the second son of the sea god

Kiwáni hated to say it, but she was sick of getting her ass kicked. With the weakening barrier around camp, there seemed to be a monster attack every day now. The amount of campers that were willing, and more importantly physically able, to fight off the daily monsters was dwindling. The daughter of Apollo herself was still healing from a massive side injury, where she had been slashed by a rogue griffin.

She had also been forced to trade her bow in for her sabre for the day, as the rest of Clarisse's archers had been taken out by a swarm of Mormones. She had been resting that day, and missed out on fighting the child-eating women. She could still hear the whimpers of her fellow campers as she left the infirmary tent in the morning.

The daughter of Apollo found herself next to Clarisse when the Colchis bulls attacked, the beast's breath igniting the ground and surrounding blades of grass. Kiwáni was just lucky she was somewhat heat resistant, something she had learned the previous summer when she grabbed one of the Furies's flaming whips. While Grover's hands had blistered and needed a healing hymn, her hands had only stung, as if she had stood out in the sun for too long and gotten a really bad sunburn.

"Phalanx formation!" Clarisse bellowed, her armor already charred. The daughter of Ares was waving her broken spear in the air, looking just as menacing with her broken weapon.

She, Ethan, and the others lined up shoulder-to-shoulder, holding their shields high up, and their weapons pointed out to hopefully pierce the metal bull's weak spot. Kiwáni waited behind, hoping to see an opening. As the only one somewhat okay with being set ablaze, she was the only one who could get close enough to hopefully wound the beasts.
