The weekend came again and while Kara was sifting through Alura's 'winter break' paperwork, Lena, Alura and Lori were all in the living room playing with balls. The three of them were rolling the ball back and forth and laughing amongst themselves. "Lee...can you come here for a minute?" Kara asked. "Sure hun. Alura watch your little sister ok..I'll be right back." Lena said. "Ok momma." Alura replied with a smile.

"Whats up love?" Lena asked as she sat down beside Kara at the table. "Look at this..our daughter has been awarded the student of the semester." Kara said passing the paper to Lena. "Oh wow! We should get this framed." Lena replied. "Oh...and here's her schedule for winter break. She has ridding lessons two days a week for the three weeks shes off...then it's Christmas...and what are we doing for Christmas?" Kara asked. "Do you want to host it here?" Lena asked. "We can..." Kara replied. "Ok good. So when do you want to go Christmas shopping?" Lena asked. "How about we go next weekend when mom takes the girls for the weekend." Kara replied. "That will work...it's also one week till Sam and Alex's baby shower...so we'll have to go shopping for that too." Lena replied. "Oh yes thats right...maybe we should just shop for that first...then wait till another weekend to do our Christmas shopping...I  mean we still have thanksgiving to get through." Kara said. "That sounds better...this way we won't have to rush through the malls." Lena said.

"Momma...Lori fell over." Alura said. "Is she ok?" Lena asked. "Yes...she just fell on her butt." Alura replied. "Oh..well she's ok then...just keep an eye on her ok...mommy and I will be over in a minute." Lena replied. "So..are we hosting thanksgiving too?" Kara asked. "Probably...don't worry we can go shopping for it tomorrow with the kids." Lena said. "Yea...that sounds good...no thats settled...let's go enjoy our kids before I've got to make lunch." Kara said as she stood up taking Lena's hand and walking over to the living room.
