Ji-Sun had gotten home from work a bit early, quickly distracting Rae from her earlier interaction with Jin and Min. Rae and Ji-Sun sat at the table, happily eating spicy ramen together for dinner.
"How was Mister Moody today?" Ji-Sun asked between slurps.
Rae rolled her eyes. "He isn't moody, he's particular. There is a difference."
Ji-Sun almost choked on her noodles as she held back a laugh. "Gosh, you're smitten. It's only been a week. I am so curious about who it is! I mean, you had to sign an NDA, that is serious stuff. Give me a hint," Ji-Sun pleaded.
Rae shook her head. "I can't."
Ji-Sun pouted. "That isn't fair! I'm not just anyone, I am your best friend, you're family! You know if things get serious, it is mandatory I meet him, right?"
Rae stared at her ramen, slowly stirring the noodles in her bowl. "You think it could get serious?"
Ji-Sun scoffed. "I think the only thing that would stop it from being serious is you."
Rae shot Ji-Sun a glare. "What is that supposed to mean?"
Ji-Sun smugly shrugged her shoulders, inhaling a large mouth full of ramen before replying. "You self-sabotage, Rae Rae. It's your chronic habit."
Rae was quiet as she focused on her food, slowly chewing her ramen.
Ji-Sun pointed her chopsticks at Rae, her eyes narrowing in an accusatory way.
"I see right through you. Don't run. I know it is your MO but don't get into your head. He's obviously successful, good-looking, and rich. You hit the jackpot, Rae! Embrace it. Remember, you don't have to marry the guy," she assured Rae.
Rae chuckled, shaking her head in disbelief. "I can't believe I am actually wanting to follow your advice right now."
Ji-Sun smiled with her mouth full of noodles. "See, you like him so much that you are willing to follow my advice. This is a big deal. This time next year, I may be at the wedding of the century! Then you can set me up with someone rich and famous too." Ji-Sun clapped her hands.
Rae laughed. "Do not get ahead of yourself."
"Is it G-Dragon?"
"Seriously? Ji-Sun, he is more than ten years older than me!"
Ji-Sun took the information seriously, nodding her head quickly. "So he's close to your age? OK, that helps narrow it down a bit. Is it Key? I know he lives in that area."
Rae put her chopsticks down and crossed her arms, shooting a warning glare at Ji-Sun. "I am not going to answer any more questions. Stop trying to figure it out."
Ji-Sun huffed in disappointment. "The first guy you have been interested in since forever, and I am not even allowed to know his name and stalk him on social media? It's a crime! I am failing in my duty as your best friend by not conducting investigative work. One of the rules in any new relationship is having an unbiased opinion look into them."
"If you really knew he was, I don't think you'd be unbiased. I think you'd be worse," Rae opened up about her fears.
Ji-Sun was ARMY. She was invested and supportive of multiple idols and actors. She loved keeping up with the rich and famous. She knew so many celebrities and she also knew all the dirt. If Ji-Sun had any knowledge that Rae was developing feelings for Min Yoongi...Ji-Sun might actually implode. Rae was certain at this point in time, that Ji-Sun knowing Min's identity would cause more harm than good. Besides, Rae did sign an NDA, and she was committed to keeping her lips sealed.
Ji-Sun hit the table, her mouth open wide in astonishment. "Rae! You cannot say things like that! I am already dy-ing! Ugh!" she dramatically threw her head into her hands, peeking up at Rae to gauge if she felt any pang of guilt. Rae gave her a smug smile and finished her meal.
A/N: Ji-Sun is one of my favorite characters to write. Don't forget to vote! This has helped keep me motivated to consistently post a new chapter daily. Thanks for the love! - E
