Min insisted that Rae should unpack while he cleaned up dinner. Rae went to her room and began organizing her things, opening the closet to hang up some of her clothes. At the bottom of her bag was an item that stayed in her luggage to have on hand no matter where she went. Her favorite swimsuit. A bright, cobalt blue two-piece that matched her eyes, hugged what few curves she had, and was a strong contrast to her pale skin. She rarely had an occasion to wear it, but it was one of the few pieces of clothing she owned that made her feel like a million bucks.

It was the dead of winter, Rae had no use for it in Montana, but peering outside her balcony, she saw the perfect opportunity for it. On the deck was a steaming hot tub, and it was calling to Rae's fatigued muscles and mind.

Rae loved to hot tub, especially when it was cold outside. Before giving it a second thought, Rae slipped off her clothes that smelled like the airplane and put on the bathing suit, just in time for Min who had finished cleaning up and had gently knocked on Rae's door.

Rae snagged one of the fluffy white towels from the bathroom and wrapped it around her shoulders before she opened the door. Min's eyes grew wide as he observed the sight in front of him.

Min looked at Rae with an awestruck, dumbfounded expression. "Wh-wh-what are you wearing?" Min stumbled over his words.

Rae couldn't help but smile at the first experience of seeing Min flustered, and she felt a flood of pride fill her chest as she realized she was the reason for it. Min had always been unwavering in his composure. Seeing him falter gave Rae a power she didn't know she craved. A power of Min's sanity, which she felt was only fair considering he had full control over hers too.

"I was going to take advantage of the hot tub. Would you like to join? I know you mentioned you wanted to sleep earlier-"

Min put up his hand. "That was to help calm Nim's nerves. Trust me, I'm very much awake," Min bit his lip as he backed away from the room. "I'll only be a few minutes. I'll meet you in there."

Rae felt her stomach do an unnecessary flip as she gathered an extra towel for Min and a hair clip for herself.

Rae's body was shaking as she braved the cold long enough to wait for the hot tub cover to roll back. Rae rushed into the water, steam visibly coming off the surface. The backdrop of the mountains with the crescent moon peeking through the fluffy clouds gave off a serene setting with the cold winter air mingling against Rae's face.

Ji-Sun had a valid point. If this was the experience of a safe house for a few days, Rae wouldn't be complaining if it happened again.

Before Rae could fully give in to the calm setting, her attention was snapped to the door behind her as she heard Min's footsteps and spotted him covered with a robe that he must've found in his room.

Min did his best to keep his composure as he slid off the robe, the cold air hitting his skin. Rae held back a giggle as he hurriedly jumped in, relief immediately washing over his face as he sunk into the hot water.

Min slowly approached Rae, taking a seat next to her to enjoy the picturesque view. Min had gathered some water in his hands and pushed his fingers through his hair, slicking his black locks against his neck and out of his face. Rae gulped as she stared at Min's exposed shoulders, and felt grateful that the bubbles were hiding everything else from her view. Without them, she wasn't certain her eyes could have diverted away from the distraction that Min was to her. A pleasant, addicting distraction, but a distraction nonetheless.

"What are you thinking about?" Min asked Rae, his eyes searching hers.

Rae looked at the undisturbed snow that surrounded them and raised an eyebrow. "I'm wondering how adventurous you are willing to be with me tonight?"
