Anjali was speechless, she was amazed with beauty of it all.
There was a round table with two chairs, under a tent like structure decorated with tiny yellow fairy lights, and it was smelling amazing mostly the food was all her favourite if the smell was anything to go by.
The bushes near the pond was again shimmering with tiny golden lights, giving it an ethereal quality, while the shine of the moon and the stars reflecting on the pond made the ponds look woven in sliver.
There was a small sign board near the pond, in the wood it was engraved
"AnjaliRajendra"
She was overwhelmed with beauty of it all, and then she felt, a pair of arms hugging her from behind, pulling her towards a heart chest, the same place where she ones felt the most secure
"Happy Anniversary" Raja murmured in her ear, and kissed the shell of her ear, and she let the tear slip from her eyes, which she had been holding till now
"I know Rani, I spoilt everything, but this one chance, is all I ask, to celebrate our anniversary, like I always wanted to celebrate with you, will you grant me this wish?" He asked her, and Anjali just nodded still overwhelmed to form any words.
Rajendra held her hand and guided her towards the tent, and made her sit there, and then he sat opposite to her and smiled at her, his first happy smile after a long time and Anjali smiled back
Today Anjali will give him this chance today, they will just be Raja and Rani, just for today she wanted to feel loved, and today was their anniversary which she had promptly forgotten
"But Raja I did not prepare anything!" She exclaimed
And he chuckled, looking at her expression
"You being here, is enough of a present Rani, you don't know since when I wanted to give this gift to you, do you remember our first anniversary?" He asked
"Yes, when you had got upset with me, and had not talked to me for three months" Anjali complained
Rajendra smiled again, but this time his eyes held sadness
"Because Rani, I had prepared this for you," he said gesturing to their surroundings "but you had gone to visit Lucky, as he had conveniently met with an accident on the very same day" Rajendra said
Anjali gasped, she had no idea, she had thought how could Rajendra be soo insensitive as to someone else's pain, he had not even wished her that day, even though she had dropped countless hints about it, and he had come home super drunk the next day at 4 am
"Why did you never tell me Raja?" She asked
"I had believed Rani, that you would come when I had called you, no matter what, and when you did not, I was hurt and disappointed, and, and.... insecure" Rajendra confessed
Anjali had no idea about this, she had been hurt thinking he was an insensitive jerk!
"Anyways Rani, now please, enjoy the food, and tell me how do you like it? It is all your favourite!" He said, as he forwarded a morsel towards her, she took a bite and moaned as the flavours danced on her tongue
Rajendra was just watching her, she looked soo happy finally, but he was not done yet, this was his second chance and he would ace it
Ones they finished their food, he asked for the plates to be cleared, and stood up
Anjali was watching Rajendra, he was her Raja, she could see it now, but not soo easy she would definitely trouble him, but not today, specially not today
As they finished their food, she saw Rajendra stand up, and come towards her, he knelt beside her
"Dance with me?" He asked offering her, his hand
And she took it, he guided her towards an open area, and soon the area was filled with beautiful fireworks, painting the sky with thousand of colors, and then the song kya mohabat hai started playing
Anjali was looking at Raja, while he just smiled, and took her in her arms, and started twirling to music

Anjali was lost in the music and the sway of the Dance, and Raja who was looking at her, with and ocean full of love in his eyes, when the music suddenly stopped, Anjali looked at Raja waiting for him to get the music started again, when he started singing

She was in his arms, by the time he stopped singing.
Her head was on his chest listening to his heartbeat
"Rani, my childhood was yours, my youth was yours and my remaining years are yours, they have always been, I know there are things we need to clear, but remember this Rani, I was always yours and this place which was ours is now yours, and Rani, this is yours!"
He said as he handed her some papers
