Rae was still in disbelief her entire drive home. When she woke up that day, she hadn't imagined she would be ending her work day by officially dating Min Yoongi. And although Rae fought against her brain that was telling her how horrible and unprofessional of an idea it was, Rae surrendered to the persuading words of Min instead. She replayed the moment over and over again in her head. She didn't run, she had said yes. Ji-Sun was going to lose it when she found out.

Rae left just before 2 P.M. Min had some work to do and a virtual meeting with Nim, Namjoon, and Hitman Bang. Rae took the time to before dinner to make a grocery run. As Rae left the grocery store, she drove past a group of department stores. Looking at the clock she noticed it wasn't even 3 P.M.

Rae wasn't one to shop, she didn't particularly like the feeling of dawdling about and wandering aimlessly through stores without something in mind to buy, but something about the extra time on her hands, and the Christmas display windows with beautiful and fancy merchandise, tempted Rae enough to make her stop.

She realized she hadn't gotten Ji-Sun a Christmas gift yet, or Chang-Woo, and she didn't want to forget and scramble right before Christmas and risk being empty-handed.

Rae puttered from store to store. Chang-Woo was the most difficult to shop for, but she eventually settled on a Christmas gift basket that had a variety of coffees and fancy chocolates. Food was always her cop-out gift. She knew it would get used, and she didn't like to be wasteful. Plus, Chang-Woo had a stash of snacks and treats at the office, she knew he loved food so the gift was catered to him.

Rae made her way to a beauty store to shop for Ji-Sun. Walking into the beauty store was completely out of her element. It was the only time she would divert to the expertise of the employees to help guide her selections.

A beautiful employee named Bora could immediately see that Rae felt lost as she picked up the various products of makeup, Bora came to her rescue. Rae explained the gift was for her friend who was passionate about all things beauty, and Bora led Rae to one of the main holiday displays that had a brand new limited edition liquid blush that she promised Ji-Sun would swoon over.

Rae was easily sold and told Bora that she would buy that one for her friend. Bora smiled and took her over to the registers to ring her up.

Rae aimlessly stared at the little display to the side of her as Bora scanned the barcode on the blush, and Bora peeped on her tiptoes to see what Rae was fixated on.

"Ahh, Balenciaga Florabotanica, that fragrance is an absolute favorite of mine. Have you tried it before?"

Rae timidly shook her head. She had some perfumes that were gifts from her mother, but she had never chosen perfume on her own. Bora's eyes lit up with excitement as she reached over the counter to grab the sample clear bottle and a test paper, spraying it generously.

"Try this," she insisted, shoving the paper into Rae's hand to smell. The perfume had a mint smell to it, with undertones of rose and carnation. Rae had to admit, she enjoyed the scent.

She peeked at the bottom of the bottle to see the price, and her eyes grew wide. $112.00. Rae tried to suppress her surprise, but Bora caught it immediately.

"I know it seems like a lot to spend on a scent, but this bottle will last for years. Have you bought yourself a Christmas gift yet?" she asked, her accent coming through as she impeccably spoke to Rae in English.

Rae hesitated. She hadn't ever thought of buying herself a Christmas gift, but without her family with her, there weren't many people lining up to exchange gifts with Rae, and the idea of gifting something to herself was appealing.

"I haven't ever bought myself a Christmas gift before," Rae confessed.

Bora grinned. "I think that settles it, then. It's okay to treat yourself every now and again. I know you will love it, and you'll want to wear it every day. What do you say? Want me to ring it up?"

Rae had already pushed herself to her limits today by taking the leaps she had with Min, what was one other jump going to hurt?

Rae smiled and nodded. "I'll take it."

Watching Bora scan the $112.00 bottle of expensive perfume sent a jolt of excitement through Rae. For the first time in her life, she had actually splurged. She had said yes to two things she truly wanted today, and she felt like there was only one person to attribute this new, selfish version of Rae, the version that grabbed joy as soon as she recognized it.

Min. This was all because of Min.
