"Radagast." (Y/n) sighed, as she moved from her protective stance in front of Bilbo.

"Radagast the brown......." Gandalf continued, as Bilbo and the Company stared at the strange visitor. Gandalf making his way over to his fellow wizard.

"What on earth are you doing here..........?"

"I was looking for you, Gandalf. And finding (Y/n) with you, is even more fortuitous........" Radagast began, as he looked between his fellow wizard and the white eyed Ranger.

"Somethings wrong. Something is terribly wrong.........."

"Yes..........?" Gandalf enquired. Radagast about to speak again, but then........nothing. It obvious that the absent-minded wizard had lost his train of thought. Not that (Y/n) would have expected anything else. For as sweet as Radagast was, he was not the sharpest of the Istar.

"(Y/n)......?"

"Yes, Bilbo." The Ranger turning her unseeing gaze to the little man by her side.

"Is that..........is that bird........?"

"Bird droppings down the side of his face.......? Yes. Radagast has a tendency of letting birds' nest under his hat. He probably has a small family living under there as we speak. And well........he never seems to notice or care about when or where they do their......... business. Believe it or not, as eccentric as people may think Gandalf is, he is quite normal and boring when compared to dear old Radagast." (Y/n) replied with a soft chuckle, as she patted him on the shoulder.

"Just give me a minute..........Oooooooo.......I had the thought and now I've lost it. It was right there.......on the tip of my tongue." Radagast finally continued. Sounding a little frustrated at his own forgetfulness.

"Oh, its not a thought at all........" The brown wizards' words coming out distorted as he slowly stuck out his tongue.

"It's a silly old........stick insect." He continued. (Y/n) only able to imagine what was going on, as she heard a murmur from the dwarves. Knowing that it was not too much to think of Radagast with the insect in his mouth.

"(Y/n)." Gandalf suddenly called out.

"I think Radagast and I need to speak. I would like you to come too." The wizard continued. (Y/n) nodding her head. The three ignoring the grumblings of Thorin, as they took themselves just out of earshot of the Company.

                                                      >>-------------------------------<<

"The Green Wood is sick, Gandalf." Radagast explained. The smell of Gandalf's Old Toby filling the air as he and (Y/n) listened.

"A darkness has fallen over it......Nothing grows anymore, at least nothing good. The air is foul with decay. But worse are the webs........."

"Webs......?" Gandalf interrupted. (Y/n) able to hear him moving around in the bracken that surrounded them, as she stayed sat atop a low branch.

"What do you mean..........?"

"Spiders, Gandalf. Giant ones. Some kind of spawn of Ungoliant, or I am not a wizard. I followed their trail. They came from Dol Guldur.........."

"Dol Guldur? But the old fortress is abandoned............"

"No, Gandalf, it is not. A dark power dwells in there, such as I have never felt before. It is the shadow of an ancient horror. One that can summon the spirits of the dead." Radagast continued. (Y/n) suddenly feeling her heart beat a little quicker at his words.

"I saw him, Gandalf, from out of the darkness. A Necromancer has come." Radagast suddenly jumping, as if scared by something that only he could see.

"Sorry....." He apologised. (Y/n) slowly removing her hand away from the hilt of her sword.

"Try a little Old Toby. It'll help settle your nerves." Gandalf replied. Cleaning off the end of his pipe with his beard, before handing it to Radagast.

"Now.......the Necromancer........Are you sure........?" Gandalf continued. (Y/n) hoping beyond hope that Radagast was wrong. The Ranger feeling a shudder go through her spine, before she jumped down from the branch, and made her way over to where the two wizards stood.

"That is not from the world of the living.........." (Y/n) reaching out her hand at Radagast's words and touching what he had been just placed in Gandalf's palms. The Ranger suddenly falling to her knees, as an image filled her mind's eye.

"(Y/n).........?"

"He.......he's right, Gandalf." (Y/n) managed to say, as she did her best to shake the vision from her mind.

"I......I saw him..........a black figure. He was surrounded by flames......calling out my name. And what else slipped from his tongue.......it was Black Speech, Gandalf." The Ranger explained, as she allowed Gandalf to help her to her feet. A sudden howl catching her and the wizard's attention. (Y/n) quickly making her way back to Bilbo and the others.

"Was that a wolf......are....are there wolves out there?" Bilbo asked, as (Y/n) came to his side and pulled out her sword.

"Wolves........no that is not a wolf." One of the dwarves said, before she could reply. (Y/n) turning as she heard a noise from behind her. Bringing up her weapon and pushing it into the creature that had attempted to creep up on them.

"Warg scouts........." Thorin announced. As he drew his blade out of one of the foul beasts.

"Which means an orc pack is not far behind........."

"Orc pack........?" Bilbo asked in disbelief. His hand holding onto (Y/n)'s sleeve.

"Who did you tell about your quest.......beyond you kin?" Gandalf suddenly demanded to know from Thorin. (Y/n) training her ears on the trees that surrounded them. Waiting for some more movement.

"No one............."

"Who did you tell...........?"

"No one. I swear.........." Thorin protested in reply.

"What in Durin's name is going on.........?"

"You are being hunted, Master Thorin. Hunted............" (Y/n) told him. The Ranger finally realising why Gandalf had come to find her. Finally realising that this little quest, was going to be far more dangerous than she had thought.
