Min had opened up to Rae about his childhood and experiences in poverty, how he at one point had to live with other family members because his parents didn't have enough food to feed their family, and how he used to buy lottery tickets during his trainee days. He shared how he was a delivery driver during his early trainee years without BigHit knowing, and how his accident had to remain hushed because he was afraid of getting kicked out of BTS. Min dealt with the pain for years before letting them know what happened. Hearing his story made Rae admire him even more than she had before. He really had come from nothing and rose to be one of the most famous names in Korea.
Rae and Min had found themselves hand in hand on the couch, sharing stories. Rae learned why Min chose the name Agust D and about his experience with Jin as his roommate as a trainee. She wanted to hear it all, and before she knew it, it was already past midnight.
Min stood up to look out the large balcony window, his face growing with concern. "The snow storm is pretty heavy out there. I can't let you drive home at this hour, especially in bad weather."
Rae got up to look and saw Min was right. Thick snowflakes were flooding the dark sky, the visibility hazy.
Min picked up Rae's phone and handed it to her. "You should text Ji-Sun so she doesn't worry."
Rae sent Ji-Sun a text to let her know she wouldn't be home until tomorrow.
"Are you sure it's alright that I stay the night?" Rae questioned after pressing send, suddenly feeling like she had done something wrong.
Min shook his head and laughed. "Why wouldn't it be?"
Rae shrugged. "I just keep feeling like you'll get in trouble being with me, or if you get caught...I don't know, I'm sure Nim and the other members wouldn't be thrilled-"
"They are fully supportive of us," Min said, taking Rae's hand and pulling her in close.
Rae's eyebrows furrowed in confusion. "Wait, you told them?"
Min looked equally perplexed. "Of course I did. You didn't tell Ji-Sun or your family yet?"
Rae shook her head. "I haven't told my family. I told Ji-Sun I had a boyfriend, but I kept your identity confidential. I assumed it had to be a secret."
"Mm, so are you saying because I'm famous, that means we can't share that we are in a relationship?" Min winked.
Rae shrugged in innocence. "I don't know the BigHit celebrity rule book."
"There isn't one, but even if there were, haven't you learned yet that I follow my own rules?" Min cocked his head to the side, his sly smirk appearing on his face. With his dark eyes he looked Rae up and down, biting his lower lip as he placed his hands on her waist and hovered his face next to hers, whispering in her ear. "And you've already seen my jealous side, you really think I wouldn't want it known that you're spoken for?"
Rae's entire body shuddered from his undertone, and her mind went weak. The last words he said kept ringing through Rae's head, his declaration and claim on her, and it consumed her ability to reason or rationalize.
Rae dared herself to place her hands on Min's chest, pushing him back so she could look at his expression; she wanted to be clear about how he felt.
"This - and you - it hasn't been what I expected," Rae confessed softly.
Min smiled. "I hope I can keep surprising you."
Rae felt like she was going to pass out as she thought about what she was going to do next, but she clung to Min's uninjured arm for support and wrapped her other arm around his neck. Min studied her for a moment but confidently moved his body closer, his nose tracing the skin of Rae's neck.
"Min..." Rae breathlessly whispered.
"Mm, yes?" he hummed.
"I'm ready now," she said, almost fumbling over her words in nervousness. "I am ready to let my guard down with you."
Min froze in place, his nose nestled into Rae's clavicle. She could feel him take a deep breath like he was releasing something he had been painfully holding onto.
"Are you giving me permission to kiss you, sunshine?" he asked in his deep, husky voice.
Now it was Rae who felt frozen as she navigated this new, uncharted territory. She was officially letting go.
Min pulled back to look at Rae, his gaze devouring her, the look in his eyes fierce and hungry. Rae's throat was too dry to speak, her nerves overtaking her senses, allowing her only to nod helplessly in response to his question.
Min didn't hesitate at Rae's wordless answer. His face remained composed as he delicately placed his hand on Rae's neck, his thumb rubbing underneath her jawbone. With his usual confidence, Min took the lead and closed the gap between them, his lips softly pressing against hers.
Rae didn't realize Min could send her into an even greater euphoria, but she had been wrong. Her body felt sensations coming from everywhere - a complete sensory overload as his kisses shifted from sweet, soft, and gentle, to eager, hurried, and insatiable.
Min had pushed Rae against the glass of the sliding door, the cold sensation of the frozen window a stark contrast to the warmth being emitted from their bodies that were now intertwined. Min's hand trailed down Rae's leg, smoothly hoisting her up to wrap around his slender torso. He thursted his body forward, pressing into her, closing any space that was left between them.
Rae let her reservations go as she looped her fingers into Min's silky hair, pulling his face closer to hers; his musky scent making her dizzy. Min replied with a satisfied groan and slid his hands underneath Rae's baggy sweatshirt, his hands gripping her bare stomach and hips.
Rae had lost track of time as their breath and lips mingled. Min's hands left trails of fire wherever they touched, Rae's skin burning and her veins pulsing with each transcendent movement. It all felt like a blur; each kiss exchanged, and the way their bodies moved with one another. Rae barely noticed that her emotions had gotten the best of her, as she attempted to pull Min's shirt over his head. She was only brought back to reality when Min winced, and Rae immediately froze, her hands moving from the skin on his smooth chest to now cover her gaping mouth.
"I hurt you. I am so sorry, I let myself get carried away. I don't know what I was thinking-"
Min stopped Rae's mumbling as he lifted the hem of his shirt with one hand, peeling it off of his lean body and throwing it to the floor. His hair was ruffled and his eyes set on her, his mouth slightly open as he intensely stared at Rae.
"You can't hurt me," he growled. "And I never said I wanted you to stop."
Before Rae could even protest, Min took Rae's hands and placed them again on his chest. Rae paused for a moment as she took in the sight of each defining line of his abdomen, his athletic build even more apparent in the dim light. Min was the most beautiful human Rae had ever seen.
Min didn't give Rae much time to admire him for long, his lips finding hers once again, his fingers tangling into her hair as he pulled her in. Rae didn't even hesitate when Min effortlessly slipped Rae's sweatshirt off her body, his hands tracing parts of her that no one else had ever known before. Rae didn't know if she would have the strength to stop him if things went further - parts of her ached for him in ways she had never longed for someone before. She wanted to know him so fully that she knew it would be difficult to stop. Rae felt completely unhinged in Min's arms and in Min's touch - in Min's possession.
Getting a taste of Min ignited cravings in Rae that she didn't even know existed. The way he moved his body to contour to hers, the way his tongue danced delicately against her mouth, the way he made Rae want to disregard any concept of time and restraint - it was liberating. Passionate Min was her complete undoing, and Rae willingly offered her surrender.
