"What is Laxman doing with you?" Rajendra asked the moment he saw them together
"He is coming along with me also my mother is coming in few days after she wraps up everything here" Anjali replied
"What nonsense!" Rajendra objected
"My mom has become old and she requires care, she has to stay with me, if you have any issues you can just leave me here" Anjali replied calmly. She was going to beat Rajendra in his own game, he thought he could coerce her, but no this time Anjali will only follow her own terms and he can do whatever and with whomever he pleases.
"Anjali I don't have any issue with Rekha ma staying with us, I have an issue with the guy behind you, why the hell is he behind you and coming from your house at such an hour?" Rajendra asked. His eyes were again shining with anger like it always did whenever he saw Lucky.
"He has agreed to stay with us, as a good friend" she said
Rajendra could see the smirk on that slimy Laxman's face, did he really think Rajendra would let him stay at his house, where his Rani would also be staying. Two years was enough of a punishment. Just the thought of them together boiled his blood. He wanted to wring Lucky's neck every time he saw him with his Rani.
"I don't allow it Rani" he said with gritted teeth
"Then you may leave Rajendra sahab, because I am not going anywhere, where my friend and mom are not welcome"
Rajendra could see , his Rani was determined she was not going to make it easy for him , she would make him bend, fine! Let this bastard come along
"I already told you I have absolutely no issues with Rekha ma residing with us in fact I was going to suggest it myself, but don't you think bringing another man in our marital home is a bit much" he said
"You are the one to talk" she scoffed
"Fine!"
Rajendra gave in he could see the smile going broader on Laxman's face the more Rani defended him
How could Rani do this? how could she take another man's side in front of him?
He opened the door of car for Rani but Laxman sat in the front seat and Rani sat behind, not uttering a single word, for that matter even Laxman did not say anything, the slimy bastard was just enjoying the show.
"Rani you should sit with me, in the front seat" Rajendra said
"I am comfortable, thank you Rajendra"
It wasn't about comfort, she was his wife, the front seat belonged to her,why was she being like that?
He did not argue further and just drove the car to their house.
The moment they reached before Rajendra could help Rani out, Laxman was already out and was holding His Rani's hand to help her out of the car and Rani had gladly accepted that hand. She was even smiling at him!
"Lets go Rani" Laxman said while leaving Rajendra to get their bags
How dare he call her Rani! Only he, Rajendra was allowed to do that! She was his Rani!
He took her bag and went inside.
She was sitting on the sofa. His Rani as always was sitting on the left side of the sofa with her cheek in her palm.
Rajendra smiled looking at her
"Rani , water for you" Laxman came out of the kitchen holding a glass of water
This is what Rajendra was supposed to do, he was the husband why was Laxman doing this! In their marital home on top of that? And why was he calling her Rani again and again and why is Rani not stopping him?
"Rani, I have brought your bags inside" Rajendra said while depositing her bags on the side, why had Rani brought so little, did she plan on leaving him some how?
"Where are my bags Rajendra? You only brought in Rani's"
This bastard, why is he calling her Rani again and again
"I am not your servant go and bring it yourself" he said
"So petty" Laxman commented under his breadth
The moment he stepped out Rajendra locked the door
Anjali saw him locking the door and immediately got up
"What the hell are you doing Rajendra?" Anjali said
He walked towards Anjali
"Why is he calling you Rani again and again, only I have that right"
"In which dream you are living in Rajendra, you list that right long long back" Anjali said calmly
Rajendra had come really close to her now and she refused to back down, she was not afraid of him and neither did she care now
"Repeat that again" he said, Anjali could see he was angry now and hurt.
"You have lost that right long back Rajendra" she repeated
And he kissed her
"Don't!" She said trying to avoid the kiss, she hit on his chest, but he was definitely stronger, his lips were moulding hers and his tongue had gained entrance in her mouth when she had gasped in shock
Her struggling seized when she felt something wet on her cheeks, it was tears, Rajendra's tears and his mouth had softened on hers it wasn't a kiss of possession but as if of relief as if he was trying to reassure himself of something, he was cherishing her with every stroke of his tongue.
He kissed her gently, finally his Rani was in his arms, he could see her when he wanted, he could touch her when he wanted and finally he was kissing her, his Rani, he had thought this day would never come,he could feel her soft skin against his, he could feel the softness of her lips against his, he could breathe in her scent again, her alluring taste, he could taste again, and she had stopped struggling, she had started kissing him back, pressing her mouth to his, the innocent way in which his Rani kissed, the way it drived him mad, but he knew he had to take it slow, he was not forgiven yet
His lips slowly parted from hers and he rested his head on her shoulder for a second and took a deep breadth, and kissed her neck slowly. He whispered in her ears then
"Rani you were always only my Rani!"
And that broke her spell, she could finally hear the banging noise coming from outside and Laxman calling out her name
She pushed Rajendra away and quickly fixed her dupatta and then took a deep breadth and went to open the door
The moment she unlocked the door, Laxman barged in and took her In his arms
"Are you alright? Did he do something to you!?" He asked scanning her from top to bottom
"I am her husband what will I do?" Rajendra asked
Laxman was looking at him suspiciously
"Come I have prepared food for you Rani" Rajendra said, he had gotten up at 4 am today to prepare her favourite dishes, he had practised them again and again, he only wanted his Rani to have the best, only Rani had cooked for them before, this was the first time he had cooked for her and he was excited to see her reactions.
"I am sorry Rajendra, Lucky and I already have plans for today, please enjoy yourself in our absence"
She took Laxman's hand in her own and left right in front of his eyes
She ignored him, his efforts to spend time with someone else! How could she?
But he had done the same, he had ignored Rani and gave Mrs.Nova priority, had she felt them same? This pain as if someone was cutting off your heart piece by piece?
