticed something.

Reaching down I put my fingers in the slats on the wood deck, then looked, I could tell by how it coagulated that it was dry blood, and there was quite a bit of it.

At first I thought it was from Amethyst because she had hit her head before falling into the water, then I realized that she was pulled back on the boat on the other side of the deck.

This wasn't her blood.

Who's blood was this?

I grabbed her bag and jumped off of the boat, I wasn't going to tell her about this, she didn't need anymore stress.
