(Y/n) took a seat under one of the trees, placing the few birds that she had been able to scare up, next to her on the ground. It had begun to grow dark, yet just like Gandalf, she was not in the mood to deal with the stubbornness of dwarves again, just yet. It was nice to be on her own, surrounded by the silence instead of being bombarded with the copious amounts of sounds and smells that the dwarves seemed to be able to produce. Nice to feel the warm breeze make its way through the trees and kiss her skin.

She would do this sometimes, back in the Shire; just get up and walk for hours, before taking a seat under some large tree and then closing her eyes and drifting off into a peaceful sleep. A large pie and vegetables made by Bilbo, waiting for her, when she finally got home. The aroma of her brother's food suddenly filling her senses and making her stomach grumble slightly. (Y/n) having quite forgotten that she hadn't eaten since before they set off that morning. Yet she still wasn't quite ready to have to deal with Thorin again, just yet. The dwarrowdam sure that he would have more than a little to say about her leaving the camp; and she was actually surprised that no one had come to follow her, so that they could speak to her without Bilbo being by her side. So, (Y/n) was going to enjoy this moment; a sigh leaving her lips, before closing her eyes.

                                                             >>-----------------------------------<<

(Y/n) opened her eyes, her brows furrowing as she looked around; no longer was she sat on the grass underneath the tree with the overhanging canopy. No longer could she feel the soft breeze blow through her hair. No, now she was somewhere she hadn't dreamt of since she was a child. The gleaming city cut from the living rock itself, that glistened with streaks of silver. Its callosal pillars and vaulted ceilings rising so far above, that she still felt as though she were little more than the tiniest of bugs in comparison, despite how much she had grown since she had last dreamt of this place. Slowly, she made her way along dimly lit corridor, a gasp leaving her lips as suddenly she found herself in a huge open expanse; found herself surrounded by dwarves of all kinds. None of them seeming to notice her, as they went about their day.

Slowly she made her way through the city, taking in all she could. The carved statues of dwarven warriors that towered over her, the only things that seemed to be watching, as she let her feet lead her. (Y/n) had no idea why her mind would bring her to such a place. Until starting on the journey with the dwarves, the only places she had seen, were the Shire, and Bree; and this was certainly not Bree. So where this could be........yet she felt as though a part of her belonged there. That this place was in a strange way, well........home. The reluctant dwarrowdam stopping when she came upon a pair of huge doors, that were decorated with elaborate metal work. Something about them calling to her, forcing her to come out of the shadows, her hand reaching out and carefully pushing one of the large ingresses, open. It not making a sound, as it slowly moved. (Y/n) stepping through the gap, and into a magnificent room that was lit by burning torches; a large dwarf appearing to be smiling at her, as she moved further in.

She had to say that he was a handsome thing, tall for a dwarf and broad in the shoulders. And there was something else too.........something familiar.......a look of........of Thorin, dare she say. His strong, rough hand reaching out and pointing to something at her side. (Y/n) turning to see a mirror, her brows furrowing as she saw not only her reflection, but a crown and seven stars hanging above her head. The same crown and stars that she used to see in the dark blue lake, when she was little.

"Durin's blood, will out........." A voice suddenly said from behind her. (Y/n) turning to see the room was now nothing more than rubble. Her eyes widening as before her loomed a creature bigger than anything that she had ever seen. A creature of darkness, shadows......and fire..........

                                                        >>---------------------------------<<

(Y/n) sat bolt upright, her hand gripping at her chest as her heart threatened to explode, a thin sheen of sweat covering her forehead, as she did her best to catch her breath. She had never dreamt about all those things before; the great city, yes; but the rest, no. And certainly not the dwarf or the terrible thing that she had turned to see. The dwarrowdam not sure what to think; wondering if perhaps when she got a chance, she should mention her dream to Gandalf; (Y/n) sure that if anyone could make sense of them, it would be the wizard.

Suddenly her stomach grumbled loudly. A laugh leaving her lips, as she did her best to shake off the dream and slowly got to her feet. The moon was high in the sky now, and she was sure that she would be reprimanded by more than just her brother when she got back to the camp; but go back she must. (Y/n) picking up the birds that she had killed, throwing them over her shoulder before heading off to see if Gandalf had also made his way back to join the dwarves and Bilbo.
