the Winter Solstice

Arriving at Mount Olympus in the middle of a thunderstorm was not high on Kiwáni's bucket list. As her pegasus dropped her off onto the top of the Empire State Building, the girl had to swipe her now wet hair away from her face multiple times.

As the four demigods made their way towards the gates, which still seemed to be glowing brightly in the dark gray clouds, the daughter of Apollo tried to calm her breaths.

Before the quest, Artemis had warned her about being at a crossroads, that a decision she was to make would make or break the rest of her life. From the way the goddess had to spoke to her after the defeat of Atlas, the girl had an innate feeling she had chosen wrong.

Kiwáni shuddered as she thought about her coming punishment. She had been to the Underworld, and seen the great horrors the souls of the undead had to combat for their crimes. She hoped that Zeus was in a lenient mood today, but judging from the growing storm, she guessed not.

The four demigods briskly walked into the throne room, where twelve enormous thrones sat, making a half circle around the room. And in the enormous, sat the enormous gods. Every single one of them seemed to be at least fifteen feet tall, and their eyes were all pointed in the demigod's direction.

"Welcome, heroes," Artemis said.

A loud moo rang throughout the room. Kiwáni almost giggled, but covered her mouth with a very suspicious cough. Her face turned towards the sound, and her face softened.

Grover had made it.

The satyr stood up from his kneeling position in front of Zeus's throne, starting to sprint towards the group.
