"Mr.Rajendra, Mrs.Nova is here to see you"
"I don't have any appointment with her today" Rajendra said
"I informed her the same sir, but she insists she has some urgent work with you, regarding the investments she said" his secretary informed him
Rajendra was trying to avoid Mrs.Nova for the past month, as he had thought she was getting to close to him, and Rani was also not liking it
The jealousy which he wanted Rani to feel was there but what if this pushes her more towards that Laxman, or she just leaves him for good
Rani won't leave him though, he will not let her, she will stay his Rani forever.
But now Mrs.Nova is here again, should he just send her back? But she was saying something about investments
"Let her in" Rajendra said finally
Now is a crucial phase, he cannot have any issues with investments
"Mr.Rajendra" Mrs.Nova entered with a bright smile
She was wearing a red blazer and skirt, and red stilettos, and carrying a matching red purse, definitely very expensive.
Will Rani like this ? Rajendra had thought looking at her bag
Ashley, shashayed towards him, and kissed on his cheeks as a form of greeting, as she always did
"Rajendra, I don't see you often nowadays" she said, perching herself on his desk right in front of him, and crossed her legs, drawing attention to her shapely legs.
"Mrs.Nova-"
"You can call me Ashley, darling, how many times shall I tell you this" she said with a bright smile
He should put things right, this does not seem right
"Actually Ashley, Rajini informed me this is about some issues with the investments, and today, I have to go back home early" Rajendra informed her. Rani was looking too dull nowadays, he will sort things out with her today
The smile slipped from her face for a second, but it was again replaced by her serene smile soo soon, Rajendra thought he had imagined it
"Can I only come to meet you, when there is an issue with the investments, darling? Aren't we friends" Ashley said with a smile, but her eyes had hardened.
"We are friends Ashley, shall we all meet up some other time say this weekend with Mr.Smith and Anjali as well" Rajendra suggested
"Ahh right, I almost forgot about her, how is she doing nowadays" she asked, and un-crossed and crossed her legs again
"She is little upset, but I think I will be able to sort it out with her, and frankly I think, I should apologize to her, our plan did not work much Ashley" Rajendra said
"Well, lets try more, and why would you apologize, she has to become more classy, her townish ways, reflect badly on you afterall." She said
"No, Ashley, I think I have hurt her, she no longer smiles like she used to, infact I had a favour to ask of you, if you don't mind, when all of us meet, why don't you clear the air between us, and I sincerely thank you for all your help, and I will do the same with Mr.Smith" Rajendra suggested
"What if I don't want to" she said biting her lower lip
"Excuse me?" Rajendra was perplexed at the sudden change in demeanor of Mrs.Nova
"What do you see in that small town girl Rajendra, frankly, she is not worthy of you, she is only pulling you down, you need someone confident and self sufficient to stay by your side, don't you think?" She said and stood up
"I think there has been some misunderstanding between us, Rani is my everything, yes I want her to learn and progress, but not because I want something from her. She just wanted certain things from her life and I think, I hindered her dreams, so-"
Ashley cut him off in between
"Enough about her Rajendra, what can she give you? But being with someone successful and with means to help you would be more beneficial to you, no?" She said again
What was going on? Did he some how gave some wrong signals to her? Why was she behaving like this?
"Mrs. Nova I think there has been some misunderstanding-" he started again
"No Rajendra, there is no misunderstanding, I wanted you the moment, I first laid eyes on you, and I think you want the same, you just dont know it yet, because of that stupid girl, you call your wife" she said, her tone hard and angry
"My Rani is not stupid, and I love her more than anything, please leave, you are a lady and I don't want to embarrass you, I will pretend I never heard all this nonsense" Rajendra said, his voice crisp, almost insulting
"Really, what about the dance, we shared, and later when you told her she was not good enough?"
Rajendra was shocked to hear all this
"How dare you eavesdrop on our private conversations and also it was your crappy idea to make hed jealous, you also told me this might reignite the lost spark between you and Mr.Smith, I never knew you had ulterior motives, please leave us alone, from now on, and as far as investments are concerned, I'll find another investor, our relationship of all sorts end now, please show yourself out, now!" Rajendra said firmly, indicating the door to her
Ashley smirked and shashayed towards him
"You think when you say its over, it is over, no darling, it is not"
She removed her blazer, right in front of him, and she was wearing nothing but a bra inside, and she sat on his lap
Rajendra was shocked to say the least, he had never expected this from Ashley, she was a dear friend, what the hell was she doing?
She took his hand in his, and placed it on her chest
"Will you really say no to this? For some town girl? I can satisfy you better Rajendra"
He should push her off immediately,
But before he could do anything, he saw Rani, his Rani standing at the door of his cabin, with tears running down her face, her eyes showing emotions of betrayal and her lips twisted in agony
