(Y/n) couldn't help but chuckle, as Bilbo sneezed and pulled a handkerchief from his pocket. The hobbit blushing, as he saw her looking at him.

"So, you remembered it..........?"

"I did; but how...............?"

"When I touched your hands last night........."

"But I didn't make up my mind to sign the contract until this morning......."

"That is very true; but even for that brief moment that I touched your hands, I saw that you would sign the contract. That you would run to join us, and the young princes would pull you up onto the pony. I then saw you sneeze and say that you were having a reaction to the horsehair; and you would try and stop the company so that you could return home to retrieve your handkerchief. And given the reactions I witnessed, I thought it was better to warn you about it, than you don't become any more unpopular with Master Oakenshield, than you and I already appear to be." (Y/n) explained. The seer looking and feeling no more comfortable amongst the dwarves, or atop her horse, than poor Bilbo seemed to be.

When she had followed behind Gandalf to come face to face with all the dwarves, the night before; all she had been able to do was stand there, as the one called Thorin had looked her up and down, before turning to mutter something to the others. The wizard had done his best to tell her about the males that she had seen in her vision. About the earth dwellers, that up until that night, she had never seen in person, just like with hobbits. He had warned her that it would not be easy, that they could be suspicious of those that were not of their kind; that they would appear rough and gruff, yet she still hadn't been prepared. It not that they scared her...........well, perhaps they did a little; though it had certainly helped when Gandalf had placed a reassuring hand her shoulder. No, it was more because they doubted her. That even though she offered to see some of his future if he so wished, Thorin had refused; muttering under his breath that her abilities were unnatural, and that perhaps she was some kind of evil witch. No better than something he had called, orcs; whatever they were. His doubt seeming to hurt her worse than anything he could call her.

"Gandalf told me that I would not be accepted readily, when he brought me to the Shire. That the dwarves would not look kindly on me, because not only am I not a warrior; not only do I know nothing of the world beyond the place that I grew up, other than what I have seen in my visions; but I am also a female daughter of man. None of which seem to be good in the eyes of our travelling companions............."

"Then you and I are two of a kind, Miss (Y/n). I have never fought in my life; nor do I know anything of the world beyond the borders of the Shire, other than what I have read about in my books, as I sat in my chair, next to the fire. And I had not met a dwarf myself, until they all invaded my home last night. But even if they don't like you, I know that Gandalf does, and I.........I certainly do." Bilbo confessed. A blush coming to his and (Y/n)'s cheeks at his words.

"And I like you too, Master Baggins. You make me glad that Gandalf brought me along. And I believe that I can deal with the dwarves, as long as you and I are friends........."

"I would like that very much..........."

"(Y/n)!" The sound of her name making the seer and Bilbo recall that they were not alone. (Y/n) trying to not make it obvious that she had taken a liking to the sweet hobbit, as Gandalf came to join them.

"If I may take you away from Bilbo for a moment. I would like to speak with you." Gandalf smiling at the pair, as (Y/n) gave Bilbo a look, before she and the wizard fell back to the rear of the Company.

"I was wondering if you had seen anything..........?" Gandalf enquired, when he believed that he and (Y/n) were out of earshot.

"I did, last night. I saw a place, more beautiful than any I have ever seen in a vision before. Water seemed to fall from the sky, as she sun glinted off the buildings. A sense of peace, tranquillity and safety seemed to surround me as I looked over the scene. You will lead us there, though Thorin will not be happy to see this place; yet the one that he needs to read that map dwells in that kingdom, and without him, they will not know how to enter the Mountain that they wish to reclaim............."

"Good, good..........." Gandalf smiled, as (Y/n) finished explaining what she had seen.

"What you saw, was Imladris; or Rivendell as it is known to others. It is the First Homely House west of the wild lands of Rhovanion, over the Misty Mountains. The realm of the half-elf Lord, Lord Elrond. And you are right, he is the one that we must see, so that we can understand Thorin's grandfather's map. And you are also correct that he will not be happy about it. So, I would appreciate it, if you didn't say anything to any of the others.........even Bilbo........"

"I could not do that, even if I wanted to, Gandalf. Not one of them has spoken to me yet. I though being in the temple was lonely enough; but if it weren't for you and Bilbo.........I did not know that one could feel so alone when one was surrounded by some many............"

"Do not worry, my dear. I am sure that that will change very soon. In fact, Kili and Fili have already asked me more about you. But until they, or any of the others summon up enough courage to come and speak to you; perhaps you should stay with Bilbo. You seem to be getting on very well.........." Gandalf chuckling, as yet another blush came to her cheeks. It nice to see that after all those years in the temple, she had finally found herself a friend. The wizard sure that the two would help one another realise what they were both truly capable of. (Y/n) nodding in agreement, before geeing on her horse, so that she could rejoin Bilbo.
