Back in National City Maggie is waking up in her bed beside some blonde haired woman with blue eyes she met last night at some club. That's her life now. Work. Club. Hookup. Repeat. She slips out of the bed and heads to the kitchen to see her phone blowing up. "Ugh..." Maggie groans as she picks it up and begins scrolling through social media. 'CEO'S KARA DANVERS AND LENA LUTHOR Set to be married at their quiet Ireland home next month. Family say that it's been a long road for the two CEO's. "I'm just happy they've finally come back together. They're perfect for one another." Alex Danvers says. When the proud mother was asked about the engagement and wedding she had nothing but good things to say about Lena Luthor. "Lena is a match made in heaven for Kara and my granddaughter Alura. Lena is smart and driven, and won't hold Kara or Alura back in life. That's what Kara needed and in Lena she got everything and much more." Eliza Danvers stated. Well you heard it here folks! Kara Danvers and Lena Luthor will be married from all of us at Cat Co. International Media we congratulations them and wish them nothing but years of happiness.'
Maggie reread the article multiple times as she looked at the photos. All colored ones. The rings were huge. Alura looked so happy as she sat with Kara and Lena on the sofa. Maggie didn't even notice that her one night stand was leaving. "Sooo..." The blonde woman began. "Nope. I don't want to see you again. You may see yourself out." Maggie snapped. "Fine...you were pretty lousy anyways..." The woman snickered as she walked out of the apartment.
Maggie sank into her sofa and clicked on the television only to be disappointed by the live interview that was happening inside Kara's house. "And we're here with the happily engaged couple. I'm Lois Lane, and with me is a small camera crew to interview Kara and Lena." The woman stated. "Yea...yea...of course Clark and Lois would be there...fucking figures...." Maggie groaned as she sat back and listened. "We weren't planning on doing a formal interview however, we decided that it would be good for both of us to share our story so that there's no rumors flying about." Kara began. "And how did you two meet?" Lois asked. "We met...a few years ago actually. Kara was still just a reporter for Cat Co then. When she came into my office to interview me about the challenger explosion I was instantly drawn to her bright eyes and smile. A friendship was born that day..." Lena added. "Over the next few years our friendship blossomed into coveted feelings for one another, secrets were shared and some kept out of fear for being rejected. When I found out I was pregnant with Alura...I was scared to tell Lena...however by then we were already in a relationship with one another. Thank goodness my pregnancy was easy to hide from the world. After my daughter was born Alex and Sam helped me take care of her when I was working. I had planned to tell Lena about her one afternoon when I came to see her for lunch, however she had already found out and left for Metropolis without even a goodbye." Kara added.
"A decision I truly regret making. It was while I was gone that Kara made her decision to become CEO of Cat Co and move to Ireland. It would be four long years without Kara's presence in my life. And during that time my feelings for Kara only grew deeper and stronger. I knew I'd have to do a lot of work to make up for hurting Kara the way I did." Lena replied. "It was at the welcome home party Alex and Sam had thrown that I saw Lena again. When she walked through the door my heart skipped a beat. Alura was nervous to meet her however, but she quickly warmed up to her, which I was glad of. After that night I began going apartment hunting with a former friend of ours and wound up seeing Lena again." Kara added.
"Yea...we were actually neighbors for a while as we figured out our feelings again. It happened after the gala. I told Kara that I never stopped loving her. And Kara said that she never stopped loving me. And well with a kick in the ass from Eliza we got back together and never looked back." Lena stated. At that point Alura crawled up into Lena's lap and hugged her tight. "And how do you feel about getting a new mommy Alura?" Lois asked. The young girl thought for a long moment before replying. "Lena's always been my other mommy. Now we just gonna have the same last name." Alura stated. With that the interview came to a close. "That's it folks! Alura Danvers has spoken. I'm Lois Lane for The Daily Planet! Have a good rest of your day Metropolis!" With that the broadcast returned to the regularly scheduled program. Maggie saw red as she shut oft the television and got ready for work.
Back in Ireland Lois was sitting with her family enjoying a light lunch after sending the camera people away. "That was fun. I'm glad you two changed your mind about the interview." Lois stated. "Well...we knew we couldn't do it with Cat Co or it would seem too conservative and one sided. So we thought you'd be the best choice to do the live interview." Kara stated. "Well I'm glad to have helped. And Clark was just excited to see everyone again." Lois stated as their eyes caught Clark throwing Alura up into the air and catching her causing the girl to laugh. They'd did it. They told the world their story and now next month they'd be Mrs. And Mrs. Luthor-Danvers.
