Running, that was what they were doing now. (Y/n) doing all she could to keep a hold of Bilbo, as they did their best to keep up with the dwarves and Gandalf.

As the Company had emerged for the troll hoard, she had smiled when she had seen the new swords that the wizard and Thorin had. Her smile getting broader, as Gandalf passed a smaller sword to Bilbo. The seer able to understand the hobbits hesitation about taking it; but she felt happier that he had it. (Y/n) knowing that he would need it; and even though he was not a warrior like the dwarves, she knew that when the time came, he would prove his worth. Yet what she hadn't expected, was for the wizard to hand her a dagger; the piece, though small, was quite beautiful. Gandalf telling her that just like the weapons that he, Thorin and Bilbo had, it was of elvish make, and would glow blue when orcs and the like, were close by. (Y/n), like Bilbo, feeling the need to tell the wizard that she didn't need it, or know how to use it; but the Ishtari had given her such a caring look, and the piece was so perfect, she had not been able to refuse. Though before she could thank him; the visitor that she had seen in her last vision, had burst into the clearing with a sled pulled by large rabbits. The strange wizard, that Gandalf introduced as Radagast the Brown, smiling at her politely, before explaining why he was there. (Y/n) wishing that she had also seen the wargs and their riders, that had come to attack them, when she had touched the stone troll; seen the dark creatures that had been initially led away by the brown wizard, and his team of Rhosgobel Rabbits. But the orcs and their mounts had not been fooled for long; the evil beings now on their tails. The dwarves fighting off the beasts; Oin shooting his catapult, while Kili used his bow, to take down as many as he could, with his arrows. (Y/n) not hearing the calls of those around her; not hearing Thorin barking out his orders. Only able to think that she and Bilbo had to keep running; that she had to get the hobbit somewhere safe. Yet suddenly, she found herself on the floor; (Y/n) cursing at the stones, at her own feet, as she looked up to see a warg quickly making its way towards her and Bilbo.

"Bilbo, go............" She told the hobbit. Bilbo just looking at her in disbelief and shaking his head.

"No, no.........I am not leaving you.........."

"Run, Bilbo. Please.......I will be fine. Get to Gandalf..........." (Y/n) told him, pushing him away as best she could, before she pulled her foot from between two rocks.

She didn't know whether she would be alright, or not; and she hated to lie to the sweet little man. But she had to. She had to do something. The seer giving him a pleading look; none of the dwarves seeming to notice that she was not with them, as Bilbo forced himself to leave her. Her heart feeling heavy but relieved, as he hastily made his way towards the others. (Y/n) getting to her feet, an awful pain striking up her leg, as she placed her foot to the ground. Yet she would not be deterred. If the gods had chosen that she would not live long enough to save Thorin from his possible fate, she would at least do everything that she could to save Bilbo now. The seer standing her ground, holding out the dagger in her hand and closing her eyes, as the beast made to pounce. And then............

(Y/n) opened one eye tentatively; her heart about to burst from the frantic beating, as the warg just stood there and looked at her. The creature seeming to have turned from a being that was nothing but evil and desired naught but their blood, to now look like a puppy that wanted her to love it. The beast nudging at her outstretched hand with its nose. The seer opening her other eye and stepping forward, pushing the dagger back into her belt, before raising her hand and patting the warg carefully. Its eyes closing, its head tilting to the side, as she moved her fingers through its dark, dirty, coarse coat. A sudden sound from behind the animal causing it to turn; the orc that was running towards her with his sword in the air, quickly finding itself at the teeth end of its own mount. The orc letting out a blood curdling sound as the warg almost bit him in two, before turning back to her; stepping closer, then nudging her hand once again. (Y/n) doing the only thing that she could do at that moment, her fingers finding a spot behind it ear. And then.........

A sudden wave of nausea hit her, as an axe appeared, seemingly from nowhere, and lodged itself right between the animal's eyes. The beast dropping dead right in front of her.

"Lass.........." A gruff voice called out. Dwalin coming up from behind her, pulling his weapon from the warg's head, before turning to her and grabbing her hand.

"I hurt my ankle; I can't run. Just go Dwalin, I'll be fine. Please, leave me.........." She told the large dwarf. Dwalin just shaking his head and grumbling something in what (Y/n) was sure was the language of the dwarves, before he grabbed her and threw her over his shoulder. The seer able to do nothing but hold on tight, as he hurried with all speed to join the rest of the Company.
