D-DAY TOUR

DAY ONE

NEW YORK CITY

THREE YEARS LATER

The stir of the crowd ignited anticipation in Rae, her hands clapping in sync with the steady chant of Min's stage name. Agust D! Agust D! Agust D! Agust D! The red ARMY Bomb light sticks glowing, the crowd drenched in black and grey and D-Day merchandise, the cheers vibrating through Rae's bones.

Rae closed her eyes, letting the moment sink in, inhaling a long, shaky breath as she exhaled from the private suite Min had secured for her, Ji-Sun, and her family to exclusively view the concert.

Steve and Lorena seemed sorely out of place, Rae's father insisting to wear his leather boots, wranglers, and cowboy hat to go with his oversized D-Day black tour t-shirt that Min had autographed in silver sharpie.

Lorena wasn't much better, wearing her favorite pair of farm clogs for comfort - which she claimed she needed because she planned to be on her feet, standing to sing along to every song. Her usual set of yellow and white daisy earrings danged alongside her long blonde hair. Lorena was wearing a D-Day black sweatshirt, the grin never leaving her face as she clutched her ARMY bomb tightly to her chest that hung on a custom Agust D lanyard.

Miles had been the most embarrassing of all, donning baggy pants and his best pair of sneakers as he tried to match Min's effortless style for the concert. Miles had proudly displayed his VIP badge, flashing it at staff any chance he got, and secured an autograph from Min on his bicep. He had on a fake silver chain necklace and held a plate of free food in one hand, and his phone in the other, filming every second of the evening, while sending eyebrow raises and desperate winks at Ji-Sun who graced him with a few brief moments of attention.

Ji-Sun, even being severely jet-lagged, had at least looked the part. Her hair was sleekly styled in a straight high ponytail, displaying her sharp bone structure, her skin glowing underneath the dim lights of the suite. She wore a black crop top and pleated mini skirt, with leather boots and silver jewelry - the only sign of her connection to Min being her VIP badge that was nonchalantly poking out of her leather clutch.

Rae smiled as she caught her reflection in the window of the suite, the image of her a shock and pleasure to see. Min had provided a stylist for Rae's hair, make up, and attire for the first night of the tour, and Rae had never felt so spoiled. The sleeveless black dress was simple and elegant, with just enough of an edge with the uneven hemline and exposed back, while Rae's curled hair was loose and long, brushing against her bare shoulder blades. The heels she wore were oddly comfortable, and made Rae's short legs appear elongated and slender. She had personally added a few sprays of Min's favorite perfume that Rae had purchased at Christmas three years prior, the scent Min swooned over the most. She proudly wore her M necklace, another gift from Min, and a simple pair of gold hoops to compliment the jewelry.

Rae hadn't had the chance to see Min again before the stylist had finished the final touches on her make up, and she looked forward to seeing his reaction at the conclusion of the concert.

Rae peeked at her phone that she clutched tightly in her hand, catching a glimpse of the time displayed on the screen. 6:58 PM. The concert was set to start at 7 PM sharp. Min's excitement and nerves had visibly radiated all day, the weight of starting the tour inflicting a wave of varying feelings.

The tour signified a lot of things. It showed that Min had exceeded his expectations and hopes as an artist - and artist not only known in BTS - but as a stand alone artist too. Agust D. He had a world tour dedicated to him and to the music he passionately created, being sung by millions of fans.
