Everything in bold italics is Khuzdûl.
(Y/n) looked at herself in the mirror. The elven maids that Lord Elrond had sent to aid her, had done their best to tame her wild hair; yet despite their efforts, it looked as it had, before they had started. Not that the princess cared; she liked the fact that she had inherited that part of her father. That all the little braids that the members of her family had decorated it with, had not been spoiled. (Y/n) standing proudly, as she glanced between the elven gown and Dwarvish hair. It at times like this that she really remembered who and what she was. The child of two great people, of two great kingdoms, and she couldn't be happier about it. Thanking Mahal and the other Vala for bringing her mother and father, together.
"Come.........." She called out, as someone knocked on the door. The princess smiling warmly, as Glóin and Gimli made their way into the room.
"Lass.........." Glóin began, as (Y/n) walked over to them both. The old dwarf taking her hand in his and bringing it up to her lips.
"I swear ya get more beautiful with every moment that passes. Ya look every inch tha Jewel of the Mountain........" He continued. (Y/n) rolling her eyes, as Gimli muttered something to his father, about keeping her away from the eyes of the other men, that were in the realm of the half-elf.
Even though her uncle and the dwarves may still not see eye to eye all of the time, of course Legolas had told both Glóin and Gimli about her brief..........very brief interaction with the man from Gondor. And now that he had, the protectiveness of the two dwarves would undoubtedly become more suffocating. (Y/n) only able to imagine what her father had told the two males about looking after her, before they had left the Mountain; especially given what it had taken for the princess and her mother, to talk Thorin into letting her come for the council, in the first place. Celeblaswen telling Thorin that he we still as stubborn as the day that she had met him. That just like with her, the king was underestimating their daughter's abilities; and even though (Y/n) was indeed half dwarf, and she knew that all he and the rest of the Company wanted to do was look after her, their daughter was also half elf, and just like her, it was only right that (Y/n) went out and found her way; found what she was meant to do, and be. Though if another male were to look at her, (Y/n) had a feeling that she would be sent home, before she had even got a chance to find out what Lord Elrond's council, was about.
"Thank you, uncle Glóin........." She replied, leaning down and kissing the old dwarf on the cheek. A smile making its way onto her lips, as she kissed Gimli too, and could swear that a blush came to his cheeks.
"Now, can we go to dinner? I am starving, and I promised two little hobbits, that they could sit next to me at the meal.........." (Y/n) continued. Her smile only growing as she saw the two dwarves look at one another, as she sauntered passed them and out of the room.
"Hobbits........what hobbits.........?"
"And what do ya mean, two...........?" The father and son called out, before quickly following after the princess.

Boromir had been watching the beautiful woman that he had bumped into earlier that day, all evening. She more exquisite now, than she even had been when they had met. He had done his best to find out more about her, but whoever he tried to ask, merely seemed to brush off his question, before nodding politely and leaving him to his continued frustrations. So now that she was sat in a chair between some elves and dwarves, he couldn't help but find himself more intrigued by her. His brows furrowing, as he watched her wave at the five halflings that sat at a table on the other side of the room.
"Quite a sight, is she not.........." A voice suddenly came. The son of the Steward of Gondor turning to find the half-elven lord of the realm smiling softly as he watched the young woman. This the first time that Boromir had actually been able to see Lord Elrond, never mind speak to him.
"And quite a rarity, in our world.......... though I know her uncle and grandfather are happier that she takes more after her mother than her father......."
"Who is she..........?" The captain enquired, as he looked between the peredhel and the lady.
"That is the Princess (Y/n). Known to dwarf, elf and the men alike, as the Jewel of the Mountain. Second child, and only daughter of King Thorin, and Queen Celeblaswen, the daughter of King Thranduil of Mirkwood........" Elrond explained. Boromir looking at the lady in disbelief.
He had of course heard of the Jewel; knew of the tales of her great beauty. But never once had he ever expected to meet her in person. The dwarves and elves said to keep both of the children of Thorin Oakenshield, protected from the world, especially given what the Durin folk had been through over the years. She and her brother said to be the ones that had brought an end to the conflict between the two races from which they were descended.
"She........she is the Jewel of the Mountain.......? Then the elf, the dwarves..........?"
"The elf is Legolas, son of Thranduil and (Y/n)'s blood uncle. And the dwarves.......the elder is Glóin, part of Thorin's Company that reclaimed the Mountain from the dragon. And the other, is his son, Gimli; both of which the princess sees as kin to her. So, if you wish to be able to speak to her, I would suggest that perhaps you should wait until they are all preoccupied, before you try to introduce yourself........" Elrond continued; Boromir slightly taken aback by his words. By the fact that the elf was actually encouraging him to speak to the beauteous maid; but he was not about to complain. The Captain of the White Tower nodding in thanks, before Elrond did the same and then glided away, leaving Boromir to continue to watch the Jewel and her kin, while waiting for the right moment to speak to her.
