(Y/n) sat with her head in her hands, not sure what to think about everything that she had been told. More tears slowly making their way down her cheeks, as her mind went back to vision of the dwarf and elleth professing their love for one another.
"May I........?" A soft voice came. (Y/n) turning her gaze upwards to see a concerned looking elven lord. The peredhel dwarf nodding slightly and giving the elf a smile as he sat beside her.
"I am sorry............"
"For what...........?" (Y/n)'s brows furrowing at the ellon's words.
"For having told you..........."
"No, no.....please. You have nothing to apologise for, my lord. I always knew I would find out about my birth parents eventually. It is not that......its just that I.......well, I feel guilty..........."
"Guilty for what, child........?" It now Elrond's turn to look slightly confused.
"For so long, I have hated my real parents. I hated them for abandoning me. For not loving me, for not caring enough about me, to keep me. But now.......now I know I was wrong to do that. That my father died heroically, doing his best to protect his home from a dragon. That my mother.......my mother died at the hands of orcs, probably doing all she could to protect me. I am an awful, wicked creature, full of spite that has always denied my true self..........."
"I know wickedness, my dear; and you are most certainly not it." Elrond interrupted, as he carefully took her hand.
"No one can blame you for feeling as you did, for having such thoughts. You were not to know any better, so it is only normal to question things; and when there are no answers to those questions, to feel frustration, anger. Yet what you do now, that is up to you. Though I believe that it would serve you better if you accepted what and who you truly are. It is good to honour those that raised you, to always hold them in your heart and love them; but that should not mean you forget where you really come from. And if you wish to stay here and learn more about your mother and your elvish kin, you are most welcome to remain as long as you wish. This is as much your home as it was Ilmamë's. Though I have a feeling that many of the Company you travel with, would like you to stay with them. They are your blood, your family, after all. And I would say that you are not just loved by your brother." The lord continued. His reassuring smile making (Y/n) feel much calmer than she had done before.
"And speaking of those you travel with. I believe I should join them." The ellon told her, as he got to his feet.
"I have had a room made ready for you. You will be able to bathe and change. I can only imagine that after travelling from the Shire, a hot bath would be welcome......." (Y/n) nodding, as he looked down at her.
"Would you do something for me, my lord........?"
"Of course, child.........."
"Would you tell Bilbo that I am alright, and that I will see him later? I still have to get used to all this, as well as come up with a way to tell him and the others. Not that I think for one minute that Thorin will believe me. He will probably claim that I am a liar and refuse to let me travel with them any longer. And me being half elf will be the best reason he could have to say that I am not welcome. But, I haven't listened to him so far, and I don't feel the need to start listening to him now." (Y/n) said, doing her best to see the bright side. Sure, that the idea that his uncle had had not just a relationship with, but also a child with an elf, would anger Thorin no end. And annoying Thorin had actually become one of her favourite things to do. Lord Elrond simply nodding his head, before leaving her.

"Just a mouthful..........."
"I don't like green food." Ori protested, as he and Dori looked at the lettuce leaf in his hand.
"Where's the meat..........?" Dwalin obviously not happy either, that his bowl was filled with thing that were only fit for rabbits to eat.
"Have they got any chips.........?" Ori continued, no one answering him. Just more grumbles from the table, as the sounds of elvish music filled the air. Yet Bilbo wasn't listening to anything, more concerned that he had not seen his sister, since the elvish lord, that had just appeared with Gandalf, had offered them food.
He couldn't help but think on what she had told him before they crossed the bridge; that something was happening to her. That she had been having dreams, visions of people and places that she didn't know and had never been. That she felt as though part of her belonged in the realm of the half-elven lord. Bilbo slowly getting to his feet and making his way over to where the lord, Gandalf and Thorin sat at the head table. The hobbit taking his chance and going to ask his question, when Thorin excused himself.
"Um.........." The elf and wizard turning to look at Bilbo.
"I, er, I was just wondering if you had seen my sister. I appear to have lost her........" Gandalf looking to his old friend at the hobbit's question.
"Indeed, I have, Master Baggins. Mistress (Y/n) is safe and well, I have given her a room and she is taking the opportunity to bathe and change. She asked me to tell that she will join you later." Elrond replied. Bilbo feeling a sense of relief wash over him. The hobbit letting a smile come to his lips, at the notion that (Y/n) was safe. Thanking the lord, before rejoining the others as Bofur took it upon himself to start singing about an inn and a tipsy cat.
