Min's fingertips thrummed on Rae's bare back, like he was composing a song just for her as he traced the length of her spine, her back arching into his tender touch. Min's face stared up at the ceiling of his bedroom, his gaze fixated on the chandelier, a smirk spreading across his lips as he felt Rae withering underneath his fingertips.

"We never finished our conversation," Rae pointed out, tracing circles on Min's chest.

Min's eyebrows raised. "Mmm, didn't we? I thought the conversation led right where it was supposed to. Or would you disagree?" his voice teased, the sound a husky rumble that made Rae's toes curl.

"I won't complain about where it got us. . ." Rae said, motioning to the bed that she never wanted to leave, curled into Min's side as Rae admired every perfect feature.

Min's rose pouty lips, his smooth skin, his feather like dark eyelashes that framed his onyx eyes that could have held space and all the stars within them, his black hair that was always disheveled with ease and swagger. Min's body, his demeanor, was the epitome of self-confidence and self-awareness in the sexiest way. Rae knew she would never tire of it.

Min flashed a toothless smile, licking his lips as his stare bore into Rae. "This end result was my answer, my surrender," he playfully winked before he eyes turned back to being sincere. "Honestly, I agreed as soon as you mentioned what it would mean to ARMY. You were right to look at it in the bigger picture. Even if it somehow inspires one person, no matter how unnecessary I feel it is or how over the top it may appear. . . it isn't about me. Doing this, being a part of BTS, it has never been about me. I appreciated your reminder, sunshine, and I will tell Hoseok that I agree to move forward with his "dark angel" concept."

"You will?" Rae asked in surprise.  Min's eyes glittered with satisfaction as he observed Rae's reaction, her eyes blinking rapidly as she took it in.

"You've been very persuasive," Min tsked, clicking his tongue.

Rae's eyes narrowed at Min as she defended herself from his teasing. "I wasn't trying to seduce you into siding with me, if that is what you are insinuating." Rae bit her lip, the words alone flustering her to say them out loud.

Min chuckled as he turned on his side, his hair falling into his face as he looked at Rae, his head laying against his arm on the pillow. "Not at all, but I do think it's important to acknowledge that you do have that power over me, whether you use it or not," Min's proud smirk gleamed as he winked at Rae. "I'm supportive of every conversation leading to this," he added, his fingertips now brushing up Rae's shoulder.

Rae chuckled, laying a hand flat against Min's exposed chest, feeling his steady heartbeat beneath her skin. "We will have plenty of opportunities for more moments like this," Rae assured him.

Min's eyebrows raised. "You make it sound like we have all the time in the world," he said with a hint of delight.

"I hope we do," Rae quickly admitted.

Min's dark eyes thrashed like a storm as he surveyed Rae's face, the intensity deepening the longer he held her gaze. "Careful, sunshine. When you talk like that, you make it sound like you envision a future with me," Min said, his words barely above a whisper, like he was hesitant to say them too loud and scare her away.

Rae's hands drifted to Min's face, cupping his cheek, her thumb hovering over his chin. "I do envision a future with you," she stated quietly, pushing past the fear of being too vulnerable and too honest, too soon.

Min's eyes flared at the confession. "Tell me what you envision." Not a question, not a request, but a soft command.

"You really want to know?" Rae breathed, inhaling Min's citrus scent.

"Desperately," he said, pausing briefly before another mischievous smirk spread across his face. "I'll even beg if I have to."

"As much as I'd love to see that. . ." Rae's lips twitched into a smile. "There is no need. I want to be transparent with you," Rae assured him, nervously tucking a loose strand of hair behind her ear.

Min's expression was solemn, the way he looked at Rae almost reverent as he took her all in. "I know you do. It's one of the things I love about you. Everything when it comes to you. . . it's always been clear."

Rae nodded in agreement, understanding exactly what Min meant. She had felt the same way. It terrified her how fast things had been able to move between them, but she knew it had unfolded that way because everything had been so right. Natural. Understood. Easy. Complimentary. Complete. All descriptions for what being with Min was to her.

Min let out a deep sigh as he looked at Rae, longing flashing in his eyes. "Tell me what you're thinking in that beautiful head of yours."

Rae gave a tight smile. "It's New Years Eve. A new year, meaning new beginnings. . .and I want that - for me, for us. I want to push myself out of my comfort zone. I want to do the things that excite me, and be around the people that make my happy. I want to experience new things with you - be with you. I want to stay by your side and be there for every concert, every step as you make your comeback this year." Rae bit her lip in anticipation for her next confession, realizing there was no turning back once she said it, but she knew it was the right decision. "I want to take the job."

"You'll accept the job offer?" Min whispered, his eyebrows raising in surprise.

Rae nodded, swallowing the gulp of anxiety that tried to display on her face.

Min's eyes settled on Rae like a dark, consuming fire. "Are you scared?"

"Terrified," Rae huffed, letting out shaky breath.

Min's hand was warm against Rae's cheek as he held her fears, held her and pulled her in close. "I promise you won't be disappointed. I will ensure you have no regrets in saying yes."

"I know I won't have any regrets. You have always taken care of me."

Min offered Rae a warm smile. "I always will."

Rae peered up at Min, placing a gentle kiss on his cheek that became hot at the touch. "Happy New Year's Min."

Min bit his lip as he held back a grin that had spread across his face. "And cheers to the best year yet, sunshine."
