Rae's ear piece gave her new directions as she ran around backstage from dressing room to dressing room, her stomach rumbling at the protest of missing lunch in the chaos of the commotion, the smell of the members catered meal wafting to her nose. Min had tried to stop her numerous times to eat, forcing a spoonful of food into her mouth when she briefly entered his dressing room earlier, but Rae didn't want to be idle and still, not when the rest of the staff was working tirelessly to get everything prepared.

Huffing to her next destination, Rae declined the third call from Miles in the course of an hour. Miles had been just as eager as Ji-Sun to hear about the Golden Disc Awards, both of them assuming Rae would be done with work, but Rae hadn't had the time yet to entertain a conversation with either of them, as she was busy helping the production team where she could after she finished wrapping Min's shoulders to secure it in place for the performance.

Rae knew the award show would be an all day event, but watching the members prepare had surprised even Rae. She hadn't realized the extent of preparations needed for a performance, and from what Hobi had said, this wasn't even considered a grand production compared to what they usually do. Jungkook had assured her that if she was blown away by the preparation for the Golden Disc Awards, then the first concert she witnessed would stupefy her.

Rae got to see the boys transform from their comfy sweatpants, baggy shirts and beanies, to perfectly tailored and fitted black and white coordinating outfits, Chanel jewelry adorning their bodies, neatly styled hair, and their immaculate faces that had somehow become even more perfected with a touch of make up.

With the conclusion of lunch, the members were ready to take to the stage. Rae made one more stop to see Min, helping him stretch out his shoulder right before the performance to help loosen up his shoulder.

Min smiled at Rae in the darkness underneath the stage, his black clothing making him blend in with his surroundings. Min brushed a hand over Rae's forehead, sweeping back a loose strand of hair that had escaped her high ponytail, a slight tremor vibrating through his hand.

Rae blanched at the realization that Min was now shifting with unease as he looked up at the roof above him, his hand on Rae's face anchoring him in place.

"Are you nervous?" Rae asked, out of curiosity and sincerity.

She knew how big of a performance this was for Min. The first performance he would have that didn't involve pain, and the first performance in a long three month recovery that he was finally reunited with the other members, and the first performance of a song he had worked incessantly over.

Min uncomfortably shifted as he tugged at the collar of his jacket, like it was too tight, when in fact it was fitted perfectly, using the motion as an exertion for his nerves.

"I'm. . . a bit tense," Min hesitated, tapping his foot in place. "There is a lot of anticipation surrounding my comeback, and thanks to Hobi's vision, the spotlight is on me tonight. I much prefer when it is divided between all of us. . . or if it can't be divided, at least when it more of the attention is directed to Jungkook," Min laughed, his shoulders shaking with the sound of delight that had escaped him, his nerves seeming to ease a bit at his joke.

Rae placed a comforting hand on Min's shoulder, his focus narrowing in on her, her cheeks flushing at the fire in his eyes as he looked to her. "You're Min Yoongi. You deserve to feel this joy. You have worked tirelessly to become the man you are. Don't rob yourself of the satisfaction of your hard work bringing to fruition your moment to cease." Rae leaned in to place a kiss on Min's cheek. "I can't wait to see you on stage."

Min shuddered. "Thank you for the reminder, that realization makes me even more nervous,. Now I will be more focused on not embarrassing myself in front of you," he chuckled.

Rae offered a wicked smiled. "I'll be sure to get it all on film like the fan girl I have truly become."

Min returned the smile, gently nudging her away. "I made sure you had the best view in the venue. I will see you after."

With that, Rae turned on her heel and quickly made her way to the viewing area in the front of the stage. Because of COVID, the performance would be filmed in advance, and it meant the entire live performance would only be viewed by those working on the production. It made the stage, room, and vibe of the entire show more intimate and close, as Rae stood merely 30 feet away from the main stage with Nim on her right, both of them eagerly waiting in anticipation for it start.

With the sound of the Violin playing the introduction to "Black Swan", one by one, each of the members appeared on stage. Jin first, appearing handsome as ever in the corner of the stage, followed by Hobi on the opposite corner. Taehyung, Jungkook, Jimin and RM all repelled down on a moving stage that passed in front of the metal angel wings Hobi had envisioned for the performance.

Rae's breath caught in her throat as the members, all like fallen angels, made their way to the front of the stage, where a cut out in the middle began to move, with Min in the center of the platform.

If Rae hadn't seen Min only moments before, she would have never assumed that he had been nervous or anxious for the performance. The expression on his face was a soft and playful, with the slightest hint of a smirk on his lips, and a subtle intensity in his eyes. Min wore a black jacket with a white lapel, black pants, black leather gloves, his hair slightly wavy and covering his forehead, his classic silver hoops shining against the lights of the stage. His dark piercing eyes had been accentuated with eyeshadow, and Rae couldn't look away. It was the most ethereal Min had ever looked, and the angel wings that framed Min's figure only elevated the effect. Rae couldn't have imagined this moment from the man she had met a few months ago, her mind racing to their first meeting of Min's tussled hair, his broody attitude and enigmatic stare.

Rae flushed with embarrassment as she noticed tears come to her eyes when the members flanked both sides of Min to form a line with him at the center. The emotion in the room was palpable, the room charged with an electrifying feeling as each of the members took their place. Rae noticed even Nim had shifted in silence, his hand in a fist and covering his quivering mouth. The reuniting of the members all together was a monumental moment to witness, and Rae could hardly believe this was her first experience seeing them live.

Concluding the performance the crew paused and set up for a new backdrop, starting with "ON", which Min had to step to the side for, the dance moves still being too much for his recovery time. Then the boys were rushed to change while the set was switched out again. This time the members were put in more casual clothes, Min wearing a burnt orange sweater with a purple and white print, and white t-shirt underneath, with dark jeans and black slip on sneakers. A song so familiar to Rae began to play, "Life Goes On", the lyrics that had been on paper in Min's apartment, now being performed by the members, in the way Min had intended for it to be.

The last performance of the production was "Dynamite", which the members had to film in advance due to their schedules, and with Min still healing, it was the second portion of the award show that he had to miss being a part of.

At the conclusion of the song, Rae and the other production crew members couldn't help but applaud the incredible performance. With the encouragement of the small crowd, the cheers of the members could be heard. Each of the members gathered closely together, encircling each other in an embrace, with Min squeezed right into the center as they all congratulated him on being back.

Min pushed and shoved the members off him, acting like he was irritated by the suffocating closeness of them all, but with a brief catch of Min's eyes, Rae knew he didn't mean it for even a second. There was an unbridled happiness that Rae caught reflected in his eyes, and Rae knew Min had done what she asked. He had given himself permission to feel the joy, and in that moment, Rae decided if he would let her, that she wanted to see Min like that every day, for the rest of her life.
