chapter 8

Days were passing by and Raja and Anjali were happy

The only problem was, Raja had started to become more and more busy , He had even started ignoring Anjali at times but she am consoled herself that it was due to stress , but she thought it was better to talk to him before distance between them started increasing

Anjali had cooked food and was waiting for him to come

After another half hour when he entered the house he was on a phone talking to someone

She asked him about the food by gesture and he said he'll come in 15 mins.

She was getting little nervous about how to broach the topic, what if it was all in her mind, and she hurt him by saying all this...

They sat together for dinner and , she was chewing her bottom lip , she did not know how to broach the topic

"Tell me Rani exactly why , you are looking as if you want to burst out" Raja said with an amused expression

She glared at him and he chuckled

"common tell" he said again while he placed his hand over hers, his hand as always were warm and safe

"Hmm , I was thinking Raja , we should go out for a trip , you have become busy nowdays we hardly spend time together, I know you have work commitments but-"

Before she could finish her rant he squeezed her hand gently to stop

"You dont have to be nervous for asking my time Rani , just demand it , we will surely go next week okay" he said with a smile

Anjali nodded her head smiling  ear to ear . She felt stupid as she was starting to doubt him

A week passed by in the same routine

She was very excited , Anjali packed their stuff and everything , Raja had to book tickets and she had already reminded him so she was sure he would have done that . Her Raja never forgot anything related to his, she thought with a smile

Now where was he , in 2 hours they had to leave house for the station , as he said the train will leave at 4pm for chennai , yet he was not home

She waited for another hour , but still he did not show up

oh god ! They will miss train if its anymore late

She finally called him , he did not pick up the call

Anjali called him 5 more times but still no answer

Only half an hour left for the train , and now even if they leave , it will be too late.

She could feel tears rolling down my cheeks .

He could have atleast called her !

She did not know how long she cried

it was 7 in night when she heard the door close and she woke up with a start

Anjali had fallen asleep while crying

She looked at Rajandra , who was already looking at her with a guilty expression

He was about to say something , but she just left from there , in her room and closed it not wanting to hear him anymore

She knew he will follow her and as expected he did and opened the door

"I had work Rani , I did not know how much time passed " he said looking guilty

"I called you Raja !" She said angrily

"I know , I just saw , please forgive me this ones !" he said looking at her, clasping both her hand in his

She shook her head , no.

"What should i do that you forgive me" he asked arrogantly

"Ill buy you anything"

Why does he not understand she did not want him to buy her things !

"Hmm, I want you to go on your knees and apologize" she teased, while looking terribly serious

"No way ! you know Rani I wont do that ! " he said arrogantly

She smiled looking at him , she was never able to stay angry on him for long , he would always say the same thing when she asked him to apologise like that

Looking at her smile he continued

"I am really sorry Rani , forgive me please , Ill never disappoint ever again I promise" he said kissing her forehead and hugged me, and Anjali hugged him back

only if she knew that this promise would be broken in a way , she would have never even imagined , not even in her wildest dreams
