Amelia's POV 

We silently walked back to the safe house. When we got closer to the house, Lara suddenly stopped. Hailey and I turned her way. She made a weird face before staring at a passing deer.

"I'd prefer not to speak about what happened back there."

"Agreed." Hailey and I simultaneously spoke.

"Sorry... to both of you." She flickered her eyes our ways. "I'm sure it wasn't pleasant to hear."

"Which part? You murdering Capucine?" Hailey snarked.

"I thought you didn't like her." Lara smirked.

"Ya, but now there's gonna be a vendetta against us." I stated.

"Hmm... maybe. Maybe not." Lara shrugged.

"Sure you're so confident about that." Hailey huffed.

"She'd have killed you both and you know it." Lara turned serious. "She wouldn't have allowed the both of you to walk out alive."

"Then, why keep us alive for so long?" I asked.

"She sent scouts, didn't she?" Hailey spoke.

"Yes, to tell Geneve we were there. She wanted to distract us long enough for Geneve's forces to arrive." Lara stated. "I know her game. She's not that clever... I'm far more intelligent for her childish games. I wanted the scouts to first be sent, so Geneve would know we're here."

"Why?" Hailey asked.

"So she knows I'm coming to kill her." She smirked.

Hailey and I rolled our eyes as we continued walking. It wasn't long until we arrived back at the compound. We entered and looked to see Alec's relieved eyes.

"Is she going to-"

"Oh, she's dead."

"What?!" Everyone shrieked.

"She irritated me, so I ended her." I facepalmed at Lara's casual response.

"Are you insane?!" Alec snapped. "We needed her!"

"No, she needed me. And I denied her." Lara gave him a bored look.

"Hailey!" He yelled.

"Hey, don't drag me into this." Hailey held her hands up.

"Mia!" He desperately looked my way.

"Okay, I did find that girl to be annoying-"

"My god!" Alec slapped the table. "Lara! You need to learn self control."

"She wouldn't be useful. Call her a casualty."

"Lara, we may not all like our enemies, but we can't dispose of them all."

"Why not? Carla was easy to dispose of." You could hear a pin drop at her comment.

"What?" Yeira entered the room. "You killed her? You told me she went on an extended holiday!" Yeira faced me.

"Dammit, Lara." I groaned.

Lara crossed her arms while Alena and Alec stated that was terribly reckless since Carla could've been an ally during this time. Lara rolled her eyes and stated Carla was only there to rescue her little girlfriend. Ahhh, so that's why Carla was Geneve's little bitch. I knew Geneve had something over her!

"Where's the girl?" Hailey asked.

"She was in Columbia, but heard that place got raided. I think she also got tortured as a way to keep Carla in line."
