Its Time

--- Hangman's Point of View ---

I have to admit, the food on this base's cafeteria was way better than it was at Fightertown. I was exhausted, it had been a while since I worked out like that, but I felt better after. I was eating some protein.

I took the pain killers that I had, I was hungover, I had thrown out everything alcoholic in my house and would be drinking water from now on.

I finished eating quickly, I was going to go back home and try and figure out what was going on with Amethyst and my unborn child, I needed to see her, a part of me felt like I had to look at her up close to get a better look at her, only then would this anxiety that I am feeling start to subside.

I wondered if Hangman would ever let me be alone with her, I doubted it but I was going to try and do everything I could to win her back.

--- Stella's Point of View ---

I looked at the ceiling, content in my own emotions as I heard Rooster in the other room talking to your daughter, she was totally a daddy's girl, not that I minded, he was a wonderful father.

I took a deep breath, and my thoughts sobered up and I let out another sigh.

I wondered what kind of father Hangman would be, no matter how upset and mad I was at him, I knew that deep down, I wasn't selfish enough to keep his child from him.

I thought to myself for a moment, counting how far along I was, I realized I was far enough along.

I sat up quickly when Rooster came back into the room, with that same smug smile of a man who knew that his daughter was smitten by him, the moment he looked closer at my face he got serious.

"What?"

"I...we should find out if Aurora is going to have a brother or sister..."

His face relaxed.

"Oh, is it time."

"Yeah, I'm far enough along."

He walked over to me and sat down on the bed and he took my hands and held them in his.

"Are you sure you want to."

"Yes, I don't have a preference, but it's something that I should know..." I took a soft breath. "Something that he should know."

Rooster sat up a little bit straighter and nodded his head.

"Okay, I'll set up the appointment."

--- Rooster's Point of View ---

{Two Day's Later}

I walked into the gym on base, I was told that I would find Hangman here, he was working on a few weight sets, he set it back down on the rack and looked over at me.

"Rooster." He greeted I could tell that he was forcing that friendly smile.

"Hangman."

He sized me up, but I didn't let that bother me, I was just a hair taller than him.

"Father to father I wanted to tell you, Stella gave me permission to do so – you are having a son."
