Long Road Home

Today everyone was out on the lake enjoying the sunshine on their rented boat. Currently Lena is sitting in Kara's lap in a chair next to everyone else. "Best decision ever." Kara whispered. "What was?" Lena asked. "Doing this, coming here for the summer." Kara replied. "I agree. Alura loves soaking up all the attention." Lena cooed as they look at Alura who's diving off into the lake with Alex.  "You two gonna get in the water?" Eliza asked. "Lee?" Kara whispered. "Only if you stay right beside me the whole time." Lena replied. "Of course darling." Kara replied.

Slowly they got into the cold lake water and swam around. "This is nice."Lena whispered her arms around Kara's neck placing a kiss on her lips. "Mmmm yes it is." Kara replied. "Gross!" Alura groaned as she swam around Alex. "That what mommies do when they're stupidly in love." Eliza said. "It's still yucky!" Alura said. Lena and Kara burst out laughing at their daughter. "One day you'll be in love too darling. Then you won't think it's gross, or yucky." Kara replied. Alura rolled her eyes at her mom's and continued bobbing around Alex.

A few hours later everyone was back in the house relaxing in the large living room. "Who wants to go out tonight for dinner?" Lena asked. Everyone nodded yes to the question. "Ok good! There's gonna be a firework show tonight seeing as it's the fourth and all, Lena and I thought we'd go to dinner and watch the fireworks show. There's gonna be a few different places to eat from including a crawfish and crab boil buffet." Kara explained. "Sounds good to us!" Alex said smiling. "Ok, well let's go get into some festive clothing then!" Lena added.

Everyone separated to head off upstairs to get ready for the night out. Lena and Kara grabbed their extra large blanket and chairs to use at the fireworks show along with some light sweaters for themselves and Alura who they know will get cold by tonight.
