Boromir made his way through the halls of the half-elven lord's home, his eye wide with wonder at the breathtaking beauty of Rivendell. He was sure that his brother, Faramir, would have been far better to send on such a diplomatic mission; yet he knew that their father would never have trusted Faramir with such a thing. In fact, he would never trust Faramir with anything. Boromir hating leaving his younger brother so soon after their victory at Osgiliath, yet what choice had he had. What his father, what the Steward of Gondor wished, he was avowed to obey. And that was why he was here, so far from the white city, so far from his people, his men. Though he did have to confess that it was not just the splendour of the elven kingdom that made him glad that he had been the one to journey from Minas Tirith; the beauty of the female elves that seemed to glide along in quiet elegance, was also bringing a smile to his lips.

Suddenly, he knocked into something; the Captain of the White Tower turning. His eyes growing wide, as he realised that it had not been something he had walked into, but someone one. A female dressed in travelling clothes, with a mane of thick, unruly dark hair, that appeared to be braided in places and secured with golden beads.

"My apologies my lady. Please, let me help you............." Boromir said, as he held out his hand for the woman to take. The breath leaving in his lungs, as she looked at him and smiled slightly. The magnificence of Rivendell, the prettiness of its women, fading into insignificance as the female that still sat on the pale marble floor, continued to stare up at him.

He had never seen her like, before. Even after just having been unceremoniously knocked from her feet by his clumsiness, there was still a regal air about her. An aura of breeding that told the High Warden of the White Tower, she was no simple servant in the house of the peredhel. Though who and what she really was, was a different thing all together; Boromir only sure that she was no daughter of men. His heart jumping as she finally took his hand and allowed him to help her to her feet. The beauteous female looking up at him, as he continued to gently grip her hand.

Now she was back to her feet, he could establish that she stood a head shorter than he did; and given that, and her slightly stronger built form, Boromir was surprised the see the elven ears that had finally been revealed by the mass of hair. Though the other factors he had noticed, would suggest that she did not just have the blood of the immortals flowing through her veins. The captain presuming that she must be some kind of peredhel, like Lord Elrond. Yet as he looked into the deep, tranquil pools that were her eyes, he found that he cared little for the knowledge of what she was; no, now all he wanted was to know her name.

(Y/n) huffed slightly, at the view of the hand. The dwarf part of her wanting to knock it away and tell the person that she didn't need any help; that she was no weak woman that required a man's assistance. Yet her much more diplomatic, elven side told her to graciously take the offer and then apologise for not having been looking where she was going. The princess deciding on the latter, given that she was in the realm of Lord Elrond, as an emissary of her mother and father. It not good to have the only daughter of the King and Queen under the Mountain being so ungracious. That, and she was sure that if she were rude, it would get back to her uncle Legolas and to Glóin and Gimli too. (Y/n) finally looking up to see the owner of the hand. A slight smile pulling at her lips, as she did so.

The man before her was handsome, there was no denying it; ruggedly so. Some may even say beautiful in a certain light. Though he was not as rugged as the likes of her father or her dwarven uncles; nor as beautiful as her uncle Legolas and her grandfather; but it was obvious that he was no dwarf or elf. It obvious that he was a son of men. Though from where he hailed.........(Y/n) finally taking the hand and allowing the man to help her to her feet. Her brows furrowing slightly, as he continued to grip her hand, and look into her eyes. The princess finding that he was even taller than he had appeared when she had been on the floor, as he looked down at her. The trimmed beard that graced his visage reminding her of Kili's. Her aunt's youngest son still choosing to keep his short, while his older brother now sported the most glorious of blonde beards, that was littered here and there with beads; including some that he had allowed her to braid in herself, when she was just a dwarfling. He and her father always taking great delight in telling her that if it had been up to her, both of their beards, and those of Dwalin and Balin, would have been a mass of jewels. (Y/n) shocked to find her heart beating much quicker than it normally did, as she looked up into his blue green eyes.

"Forgive me, my lady. I should have been watching where I was going........." The man continued, as he brought her hand up to his lips to kiss; yet before he could do that, before she could tell him that, no, no, it was she who had not been looking where she was going, a cough caught their attention. (Y/n) and the man turning to see Legolas making his way over to them.

"I came to find you, dear one. Glóin and Gimli are looking for you. I think we should go to them before they tear down Imladris around Lord Elrond's ears, to find you." The Mirkwood prince told her in her mother's tongue, as he held out his hand for her to take. (Y/n) nodding, before she slowly removed her hand from the man's palm and placed it into her uncles. Legolas simply nodding at the confused looking man, before leading her away. Leaving Boromir with more questions than answers, and without a name for the rare beauty.
