This is going to be fun.

“Grace is going to live with us till you both get engaged,” Sabrina repeated excitedly with a big smile on her face. Innocent, she did not know he heard her the first time. His jaw clenched, not liking that idea a bit. I pressed my lips together, stopping myself from laughing out loud.

“I'm so excited,” I said while hugging my little sister. My eyes stayed on him. He glared at me with a disbelieving look in his eyes when I happily agreed to go to my father's house. He was surprised, but at the same time, he was looking super mad. The grumpiness I saw on his face a few minutes ago was nothing compared to what I was seeing now.

"Come, let's sit,” I said, taking Sabrina with me. I don't think he will be out of that shock soon. I hugged Lilly.

"Fergus, can you please bring some snacks?" I asked him, who was standing on the corner, observing everything.

“Yes madam” He nodded his head before walking away. My face cringed when he called me madam. He has chosen to call me madam in front of people.

"But why does she need to stay with you till our engagement, and it's anyway, it is just in a few days?” he said, suddenly getting our attention. Not sounding polite a bit. Three of us looked at him.

“Exactly! She only gets to stay with us for a few days. Grace, why don't you stay with us until you get married?” Sabrina suggested. His eyes glinted, liking that idea. My lips parted, but no words came out of my mouth. I don't think I will be able to survive in that house that long. I would love to stay with Lilly and Sabrina, but not with my father.

"What?” Once again, Erick straddled us with the sternness in his voice. Not like that idea even a bit.

“Erick” Sabrina was about to repeat herself when Lilly stopped her.

“No, we won't keep her away from you until your marriage. It's just that we both miss Grace so much. She has never stayed with us after she left for college, and now she will soon be married off. So we want to spend these three, four days with her,” Lilly said with a smile on her face.

“Even if her father doesn't say it, he misses her as much as we do,” Lilly said while covering my hand with hers. I wanted to scoff, but instead, I licked my lips and pressed them together. Shopping myself out of saying something rude. She doesn't need to tell him a lie to convince him. I know my father never missed me for even a day in the past few years, and he knows it too. I don't like it when she takes my father's side. I know she is trying to improve my relationship with my father, but our relationship is broken beyond repair. Nothing would make me feel the affection I once felt for my father again. I have always been a burden on him, which my mother left on his shoulder after her death. I can never be a daughter to him. I'm always going to be his unwanted burden.

“We are going to have a lot of fun,” Sabrina said excitedly while hugging me from the side. Her excited voice pulled me out of my thoughts. I swallowed the lump forming at the base of my throat and blinked my eyes. This was not the right time to think about those things. It would be better if I didn't even think about those things because they don't matter anymore.

“We will.” I looked down at her and gave her a small smile. Fergus was back with the snacks in just a few minutes. He remembers Sabrina like chocolate and Lilly as a latte. I smiled at him, and he gave me a nod before again walking back to the position where he was standing previously.

“You both enjoy the snacks. I will go and get my bag ready,” I said, and Sabrina nodded her head while sipping her smoothie.

“You are taking her with you now,” Erick said, stopping me indirectly.

“Yes, Erick. We are here to take her with us.” Lilly once again cleared his mind. His face twitched again. She hides her smile behind her cup while moving her head in amusement. I stood up and started to walk away. I could feel his eyes on my back. He was trying to make holes in my back.

“Erick, why don't you sit with us? It's been a while since we talked,'' Lilly said, stopping him from following me. I went to the room and took out my small duffle bag. I put some office clothes and some night clothes in my bag. I need some toiletries. I walked to the washroom. I got some pads and then grabbed my brush. I put them in a small pouch. I was busy grabbing a few more things when the door of the bathroom burst open. I turned my head, only to find him walking inside furiously.

“Tell them you are not going with them,” he said sternly, making me turn around to face him.

“Why would I do that?” I said with furrowed brows while looking at him. He cut the remaining distance between us.

“Because you don't want to go with them,” he said, and my brows furrowed even more.

“When did I say that?" I asked, making him more irritated. His nose flared in irritation. I pressed my lips together, stopping myself from laughing out loud. I was enjoying the way he was getting distressed.

“You are going to tell them that,” he said sternly, coming straight to the point.

“But I want to go with them. I'm excited to go and spend some quality time with my sister,” I said, refusing to say what he wanted. A muscle in his jaw twitched when I said that. Hai's cold blue eyes are now throwing fire instead of ice.

“Tell them you are not going with them, and I don't want any argument over it,” he said, sounding more serious. I exhaled and rolled my eyes. If he thinks I will get scared, then he is wrong.

“No,” I said with a smirk on my lips. I denied it on his face once again, refusing to do what he wanted. I'm not his puppet. He pursed his lips and nodded his head, not liking my rebellious words. Nose once again, flaring in anger.

“I know why you are doing this,” he said in the same tone while taking a threatening step. Once again, you are trying to intimidate me by taking all my personal space.

“So be a good girl and say no to them before I make you do it,” he said, trying to dominate me. I glared at him.

“If you want me to stay here so badly, then go and tell them yourself. Go and break my little sister's heart. Tell them I can't go with them because you can't live a day without tormenting me,” I said while folding my hands on my chest and challenging him. He put his hands in his pocket and looked up as if summoning his last remaining patience. He exclaimed and then looked down at me. I don't know why I felt chills running down my spine when he looked at me like that. He moved forward, making me take a step back. The edge of the sink pressed on my back.

“If you think you will get away from me by going with them, then you are wrong,” he said in the same challenging tone. His ice-cold blue eyes looked straight into mine.

“I don't think so. I'm sure about it. At least I don't have to see your stupid face for a few days'' I retorted back with a smirk on the corner of my lips. He moved his face forward, making me move back. The edge dug into my back even more. The look in his cold blue eyes once again managed to give me a chill. That look of challenge in his eyes made me doubt myself. An evil smirk formed on the corner of his lips. I don't know if I was as sure as I was a few seconds ago.

“That's where you're wrong, my doll."
