Rae had the unpleasant privilege of smelling herself the entire ride over, and she had almost become numb to how badly the odor was on her clothes, but she knew it was there, and she was becoming more self-conscious by the minute. Rae stood in front of Min's apartment for a few moments before gaining the courage to knock on the door.
Min opened the door right away as if he had been waiting for Rae, his arm out of his sling, his hair in a perfect haphazard mess, his hair pushed to the sides of his face and exposing his silver hoop earrings that dangled on each earlobe. He wore a black shirt and black shorts, his regular casual look and color choice making Rae catch her breath. He was stunning - always.
With his soft pink lips, Min gave Rae a sweet smile as he took in the sight of her, his eyes filled with empathy as he observed the mess she was.
"Let's clean you up, sunshine," Min commanded in his hoarse voice. He tugged on Rae's arm, leading her confidently into his apartment. He took Rae's hand and pulled her to his room. Rae didn't know what she had been expecting when Min said he would take care of her, but she hadn't been expecting this.
The lights in Min's room were dimmed, a calm ambiance electrifying the room. Min had the door to his bathroom wide open, and he led Rae inside.
Min's modern bathroom was incredible. The floor was covered in long, rectangular, grey tiles, and the floating double vanity had a beautiful light wood stain finish. An oversized chandelier hung above Min's oversized tub that was positioned next to a large rainfall shower, with tile entirely surrounding it. The tub was filled to the brim with bubbles. The scent of eucalyptus overpowered Rae's nose, and she gladly welcomed it. Rae finally took in her first deep breath since leaving her patient's house.
The bathroom was dimly lit with candles that had been set up around the bathroom. Soft piano music played from wall speakers, and a plush towel and clean sweats had been placed on the beautiful bench next to the tub. Rae could see what was happening, but she was still struggling to process if it was real.
"What is all of this?" Rae nervously asked.
Min's hand landed on Rae's lower back, the sensation of his touch sending chills up her spine.
"It's a bath," he replied simply.
"Y-Yes, but it's your bath," she stumbled on her words.
"And?"
"I can't use your bath," responded Rae.
"Ahh, do you need some help?" Min cocked an eyebrow, his head tilting to the side as he watched Rae squirm in the mirror, his hand smoothly sliding beneath the fabric of her scrubs and resting directly on the skin of her hip. "Or some company?" He winked.
Rae's throat went dry, her stomach lurching into knots as she tried to comprehend how the gorgeous man standing next to her was flirting with her, even when she was covered in literal vomit.
Min didn't tease Rae further, successfully leaving her speechless as he nudged her forward into the bathroom.
"You can leave your clothes in the hamper outside the bathroom door. Take as long as you need, and call me if you need anything. You can come join me in the kitchen when you're finished." Min gently shut the door and left Rae in privacy.
Rae took a deep breath as she took in the impeccable bathroom one more time. Rae was in awe that in a matter of twenty minutes, Min had put together a serene escape for her to indulge in, and Rae was beaming.
She couldn't recall the last time she had a bath. Back in Montana, baths were Rae's haven. Since moving to Korea, her apartment only had a shower, and with COVID she hadn't been to a public bath house in ages. When Min said he would take care of her, she didn't realize the extent of his claim. She didn't just feel taken care of, she felt completely doted on.
