Rae's schedule the next day had been a bit more chaotic than usual. Two additional patients had been added to her route, and Min was still the last visit on her list.

She was grateful for the extended time it gave her by having him as her last patient, but it dragged the day on until it was time to see him. Rae also tried not to think about how a few months from now, when Min no longer needed physical therapy, it wouldn't be convenient and easy to see him, but she let the thought flee by, not wanting to dwell on it until she had to.

Min wasn't aware of the change in her schedule, and Rae couldn't suppress the butterflies when she noticed a text on her phone screen.

UNKNOWN NUMBER: YOU'RE LATE, SUNSHINE.

Rae hadn't considered that they hadn't exchanged personal phone numbers yet, but she was flattered at Min's efforts to get her number and hint that he had been waiting for her.

RAE: WHO GAVE YOU MY NUMBER?

UNKNOWN NUMBER: NIM. WHERE ARE YOU?

RAE: WITH A PATIENT.

UNKNOWN NUMBER: CAN I ADMIT THAT MAKES ME A BIT JEALOUS?

RAE: IT'S AN ELDERLY PATIENT...

UNKNOWN NUMBER: THEY STILL HAVE EYES.

RAE: WELL RIGHT NOW, THEIR EYES ARE CLOSED, AND DEAD ASLEEP HAHA. I'M ALMOST FINISHED, BE THERE SOON.

Rae finished with her last patient about thirty minutes later and made her way to Min's apartment. She was anxious to see him after his text.

As she approached the door, her stomach dropped as she heard Min shouting from behind the door.

"Hajima! Hajima! Hajima!" Min repeated, his voice rising in frustration, the sound emanating into the hall.

Rae felt panic shoot through her at the distress in his voice. Not concerned with being impolite, Rae rushed to open the door and help Min with whatever was causing him to be so alarmed. It wasn't like him to sound disturbed.

Rae heard a commotion in the kitchen and she ran to assist, only to freeze in her tracks at the sight she had entered into.

Min was hanging onto a man that Rae recognized as Kim Namjoon, better known as RM, the leader of BTS. He had on grey apron that was crooked on his tall frame, and his hand was holding a large, sharp cutting knife out of Min's reach. In front of him was a cutting board with various vegetables and ingredients, and a boiling pot of water was beginning to overflow on the stove.

Rae, Namjoon and Min all froze, the chaos turning to silence. Namjoon slowly lowered his arm, his dyed blonde hair pushed to the sides of his forehead, his light blue turtle neck spattered with what looked like hot sauce, or blood, but Rae decided to give him the benefit of the doubt and settle for the hot sauce option.

Namjoon seemed embarrassed as he awkwardly waved the sharp knife in his hand and attempted to break the silence. "Annyeonghaseyo," he said, giving a small bow and a dimpled smile, "I am a friend of Yoongi-yah. I can assure you, this is not what it seems," he assured Rae, smiling through an awkward grin and squinted eyes.

Min shook his head, his heart rate visibly increasing as he motioned for Namjoon to put the knife down on the counter.

"Joon-ah, put the knife down," Min pleaded, and finally managed to apprehend the knife from Namjoon.

"Will you stop worrying? I'm not going to hurt myself, I was just cutting some cabbage," Namjoon claimed as he stepped away from the counter.

"I'm not worried, I'm terrified. You will hurt yourself, me, or Rae," Min insisted as he began cutting the cabbage one-handed.
